Went on a slow Sunday evening. Waited a good 10 minutes before a server came by-no big deal as we…read morewere likely saving money not being on the casino floor! The server was pleasant. Ordered one order of Ebi Prawn platter and one order of the Southwest Salad (that includes chicken). The server took our order and asked if we wanted Chicken or Prawns. I said chicken. The food arrived a short while later but with a double order of chicken. My wife was about to comment and I told her it wasn't a big deal, so she backed off. The Ebi prawns tasted yummy but the salad was absolutely gross. We took no more than 2 bites and told the server when he came to check in how everything was, that it tasted off. He said "I'll let the kitchen know". He didn't ask if we wanted anything else and to be honest, nor did we suggest an alternate as we were completely put off. Now here's the clencher.....when we got the bill, not only did he charge us the full amount, we paid for double the chicken! Feeling uncomfortable asking for a lounge manager, we simply paid and left. In hindsight I wish I hadn't left a decent tip. The server, although pleasant needs more training on the lounge menu (I've seen him work in the adjacent Noodle Bar area) and needs help in how to handle problem situations or at the very least call the manager. Aside from drinks, that'll be the last time we ever go there!

You know that scene in Matrix 2 with the old man who talks really fast, and there are 100s of TV…read morescreens behind him? Well, Schank's is like that but with sports playing on those TVs and less the old man. Feel like being a cheapskate on [ insert sport ] night? Follow the below steps: 1. Go to Schank's; 2. Order a $5 dollar platter of fries and $4 bottomless pop; 3. Every time your server asks you, "are you doing alright?", tell her: "could I get a refill?" 4. Repeat the above steps 3 more times until the game is over. If you're disciplined, you'll have paid $13-15 bucks to eat AND watch a pay-per-view event. The great thing is, the servers won't give you attitude so don't be stingy on tipping. *NOTE: check in here with your Yelp app and redeem a coupon for a free game of mini golf.

So... This is a bizarre review…read more.. The food, I have to say, was pretty good. Solid pub fare. The most enjoyable hot wings I've had at a pub in years. Nachos that were cheesy and loaded with toppings. Weird toppings maybe, and a very strange tasting salsa, but not bad... The ambiance on a Monday night is a little meh. Only about 6 tables seated in quite a large, voluminous space, made it feel a little vacuous. Maybe if they turned their lights down a bit the vibe might be a bit nicer. They sure like their decorative lights here.... The server was very nice. Pleasant, but could have come around to check on things a couple times more, especially since it was so quiet. Now, for the weird part... Toward the end of my nachos I lost my appetite when I saw a mouse scurrying on the floor. It was very daring and was exploring under tables right up to me. I notified my server and she said "oh we know, we try to catch them but it's difficult. I think we caught one a couple days ago. Yesterday I saw one run up the stairs. I'm sorry you had to see that. Would you like a box for your nachos?" Um, no thanks! I finished my drink while watching this mouse wander around a few more times, and ANOTHER mouse come out from the opposite side of the room. and decided it was time to leave. There was no other response from my server about this - I just paid my bill and left. I get that this is a port town close to water, but it seems like these folks probably need to get a bit more serious about pest control.

Apparently it becomes a dance floor where we were seated and that was the calm before the storm. Husband's burger was burnt, so we appreciated that our server took it away and comped us a new one. Kids seemed to enjoy their food. Place is noisy with sports games on the TVs. Parking is a little challenging in the underground lot but I liked that it was free. If coming to this building, I prefer the Wild Fig for brunch. Great service. Average food. Unmemorable atmosphere.

Four of them were perfectly cool, but this one guy was being incredibly rude and told me to get out. All I said in response was, "Calm down," with a smile on my face. I then asked his friends what the issue was, and they explained that they had paid for the table. I apologized and prepared to head out, but before I could leave, the guy became extremely rude again. I repeated, "Calm down," and that is when he pulled a knife on me. When he saw that I wasn't threatened by the knife, he went and reported me to security. Then, the security guards had the absolute audacity to tell me that I had to leave because I was the one with a knife, claiming it was caught on camera. I told them straight up: search me right now and show me the video. They refused to do either. Sure, okay. Scrapping my personal experience entirely, if I were to ever go here again, I now know for a fact that there are groups of intoxicated people carrying knives or weapons inside this venue, even after security claims they search people at the door. Ridiculous.
