I went to work 15min after the service and 3 min in to my drive, I started smelling a burnt scent and started hearing grinding noise. I was advised that it was normal and sent me a video for the correct way to break in my break pads/rotors. I drove my car only short distances for the next few weeks and informed Uchanics that it is still making noises and the burning scent is still present. It turns out my calipers where seized. Due to the service tech rushing, he did not get to check the calipers. I got the rotors, break pads, calipers fixed at a different shop. This terrible experience happened in April. They've stopped responding to my emails and it is now September. I am still currently waiting for my reimbursement from Uchanics.

After years of going to my dealer's service bay and trying a few other places, I permanently…read moreswitched to AutoNiche several years ago, and haven't looked back since. Professional service, staff who know what they're talking about, and a no-BS environment. To this last point, their diagnostic tools make it pretty straightforward for me to decide, of their recommendations, what I want to proceed with now vs later. Let me tell you a story - in Feb 2017, I drove over a nail while driving on the QEW and found myself on the side of the highway with a blown tire, sitting about an hour away from home. My first call was to AutoNiche, and they didn't disappoint - in fact, their reaction helped me get through the situation. Emily and her team quickly assessed the situation over the phone, and talked me through the steps to take to get back home safely. They even helped me arrange a rental car for the time that my car was being repaired - by the time I dropped off my car. All of this was pretty comforting - I knew I could call AutoNiche to get knowledgeable perspective when I was shaken up, and they helped me through the situation. Best part during the process, they always focused on me - they never talked about themselves. They're pretty awesome, and full transparency here - I'm still a customer and I completely trust them to help me with my car needs. When I bought a new car in mid-2017, the first and only place I asked for an opinion was AutoNiche. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for an experience (regarding car repair, maintenance or next purchase) that consistently exceeds expectations.

Car taken in for rustproofing. After finishing the spraying process at the back of the building,…read morethe technician who applied the spray drove the car to the front of the building. His shoes were heavily exposed to the chemical used during the rustproofing process. A significant amount of the chemical was transferred to the rubber floor mat (driver's side), to the rubber covers of the gas pedal, brake pedal, and the parking brake he used though the car was parked on a flat surface, not a downhill portion of a road. The [P] position of the transmission was more than enough to keep the car in the very spot parked. There was no justification to use the parking brake. Store declined to answer what kind of chemical can be used to remove the slippery material transferred to pedals. Suggested a visit to the store where the cleaning can be performed by an employee of Autoniche. Too much carelessness and lack of attention to details.

TIRE CHANGE OVER (Re & Re)…read more These guys got their ship together (auto-correct!) Came in to change out my winter tires for summer tires and was a little worried due to the physical distancing rules in our province. Upon setting up an appointment through their website, an email was received for confirmation as well as the new protocol for customers during the pandemic. Each customer comes in 5 minutes before their appointment through the front door. There will be an invoice on a table to the right with your name on it and the service you requested. You take the invoice and head back to your car. Once in your car you place the invoice on the dash as well as your lock-key for your rims if you have one. Then you drive to the west side of the building and cue up in your car till you are ushered into the bay area. You park your car in the spot allotted for you and have the option to stay inside your car or wait outside. They then hoist your ride on jacks and change your tires accordingly while keeping a safe distance. After the service they ask what type of credit card you will be using and bring you the appropriate POS machine. There you tap and VOILA, you're good to go! Honestly, this process was smooth as butter. The staff are very professional and super efficient. The entire process took about 40 mins! This place is amazing and worth checking out! Thanks Steelecase keep up the great work!
