I was a first-time visitor to this recycling center in the city of Chino. This center accepts just about anything and everything. I was relieved when I called this place inquiring about the policy on acceptance of two large screen TV's. I had tried nine different locations and I was advised that did not accept TV's. One recycling center advised me that they DID accept TV's but it would cost me $40.00 per TV to drop them off. Chale!! One call to Attan Recycling and they advised me that they did in fact accept TV's and all other electronics free of charge as long as I personally delivered the items to their warehouse. I loaded to TV's onto my truck and I made the twenty minute drive to the city of Chino. The employees here were extremely friendly, helpful and very professional and they also hand you a tax donation receipt at the end of your visit. read more

I arrived with my printer and some cables. The worker came to help me drop off my electronics the moment I arrived and the service was quick and easy. I had to drive 15 miles to get here but it was worth the trip. I definitely recommend this place if you need to recycle electronics . read more

Last service used & my last when the 2 employees short (4'7) spiky hair Mexican and his cousin were seen snooping around my vehicle talking in Spanish about gutting the vehicle for parts, "look at the bumper my cousin needs it replaced it'd be perfect to rip off and for a treat we should take the converter too huh" of course I didnt ignore such threats since I can just bring it up to the manager. Well FUNNY thing is about the manager he doesn't speak a lick of English couldn't even saying "recycling center" to me. There was a woman in the front trying to help translate while there was a stroller and literal toddlers inside the payment office where they pay you for your electronics you drop off since they sell it to other recyclers and make the profit off you. In terms of value of this place it's more than obvious they have a system of hiding their criminal activity employees and yet no HR or proper complaint process I was just standing repeating while being met with a smile as if it's a joke to them (again he doesn't understand). They brought out what I assumed to be the only logical person "Wei" but upon telling what happened I was met with a stern new attitude people & they took the side of the employees. So let's make very LOUD & CLEAR everyone SHOULD know every item you drop at their facility gets gutted,weighed and placed into containers to be shipped out to foreign countries. They are not being properly recycled as what they advertise. having to use another company employees for pick ups since they are licensed to show up at the building they're not the same company. Also same employees have been caught and slapped on the wrist for stealing personal information and selling it on eBay and locally. I caught one employee trying to stash around 80 sticks of memory for a computer to resell on the side. The place is extremely sketchy and I wouldn't trust bringing your information let alone electronics while they rip you off. Also they try to change the name of their established name often. Today, 11/05/23, I brought some outdated electronics to their truck in a grocery store parking located in Altadena. I got there at 2:40 pm (DST). As I made my way over to their truck, the guy looked right at me cruising toward him. Then, as I pulled up, he closed the back of the truck and raised the lift gate. He asked me if I had any electronics. I said I did. Then, he said, "We ain't taking no more today." Well, I did try to do the right thing vis-a-vis recycling. However, this company appears to be too dysfunctional to be able to carry out their 'mission.' read more

Currently in line waiting to dispose all my non working electronics, it's been more than 40 mins that we been sitting in the car inside Rosemead High School parking lot. There are only 2 workers at this event, one loading the truck while the other one is checking all the electronics to see if it's acceptable. Whomever is in charge needs to do a better job at organizing the event because it literally killing my whole mood..and wasting my time when I can be running other errands. They should have at least two loading section and more people working and helping sorting what's acceptable and what not instead of having people sit in there car waste time. I've seen people bringing random house stuff to dispose too and I thought this was mainly ELECTRONICS but people be bringing some random stuff around the house like luggage, shovels, and other non electronics related items which makes the process even longer!!! They do driveway pickups by appointment. There is a fee for the drive depending on location but once that's settled they get the job done. Best to call them at least 3 days in advance to make a driveway pickup appointment so they can add you to their schedule. Call in advance to ask in detail what they do or don't pick up for recycling so you can make sure you are recycling an acceptable item. Customer service is good. read more

The staff is friendly. When I called to ask about the items you can recycle. The representative was very nice. She explained what they accepted and the hours operation. You will need to drive all the way to the back. They do ask for id and you will need to fill out a form. Easy process. read more

At the rosemead high school event and they take soooooo long. There are literally 20 plus cars just waiting to dispose of there electronics. It honestly does not make me want to dispose with them and just throw it in the dump if they arent doing anything to speed up the process. As an owner wouldn't you want your process at these events to be quick instead of making people wait. It just gives a bad taste in your mouth of the company. We have things to do then just wait an hour plus to recycle this when we could just throw it away and not wait. read more

I would recommend Attan Recycling. They came out to Covina to pick up a rear protection tv that had a 58" screen. Not a small tv, it was over 50 lbs and we only had to pay $35 for pickup whereas other electronic recycling centers were going to charge $130 +. They came and picked it up even when we were not home. I attended the electronics recycling event that was held at Rosemead High School on Sunday 10/8/17 at around 1pm PST intending to drop off an unused printer for recycling. After I parked my car, I walked up to the two gentlemen who were wearing Attan Recycling shirts and before even greeting me, one of them (the older of the two) said: "We aren't accepting any items right now, come back in 10 minutes." I said "OK" and asked him what time the event ended and he said "2pm". I looked around and saw a sign that stated "No Printers". Since I saw that sign and was intending to recycle my printer, I decided not to wait 10 minutes. Before getting back in my car, I asked the same gentleman if he worked for the city to make sure I knew his association with the recycling event and he said: "No, the city would take longer." I then got in my car and left. I was surprised by the gentlemen's communication style and comments. He also provided conflicting information regarding the event ending at 2pm because the recycling event banner stated the event would occur on Saturday 10/7/17 and Sunday 10/8/17 each day from 9am - 3pm. I hope this constructive feedback will be helpful for stakeholders at the organization. It's unfortunate that an organization with a well-intended purpose and important mission to our community and world was misrepresented by an individual with poor customer service and communication skills. I have two old TVs. They are huge and heavy. They took my room and my daughter's room space for a long time. After contacting with Attan Recycling, they were willing to pick them up. A young guy came to pick up all of my E-waste. He took hard disks from four old computers PCs. I was so grateful that he came to resolve my headache problems. So I just moved into my new house and the previous owners left one of those super old thick Mitsubishi tv that's so heavy. I called this place to schedule a pick it. They even offered same day but i wasn't home so i did a few days later. The driver was right on schedule, very nice and was able to get the tv out within 5 mins ! I paid $25, not bad right? If I ever need to get rid of e waste I will defiantly contact this place again. read more

I don't know why there are bad reviews for this company. I had a great experience. They will do local free pickup (They're in Chino, I'm very close) if you have a lot of things like me. I had several computer towers, monitors, laptops, boxes of cables, motherboards, video cards etc. Way too much to fit in my car. I called their office and the manager took my info. I got a call back 10 minutes later that the driver could be at my house within the hour. The driver took everything. My E-Waste is gone. I'm very happy, I would use them again. I wasn't expecting such fast service. I will use them again. read more

I am very disappointed with the Attan Recycling Corp. I set up a recycling event with them over 3 months before the event date and went through all the procedures with everything looking good to go. 10 days before the scheduled event, I contacted them to find out when they would be putting up the advertising signage and that is how I learned that they had cancelled the event! Apparently they had decided to cancel months before but did not bother to inform me or try to reschedule. Since it takes 30 day for the state of California to approve an E-Waste Recycling event I had to cancel. I understand problems arising and that they may have needed to cancel, but their extreme lack of communication with me left me without an event and without any sympathy for the company. read more
