NEVER AGAIN! I went in for HIGHLIGHTS ONLY and everything was fine until she started to do my color and said well next time you book with someone you make sure and tell them how much hair you have and that its enough for five appointments. Well that made me feel horrible. Then in the middle of highlights she started saying I just keep mixing and mixing more and more. And she repeated herself several times on How I have too much hair and she had to push out her last appointment etc. She didnt have time to blow dry me, and she obviously didnt have time to wipe the color off my face either I left with wet hair and color all over my face. It literally took her 2-1/2 hours total... I have never left a salon under 3 hours to do my highlights. Her website says starting at $100. I PAID $390! I got the hint lady! She obviously doesn't want to do my hair again after all the comments and the price. I do NOT recommend going here unless you want to be treated rudely and overpay! I left feeling horrible about my experience. I even spoke to her on the phone prior to going and told her I have long thick hair. She is the one that overbooked her appointments. read more

Being having my hair colored and cut there for years by Tu (spelling) and Sarah cuts my picky teenage boy's hair.

I had made appointments here for my bridal nails/makeup/hair, and for wedding day nails/makeup/hair for myself, my mom, and all of my bridesmaids. Thank goodness I made the bridal nail appointment first, because if I'd walked in there on my wedding day it might have ruined my wedding. The place is awful - cramped, only 2 chairs in the waiting area, and full of tacky knickknacks and useless "stuff" for sale so that you can't move without bumping into one or another of their cluttered, brightly-colored displays. Why does a salon need to sell corkscrews, exactly? Even the back seemed super-cramped, and the whole place was extremely warm, like maybe their a/c was broken or something. I was told that the nail artist was running an hour late on appointments - even though it was only 10 am, and I only saw one or two other customers in the entire place. The receptionist didn't seem concerned at all that I might have other things to do and that regardless of what time I told her I needed to be elsewhere, what mattered to me was going in at the time I had made an appointment for. She just kind of stared at me, and would disappear into the back and then come back, like it was shocking anyone wouldn't be happy with the situation. I cancelled all of my appointments - too bad for them since it was going to be a couple thousand dollars all together - and am going to find somewhere that doesn't feel like a horrible garage sale. read more

I'm pretty particular about getting a haircut, seeing that every time I try to go to a quick and cheap place I get a lopsided mess. Atrium is my go to place for a haircut in Houston, with a men's haircut at $25. I've had 3 different stylists work on my hair, and they've all turned out great, getting me exactly what I wanted. Definitely recommend this to anyone willing to pay for a mid priced men's cut. read more

Being that this is the first time I've been here, it wasn't that bad... I went in for an afternoon of relaxation and had a decent time. The first impression is yes... the place is a little small with a bunch of knick knacks for sale (BareEssential makeup, rings, necklaces, etc.). And it definitely took up more space, but it was cute... kinda... The young lady at the front that checked me in was cute and really nice. After checking in, I realized that there was not a locker room for you to change in, so be prepared to disrobe inside the room and put your clothes in the corner. I started off with a hot stone massage that was not bad, but not something I was impressed with. Then again... I'm comparing this to my first hot stone massage I got on a cruise about nine months ago... so I personally don't think this comparison is entirely fair. The therapist did her best and it was ok. The room was small and a little cramped, but you're greeted with a white rose on a heated massage table. She did her best with the space she had. I went in next for a pedicure and acrylic set right after the massage. I LOVED her! Her name is Masiel and she's from Cuba. Not that where she's from matters, but the fact that I was able to have nice conversation says something. She is very thorough and good at what she does... she is a little rough, so be prepared... but I didn't mind. I definitely recommend her if you want a good pedicure and full set! If I could give this salon 6 stars I would!! I can always count on Thu to give a great cut and color - she consistently does top notch work and her staff is wonderful! They are situated in an ideal spot that is roomy, comfortable and full of light. The front of the shop has boutique items for sale along with makeup (Bare Minerals) and face products (Dermalogica). I always pick up a few scented wax melts for my warmers and on several occasions have purchased cards a gifts as well. I've also had waxing done - all high quality work for a very reasonable rate. read more

This place is so cute! Also the drive from my house is probably 10 minutes away with traffic! I've been using the same hairstylist, Victoria, for years and I HIGHLY recommend having her as your stylist if you plan on getting your hair done there. I would travel throughout all of Houston's busiest roads to see her! I've always had fabulous service from her. Victoria is the only person I trust completely to do my hair. Got my hair dyed here for the first time very recently. It turned out great and I am happy with it! Everyone who worked there was super nice and it was an enjoyable experience. My little brother also got his hair cut a lot shorter here after years of having a "bieber" hairstyle. He looks good & it's nice to finally be able to see his face again. I don't like to write bad reviews, but since I only picked this place based on location and good reviews seen, I felt I needed to say something. I have been there twice. The fist time for any all over color, which the owner coached her new employee on color choice. It went fine, just an overall chestnut color. Last week was my second and last time visiting and they talked me into a manicure, pedicure and root touch-up. $200 not including tip, and I was there more than 3 1/2 hours. The manicure had bubbles in the paint, and was not smooth (also skipped over the lotion, etc). The pedicure spa wasn't working properly, the paint was sloppy, and I ended up with an ingrown nail later, since they were poorly trimmed. But what prompted my review is that the owner herself blow-dried and straightened my hair (since her employee was so behind schedule) so I know she saw they patchy color in my hair, but she didn't say a word and let me walk out like this...my hair has light patches and extremely dark patches throughout, and I still had sticky areas where the dye was not washed out! My forehead and ears were covered in dye. I haven't called them regarding this because I don't want them ever touching my hair again! read more

I went last week and had my nails done here with the new shellac polish that they offer. I was not impressed, the girl at the front desk was very sweet along with the rest of the staff. But the manicure was not anything to brag about I am actually not happy with it at all. She encouraged me to get a french look and the lines are crooked the white tips are all different sizes on all my nails, one nail has white smeared on the whole nail, and she cut my cuticle! (one of my biggest pet peeves), one of my nails already chipped and she bragged about how it will last for 3 weeks no chipping. I feel I payed too much for a low quality manicure. I would not suggest this place to get your nails done at. read more

The worst mani/pedi I have ever received! Very disappointing! Polish was old and place did not seem clean. There did not appear to be a certified nail technician. A hair stylist that was not busy at the time did my mani/pedi. It turned out so bad that the receptionist was so embarrassed that she attempted to fix it. Don't waste your money thinking you will be getting an extra special service. My time and money would have been better spent at a walk in place nearby. read more

spa part is OK but hair? Let's say I have cancelled a trip and now would like to postpone work until I can get a wig!

I have been going to this spa for over 2 years and went in yesterday and I was overcharged and received a HORRIBLE pedicure. The girl that gave me the pedicure worked so fast and I am not sure why bc there was no one was waiting.....she barely scrubbed the dead skin from my feet. I asked her if she did it good enough and she said yes. When I got home I jumped in the shower and was shocked to see and feel my feet were not soft at all!!!!!! I had to scrub my own feet to get the "rough spots" off (this happened on Valentine's Day.....who doesn't want soft feet). I felt like I was in one of the nail salons that u go to for a rush medi / pedi job.......where they work for time....not quality. She did everything fast, fast, fast!!!!!! Also - when I was paying for my services - the girl that I have been going to for a long time came up to look at the appointment book.....she said very loud "YAY, MY FAVORITE CLIENT IS COMING IN NEXT.....I BETTER GO TO THE RESTROOM AND GET READY FOR HER". I thought that was rather rude and uncalled for in front of me.....one of her clients (not any more). I called the owner to let her know my experience and how unhappy I was and would like a refund for the crappy pedicure. She told me she would not give me a refund until she saw my feet......on Tuesday (apparently a long-term client has to fit into HER schedule.....). I told her I did not know if I would be available Tuesday.....she said it's their policy to see the person that did not receive quality work and she would not be able to see me until Tuesday.....I again told her I do not know if I would be available on Tuesday. I then told her I would call my credit card company to let them know my experience and I did not receive the services I paid for.....she told me she would fight the dispute charges and make me pay for the pedicure and tip. I was not going to dispute the service I was overcharge (waxing). What a crappy way to treat a long term customer!!!!!! This spa owner is arrogant and does not care about customers......only money!!!!!!!!she told me the people that work there are contract employees.....I told her SHE TRAINS THEM TO REPRESENT HER AND HER SPA!!!!!! I am due a $45.00 refund from this spa and I did inform my credit card company. My advise to everyone is DO NOT use this spa....the owner does not care about the quality of work you receive and will argue with you if you call to let her know how you were treated!! read more

What a wonderful find! My mom, sister, and I called at the last minute and they were able to fit us all in for massages and various nail services. The massages were very well done - during mine I even got lessons on stretching to avoid further back pain. My finger and toe nails were done to perfection while I relaxed in the cushy massage chair. I highly recommend this spa and especially the women that work there. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable, and talented. The environment is elegant, welcoming and the services performed by the stylist's are impressive. Described how I wanted my hair cut cut styled and colored and it was exactly what I asked for the first time around without any mistakes or mishaps like I would get at any other salon. I had my worst waxing experience from here. I'm still trying to get rid of the ingrown hairs I got all over my legs and bikini area. On the other hand, I got my best haircut ever from here. The hair stylist was so knowledgeable and gave me the most incredible scalp massage while shampooing me. A great place for haircuts, but a terrible place for waxing. read more
