One of them even physically shoved our son in front of us. We raised our concerns with the franchise owners, Kinjal Parekh and Tina Patel, and were told we were "too picky." Their response wasn't to investigate or support our child--it was to suggest we leave. The front office staff, Ms. Ada and Ms. Kathryn, offered vague responses and no follow-through. We asked for documentation and staff qualifications and were met with deflection or silence. Other parents have had similar experiences--and some were asked to sign nondisclosure agreements. That should alarm anyone considering this school. We filed a complaint with the state and removed our child immediately. He still talks about the fear he felt in that classroom. This school failed our family. Please think twice before sending your child here.

Back in November, I toured three local daycare facilities in Mount Olive, New Jersey, the town in which I live. The moment I stepped into the Bright Horizons facility, I knew this was a place I could trust with my unborn son at the time. It was evident that cleanliness was a top priority for the center even before the recent pandemic. To be honest, this was how I chose Bright Horizons over the other two centers I looked at in the area. During my tour, they even gave me questions I should ask other centers. I appreciated that, given this was my first time choosing a day care. When the time came to for me to go back to work, of course as a mother and a teacher myself, I was afraid of the unknown; however, thinking back to November I felt a sense of comfort knowing such a high standard was already put in place. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, the Mount Olive facility was delayed in opening due to facility maintenance issues. Director Jen was transparent and supportive during this time to ensure come September, my son would have a safe school to attend. My husband and I made the decision to send our son to the Rockaway facility while we are waiting for the Mount Olive Center to reopen. Jen made sure to personally call me to check in with updates on the center's reopening status, when she could have just easily emailed me. She truly cares for the families. In the 90 days we were enrolled, the concerns raised often felt excessive and out of proportion for a typical four-year-old. During his time there, our son was subjected to bullying and unkind behavior from classmates, which was not adequately addressed. He experienced daily emotional meltdowns, asked to be picked him up early every day, and grew to hate going to school altogether. He expressed feeling that the administration and staff did not like him, which was heartbreaking to hear from a child so young. Communication with us was overwhelmingly negative. Not once did a staff member share something positive about our son, despite him being described by multiple childcare professionals we trust as exhibiting entirely age-appropriate behavior. We received near-daily reports of issues that felt outlandish and unnecessarily alarming. Additionally, very few staff members used positive reinforcement or supportive intonation when speaking to him. Class sizes were extremely large, up to 25 children in his class! Perhaps most troubling was the inconsistency and insensitivity in communication. While staff spoke one way to us in person, they sent urgent-toned emails about our son during two major life events for our family, including one email sent just two days before our wedding, framing matters as emergencies when they were not. Early childhood education should be rooted in patience, compassion, and developmental understanding. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this location.

I take 4 classes (ballet+jazz Monday, tap+hip-hop Wednesday). Though there are some adults (me), classes are dominated by middle and high school students, who can be, well, unprofessional. There are no open classes--you sign up for an entire academic semester. With discounts, I pay about $10/class=$40/week. The teachers vary in rigor and experience, but none of them is terrible. They can't compare to BDC and Steps in New York, but they can give you much more personal attention in this smaller setting. Bottom line: If you're in Newark near the NJPAC and want to stay in good dance shape (and you can't get motivated to trek into NYC every night), suck it up and take class here.

There was no understanding, empathy or genuinity. Just F off. But in a very polished manner. I was almost done with my training at another school. I had already soloed and all I needed was my cross country solo and then the checkride. I was going to go back to the other school which is near my family in California, but I was in NJ and did not seem like a big deal so I asked my instructor and he said try and do the cross country there and come back. Or if they can take you across the finish line, finish it out there. His words, were you don't need much more training. This place told me initially that they can do just what I had asked but after 3 lessons, they told me I would need additional time. After I asked the instructor, he said if I came 3 times a week, it might be one month --- to fly in the pattern at the airport. If it was not my time, effort and money this would be laughable. They also inisted I do my IFR there. Which I declined as I want to get a Cirrus and wished to do my IFR and transition at a Cirrus facility. I asked the instructor I would like to speak with the owner and I wanted a definitive structured plan to get from point A to point B. Not a nebulous come whenever you are free, get in the air, do some turns and then do it again in a few weeks when you have forgotten everything. So Alexy the owner called me. I explained my entire situation and what I was lookking for. Defintiive, structured training to finish my PPL requirements. After explaining everything, he in an extrememly polished with massive sleazy undertones, suggested I go to another school. A Cirrus school since thats what I want to buy. And its easier to fly, right... Since they could not provide what I am looking for and he did not want me to be "milked". I called him out and said, you are a true businessman. I understand translated in business lingo, you are telling me get lost. So this school for part 61, is for milking. The owner has clearly done this kicking people out before, who dare to question their unscrupulous "milking" practices. And he has his farewell speech down to an art. Mona Lisa style. Masterpiece. I was genuinely impressed with his articulate, caring and compassionate fakery. I can not attest to the CFI's here. Because the poor things need their job and will do whatever he says. But yes, the core here is milk. He is the dairy farmer, so he controls the milking. So if you want to get milked come here. Or find a place that can give you a definitive plan with structured learning and most importantly a goal and a realistic expectation of that goal from day one. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you want or need any additional details as I would not wish this on anyone going into aviation, for a career or leisure. An example of milking: During a ground lesson, I used this Sim for 15 minutes at the end of 2 hours of talking with my CFI. Literally one landing. But they charged me the full 2 hours of Sim. I did not say anything or dispute it. I was like they are a sdchool, I am not a young student. Let them have it. This is just one example of their nefarious milking schemes. And I do not take writing this review lightly. I write this with a very heavy heart. I have been to 2 schools before this one. And though they were not perfect, they absoloutely did not warrant having to post such a warning to others as this place necessitated.
