So I was in the area and needed to have a pair of shocks changed on my truck. I swung by City…read moreAutomotive service to see if there was any way they could change out my shocks for me. I knew it was a long shot that someone could squeeze me in that day but I decided to give them a shot after everyone else was all booked up. When I walked in and asked if they could change out my shocks the person behind the counter said he couldn't today, I told him I understood and started to walk out and be about my way. The guy behind the counter then decided to take a shot at me and said "Maybe next time try scheduling an appointment." I know slick talk when I hear it, so I turned around and explained that I was just in the area and needed to see if they could swap them out fast like. I wasn't even done explaining myself before the person behind the desk dodged his eyes from mine and continued to talk over/down to me while I was explaining myself. So I left and laughed it off but every time I'm in that area I can't help but remember the feeling I had when I left. Just felt unwelcome and like a bother. Not a very good first impression at all. I won't be coming back.

We had it towed to Streamline Auto late in the day and Shawn told us he'd check it out first thing in the morning, and he did! I was up visiting in grants pass when all of a sudden, a terrible noise was coming from the front right of my engine bay. Not knowing the exact cause, had my suv towed into Tom's early on a Monday. By Monday afternoon they knew what was wrong, had the part is stock and could get me back on the road by end of the next day. They were even complete early and upon pickup, the tech showed me the broken fan from the radiator fan assembly that was basically wobbling away making quite the ruckus. I am so thankful that Tom's was helpful, knowledgeable and quick. They did come highly recommended by some friends so I'm glad I trusted them. If needed, will definitely take vehicles back to Tom's.

Luckily we were able to keep control enough to coast down the offramp at grants Pass. It was hot and lonely there on the side of the freeway and I was thinking there is no way this trip is going to continue. We started calling for tow trucks and mechanics, but on a Saturday I I had very low expectations and was assuming that I would be spending the weekend and Moore in Grants Pass. After making several unanswered phone calls, I finally had luck when I called Jesse's automotive not only did Robert answer his phone on a Saturday it was minutes before closing! I can tell you from experience that no Mechanic enjoys working on a motorhome and even less so minutes before closing on a Saturday Somehow, Robert was able to get the parts and changed out the serpentine belt! While he was digging through this mess on a hot engine, he noticed that the radiator had developed some cracks and pointed them out to me. I thought for sure I would be spending the weekend in grants Pass waiting for him to open on Monday. I was wrong. That saint of a man started calling around, looking for a radiator before the parts stores closed. Stayed well past dark completing our repairs. I highly recommend Robert and his business to anybody looking for a highly skilled (and compassionate) mechanic. Thank you Robert! You went above and beyond for my family and I. Thank you!
