I have a 1954 Kimball upright, which was purchased from a person who had kept it as an heirloom but never learned how to play (and consequently, didn't tune it for decades). I forgot to pull out cash, and the tuners can't accept Venmo or other credit card payments, but luckily, I was able to pay with a check. At the end of the appointment, the tuner scheduled me for a 6 month follow up reminder through Google Meet. Overall, really satisfied, and the amount I paid was less than I was originally quoted (about midway between the low and high end quote, since he had to do more than one pass of tuning).

My low-upright, Wurlitzer, I had had since 1968. Was a gift to me from my parents when I started taking piano lessons at 8 years old. We have moved from Auburn, to another house in Auburn and then a third and then to the Lake, to Montgomery, to Dothan, to another house in Dothan, back to Montgomery. They not only take such loving care of my piano's they tune them so precisely, replace items, only as needed. Restore them when needed. One can watch Mr. Thomas when he touches the piano's and tune's them. There is such a passion in his precision. Once, only once, has anyone ever touched my piano's. Someone had misunderstood WHO to call and another came out. When I returned home and played the piano, I assumed that Mr. Thomas hadn't come because the piano was still out of tune. Later that day I was informed, via billing, that it was NOT Mr. Thomas! If one loves their piano, needs their piano for work, pleasure, church, etc. Mr. Thomas is the Only one I would recommend to use! He even tunes the piano's at some of the Bigger and Smaller churches around Alabama! Additionally, I have pieces of furniture that are heirlooms and antiques. They can also restore and refurbish these items, handling with as much loving care as they do the piano's. I need my cabinets in my kitchen restored. I am going to have them do these also. After contacting the owner (Margaret) , we scheduled a consultancy. I had already put together a list of things to get done, and we went through the rooms that needed work and were able to put together a rough idea of what would be needed. Later I provided her the final list and within a week we had scheduled a date for the crew to do the work. Marcey, Jamail, and David arrived on time and, after a quick tour of the various areas, they took my list and got to work. Through the whole process they were personable, courteous, industrious, and engaged. Each had time to talk about the various processes and were generally just pleasant to work with. The list was extensive, easily a half-day's worth of work, but they were done in a little over four hours. The final walk-throughs of the various areas left me amazed at the thorough job and attention to detail. My role was to be available for questions, but otherwise I tried to stay out of the way and let them do their work. The questions asked were considerate and completely dependent on my judgement. There were some small adjustments as the work wound to the end, but the team was very adaptable and quickly worked through the adjustments, making sure that I was happy with the final outcome. Simplify with Margaret was easy to work with, their rates are reasonable, and the staff that I met were pleasant, hard working people that have a good head for organization. The day before the crew was to arrive I had discovered another task needed and Margaret and the crew had no problem with the change. The job they have completed provides me a great palette to work from for developing new work flows. Once I have a better idea of what I may need, I'll work up my list and give Simplify with Margaret a call. The company also hires out to help with Christmas decorating. I plan on contacting them to schedule a crew to help me with that this year.

Our roof was original to the house and thus 25 years old. It was time to replace it, and after we…read morerequested bids from three vendors we decided on Renfroe Roofing. Our point man was Shane Renfroe, and through the process he kept in contact with us. Their bid was refreshingly within our budget, and we chose the Rustic Hickory architectural shingles. The crew arrived early in the morning, laying tarps and getting items prepped. Our 7am wakeup was when they started removal of the old roof shingles and felt. Through the day they were active and engaged. The crew worked quickly, and were very professional and polite in our interactions. By 4:30 they were in the final stages of cleanup, and by 5 they were done. There were several passes with various magnetic devices in the final cleanup to try to catch as many of the nails and other metallic debris that had fallen during the activity. After they left I made a cursory round of the house and found only 2 nails. The next day my wife spotted a place in our guest room ceiling where the drywall/finish had cracked a bit. We asked Shane to send someone over to take a look at that and a few places where we had spotted gutter guards that had been pushed out of alignment. They arrived within a couple of days, and they after a thorough inspection of the area and the roof above was able to determine that there were no structural issues nor probable leak issues, and that it was just a thin roof/ceiling structure and some incidental movement with people moving around with bags of shingles. They straightened the gutter guards back in place and ran another set of magnet nail catchers around the house a few times just in case. Through the whole process, Renfroe Roofing provided good communication, timely work, and quality workmanship throughout the process. Beyond a few plastic "tags" blown about by the wind they did an excellent job of cleaning the area, and we are very happy with our new roof.
