We booked the appointment via the website, super easy setup. Atomic is a 2 minute drive from our house so it was super easy. Beware if the parking lot, the think is on a crazy slant, I thought my truck was going to tip over lol. My 14 year told AJ what he wanted but with the years of cutting hair and expertise, he explained you can't have a perm front doucher cut with straight hair. So he could have a low cut fade but his hair needs to flow. We all agreed and he hit it out of the park. He did an excellent job. I even got to shop used surfboards next door and get a Cappuccino at Sur across the street. We just moved to town, so we are excited to have AJ be our local barber. read more

Great spot for tweens/teens! We were looking for someone who understood how to cut our 12 year old son's hair (straight and flat) while still giving him the cut he wanted. And AJ nailed it. It was just a great experience. We will absolutely be back. read more

Been here twice now and definitely can say I found my local spot. Marcus is awesome! Going to start taking my son as well.

Ben is probably the youngest barber I've been to but the best. He's so good I've even offered to fly him out next year to Vegas to cut my hair for my wedding. Thanks Ben for the cuts and anime recommendations. PS: Hamms is fucking good Photo was taken at the pub across the street not the barbershop LOL read more

Atomic Barbershop - Barbers Near Me - San Clemente, California

I decided to try something new after being with the same hairstylist for over ten years, which is no small commitment. I came across Atomic Barbershop and after reading the reviews, the talent, vibe, and consistency people kept mentioning really stood out. I booked an appointment with AJ and went for a tapered fade with more length on top. The moment I walked in, I loved the real retro San Clemente feel of the shop. It has personality, character, and zero cookie cutter barbershop energy. Different from what I was used to, but in the best possible way. AJ absolutely knocked it out of the park. He was relaxed, confident, and genuinely personable. At no point did I feel unsure or second guess the process. You can immediately tell he is a true professional who knows exactly what he is doing. Watching other clients come and go, it was obvious everyone was leaving happy and looking sharp. This is officially my new spot. I walked out feeling like a kid who just got a fresh haircut and immediately started doing the happy dance all the way to the car. Highly recommend Atomic Barbershop and AJ if you are looking for a great cut, a great vibe, and people who clearly take pride in their work. read more

This place is so awesome! The vibe is super chill...good music...old school video games while you're waiting! More importantly the quality of haircut is amazing. You can tell they truly care about their craft, your hair and your experience. While we were there a teen was getting his haircut and the barber AJ was giving him great advice on not only the style but the care of his hair and scalp. Marcus did my 8 year olds hair, BEST haircut he has ever had. He also did his dad's hair cut and cut down and shaped his beard...again awesome cut. He is detailed and ensures it's perfect before you leave. Definitely found our new place, you should definitely check them out. Btw cash only, AND they have an ATM in their shop for convenience too! read more

On time(first cut of day). Took time to ask what I wanted, and then verified what I said and how he would accomplish it.. Barber really appeared to know what he was doing and I was very happy with the haircut & beard trim. Even wacked down my bushy eyebrows. Slightly pricey, but not only is it the OC, but also the SC. Shop basic in a good way, music, stand up video game, good music, & clean. read more

Excellent hair cut. Started right away and enjoyed the chat to boot. Very good value and a cool environment!

Service and quality of haircut was well worth it. The tone of the shop is mellow. I had Ben cutting my hair, transformed me into a person I hadn't seen in five plus years. read more

Very cool skater vibes right by the water. Very busy but still manage to have time for walk ins which is considerate. I love their video game tv thing - very original and I hear the owner built it himself. The barber Marcus is also very talented, friendly and always dresses well. would recommend for a quick haircut before an event or beach day! read more

I'm pretty picky when it comes to barbers so I'm so glad I found him. AJ worked somewhere else and then opened up this as his own place and I had to follow him here. He is always kind and welcoming, And always sticks to the requests you make while ensuring along the way that every thing is going as you want it. He definitely knows what he is doing. Prices are more than reasonable and will definitely be coming here whenever I need a haircut for the foreseeable future. read more

Came in today to trim up a beard with about 1.5 years of unattended growth. What they did best, was listen. AJ did EXACTLY what I asked even though it wasn't exactly what he thought was smartest. That goes a LONG way with me. He took his time, went above and beyond, and did I mention...he listened! LOL GREAT price, great service, great atmosphere...no negatives. Glad I found this joint. Will absolutely return. Jake Schwartzberg read more

This place was amazing! AJ was great, listened to my fiancé and gave him exactly what he wanted. A lot of barbers tend to cut the hair too short or a bad fade. He gave him a gentleman's haircut that blended perfectly with length on the top. This is the haircut he received before our wedding and he took his time to make sure it was perfect. Will definitely be going back for all future haircuts . Also cool vibe inside with an arcade game. read more

Luckily we found Aj through a Los Molinos instagram post. He hooked my boys up with fresh cuts that were really well done. Very cute shop in the heart of SC. Atomic is going to be their go to place for cuts! read more
