The lady was talking about me in Spanish thinking I didn't speak Spanish. The guy clearly didn't know the difference between a taper and a fade and I said no taper I want a fade. He said ok and continued to do a taper. He finished in 10 minutes needless to say how it came out. I called him out on the taper and he said I didn't say that and that he still had the audacity to say " you should've started with that." And I said I did tell you and he smirked and chuckled saying no you didn't. Then the lady comes in saying that why is he redoing my hair that if it were her she would've been like "sorry but you asked for that " and I was about to say well if you would've left it like that I wouldn't have payed, but was scared the guy was going to be petty and ruin my hair more than it he already did. I told him 2 inches off the top and he cut me with the machine on top. Then he proceeded to cut more!! with scissors. I told him that's too short and he said that's what you asked for. And I said u already cut a lot with the machine. And he tried to gaslight me saying "I never touch the top with the machine" I clearly saw him cutting it with the comb and machine!! Needless to say I won't be coming back here. 1. because of the customer service 2. because they ruined my hair and 3. Because the lady got mad I didn't tip!! Like whattt. The barber got annoyed because he made one side a medium reg and one side a high reg and I had the audacity to ask him to fix it. This may have been the result of the barber pausing my haircut to move his vehicle, or while he watched TV. I recent just moved to the San Clemente area about 3 months ago and I've been looking for a good Barber to go to... for the last year I've had terrible luck... trying different places from sports clips to great clips and each time my hair looked terrible... and I'm not to picky with my hair to begin with... but if I think it's bad, then that usually means I need to wear a hat... anyways, I walked right in and Martha made me sit right down and feel like I've been there for years.. The old fashioned men's barbershop! They give regular haircuts with clippers and scissors in a very basic little shop. No amenities, no fancy chairs or massages or nails, just haircuts. Pleasant and friendly. And the price is what a haircut should cost! Even Supercuts can't compete on price and you don't end up with someone who graduated from barber school last week! Three barbers. All good. But you better not be a snob! Lot's of places to rip you off if you are into being too good for the common man. There are working guys in soiled work clothes, Marines, kids and just about everyone else. Take a seat, wait your turn, talk to the other guys, listen to a loud TV or get on your phone. My husband and oldest son who is now 7, have been coming here every 3 weeks since he was 3 years old. My toddler is also now a little customer. That should tell you something. :) It has a great family owned feel, and good prices as well. They are also avid baseball fans here, which makes you feel like you are in a local barbershop in Brooklyn, NY or something LOL. Cesar has been their barber for years and now friend. I've been to Jerry's three times. The first time I had a cut with the lady that was pretty good and the second and third time I had a cut with the older gentleman (Jerry?). I will say that the older gentleman was not consistent with his cut. Between the two visits I came out looking completely different. My third visit was much shorter from the second even though I provided him the same instructions beforehand. He skipped the neck shave with the razor completely, didn't even ask if I wanted it. The next visit he shaved my neck with cold shaving cream, but made so many passes with the razor that my neck came out a bit raw and then sprayed on aftershave (not a pleasant experience). Extremely nice gentleman, shop was clean, and prices are more affordable than up north. I noticed that many people coming to this shop wait for the younger man. I will more than likely give Jerry's another shot, but may opt for the lady or the younger gentleman my next time. read more

Caesar cuts my hair every Sunday. I have been coming here for 2 years now. Great cuts. $16. They raised the price from $14 but thats okay.

Sunday hours needs to be corrected. Yelp said 8AM - 7 PM. We arrived at 6:20pm and the place was closed.

Attempted to go here today... Immediately turned off by the service. One person sitting in a chair with one barber working while the other barbers were sitting in the backroom. After a few minutes, the one working barber walked to the back to let the other barbers know there were customers waiting (2 of us). A female barber sticks her head out of the backroom with a mouth full of food, looks at us, and ducks away again. 15 minutes goes by... We leave. Too many good barber shop options in the area to deal with slow/poor service. It's too bad as I was looking forward to trying this place based on prior reviews. read more
