I visited the Ambitious edge in San Clemente and i had a great experience. The shop is beautiful and well decorated, the barbers are all very friendly and easy to talk to, and the hair cut was great. They don't rush your hair cut and you can tell, by the quality of the haircut, that they really take pride in their work. My hair came out looking great. I would highly recommend them if you are ever in the San Clemente area. Especially if you are getting ready for a special event or even if you just want to look good. read more

I'm surprised this place isn't at least 4.5 out of 5. I reviewed some of the bad reviews and they seem whack. This place is a solid 5. I took my 4 year old son in today to get his first cut. Alex did a wonderful job cutting and styling his hair and I gave him a 50% tip. Alex also is a kid whisperer, so consider him for that first emotional cut for your child. It's refreshing to find a barber in south OC that can cut black hair, and who also understands black hair, maintenance, detangling, and black hair products. Hate leaving bad reviews and I don't mind paying $50+ for the cut like they charge but I showed pictures and described my cut and got some super cuts looking hair cut. Dope spot in South OC which means super chill. Got TVs and music to keep your eyes and ears busy and the barbers are down to earth. I made an appointment for 4pm on a Saturday and was empty, which I appreciated. Slowly walk-ins came around 5, but still not busy. When it gets busy, barbers tend to rush and quality of cuts suffer. Ok...I know that everybody is busy but if I book an appointment for 6.15 and nobody is saying sorry or some other words until 6.45 when I waked up and I went away...this is not what I expected from a place like this... There was a teenager with his phone showing pictures of his fav haircut and the owner and the girl were both concentrated to do their best for him...well, what I think is this is perfect for the young guy but in my case I had to do other staff at 7... My favorite barber is definitely Christian, this man delivers some serious heat with the clippers, the absolute CRISPIEST fades you can get making you look as suave and perfect as you could possibly look!!
