I'm visiting from out of town and I wasn't sure where to go to watch a boxing match. Thank goodness I came across Bar three twenty one! Plenty of seating and lucky for me it was not a busy night. Plenty of TV's including a huge (maybe 75 inch) in the middle. Not a bad seat in the entire bar. They have a full bar, my drunk was just ok, BUT I probably should have stuck with something more basic (I had a Henny sour). Definitely a good spot with a few arcades and a pool table. Check it out!

Not pictured but the shrimp fritters were the best corn fritters i've had in my life. The salads were robust and fresh, food came out at a great pace, our server packed our leftovers as we ate so we'd have as clean a table as possible and continually gave us fresh silverware and side plates and refilled our waters without asking every time he was there. he killed the little steps of service that completely raise the experience. he also was funny and had a sweet personality. The food was fresh and flavors interesting, very little fell short. The desserts (also not pictured) were amazing. Chocolate très leches and bourbon bread pudding. The restaurant is beautiful and sadly overlooked in my opinion. I feel the food can be hit or miss and sometimes the service too, but everything hit this night.

Industrial look and feel, very nice curb appeal but that's where the goodness stops…read more A disappointing dining experience from start to finish. On a day when the restaurant had only two occupied tables, it was difficult to understand why our food took approximately 45 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, the delay became more understandable when we discovered our order had been swapped with the other table's. Mistakes happen, but what followed was far more frustrating than the error itself. When we politely pointed out that our order was incorrect, the staff argued with us and insisted that the dish matched the menu description. In doing so, they made claims about menu items that were simply untrue. Rather than listening to customer feedback or attempting to resolve the issue, the staff became defensive and offered no meaningful effort to correct the mistake or improve the experience. We then asked to speak to the manager and that took another 10-15 minutes for her to simply come and remove our plates from the table. As for the food, it was acceptable at best. Nothing was particularly memorable, and certainly nothing justified the premium pricing. For the quality delivered, the menu feels significantly overpriced. Good restaurants are often judged not by whether mistakes occur, but by how they respond when they do. Between the slow service, incorrect order, dismissive attitude, and mediocre food, this was a thoroughly disappointing experience and not one I would recommend for tourists or locals.

If you'd like to find a place where you can kick back, have a little drink, maybe watch a game,…read morethis place is NOT it, ESPECIALLY if you're a Black person. My first and LAST experience at McFly's left a lot to be desired. There was very little seating available during the NBA finals, which I guess is to be expected, but when I did find seating, a very rude Mexican girl slid onto the seat next to me and attempted to make more rooms for her friends to sit down. When my friend came in, we decided to move to another table to avoid any issues. Shortly after this, a Mexican male came over and purposely blocked our view of the game, and when my friend POLITELY asked if he could move over some, she was told that it was her problem that she couldn't see the television. RUDE, MUCH? Then, another male came over and inserted himself into the discussion. A 'security guard' came over and attempted to 'quiet' things, but he was clearly taking the male's side on this issue. The 'security guard' proceeded to tell me that he was told that the Black female was the aggressor. WOWWW!!! WHY do Black people have to be the aggressors in situations??? These two Mexican males were clearly with the group from earlier, and decided to disrupt the time we were trying to spend watching the game. This is one of the WORST establishments I've ever experienced, EVER. If you're a Black person living in or visiting San Antonio, stay FAR away from McFly's!!! Save your money and find another establishment to go to! One that doesn't make Black people feel unwelcomed!

The menu is really big - breakfast, dinners, sammiches, Benedicts, a whole vegan section…read more..... I started with spicy tots and an Arnold Palmer. For dinner I had carne guisada Benedict. I'd have like the spicy tots to have had some more seasoning, they had like the lightest dusting of the Nashville seasoning but I could have stood to have some more. The chorizo on it was a tiny bit spicy but not much. The tots were nicely crispy though and helps up well to the stuff piled on top of them. The carne guisada Benedict was good, the biscuit underneath was solid (I mean like it was good - not a hard biscuit). Turns out carne guisada is basically Mexican pot roast??? So at the end of the day it was pot roast. It wasn't bad but it's pot roast lol. If I come back I'll get a different meat only because I'm not the biggest pot roast fan. My Arnold Palmer never got empty and my waitress wanted to send me out the door with a to go drink or water or something because it was very hot out and she didn't want me to get dehydrated so that was nice of her. Also she offered me some green salsa or other salsas and sauces and I took her up on the green salsa and it helped with the spicy tots and I put it on the Benedict too.

I am a bit surprised as I have tried biscuit bars in the past and loved them. This was a different…read morestory. I ordered a three Benedict plate where you can choose from several different options instead of settling for one. I opted for a pork belly, a chicken fried steak and a shrimp. My server Kayla at the coffee bar was great. Extremely customer service friendly. You have a choice of sitting inside or outside. I went at around 1:00 PM for a late lunch. Back to the food. I was just surprised overall. The pork belly was dry and really needed the liquid from the egg to make it palatable but it did have a good smoky flavor. The chicken fried steak was the big let down. The steak was just cold. It was like it was just a topping and they add a fresh cooked egg. Overall on that one I would say it's a no go. The one that was "best" of the three, surprisingly, was the shrimp. I don't really associate seafood and biscuits, but it sounded good and it was. Great Cajun style sauce and three good sized shrimp. There was a smear of grits on there that would have benefited from a bigger scoop. The real question though is how were the biscuits? Well, first off, if you can eat three of these massive biscuits you are way heartier than I am. They are large but I found them dense. I wouldn't say they were hot from the oven either. That makes a big difference when hot out of the oven. Not sure it would be a repeat visit for me, but maybe you will have better luck.
