Every session leaves me feeling stronger, more confident, and actually excited to keep going. What I love most is how motivating she is on days when I feel like I can't do it, she's right there encouraging me and helping me push past my limits. She really takes the time to understand your goals and keeps you accountable, which has made a huge difference for me. If you're looking for a trainer who genuinely cares, keeps you motivated, and helps you see real progress, Coach Katie is the one. Highly recommend!

I find this to be unreasonable because this membership is accepted at all UFC gyms. My quuestion to Briana is why doesn't she accept it. I want to use the Recovery room at the UFC Brea gym and Briana doesn't believe that the Championship membershio from another UFC gym includes recovery so without my persmission she calls that UFC gym to verify it. I don't like it when Briana violates my boundaries without respecting me. This action represents the lack of respect at UFC Brea. I commented to Briana that she violated my boundaries by calling the other UFC gym without getting my permission first. Briana said "I'm doing you a favor " I was incredulous by this remark when she banned me from the gym earlier. At this point, I said to her I want you to leave me alone. I want you to go away. I feel that I'm being harrassed, bullied, and she is cruel to me in words and actions. She doesn't understand what professionalism means.

I'm so thankful I found FIT Brea! Over the past several years that I've lived in the area, I've…read morebeen a part of various gyms (both chain and boutique) nearby. Having now experienced FIT Brea, I'm definitely kicking myself for not trying this gym out sooner. I've only done their group fitness classes so far, which range from 8-12ish people in size, and I'm looking forward to trying out the personal training sessions when my schedule opens up! Here are a few ways that make FIT Brea a standout: COACHING: The coaches here are the whole package! 1. They all have stellar credentials, with many of them holding advance degrees and multiple certifications. In short, they know their stuff. 2. At the risk of sounding facetious, I just want to make the point that the FIT Brea coaches actually coach. It might sound like a no-brainer, but it hasn't always been my experience that coaches do much more beyond demo-ing the moves and saying "good job" or "keep going" every few minutes, especially in a group class setting. Here, the coaches constantly move throughout the room to offer individualized pointers on form, differentiated movements depending on individual strength and mobility, alternative movements for injuries, and encouragement and motivation to keep pushing so I can get better and better. 3. They are all super patient, encouraging, and welcoming! PROGRAMMING: The programming for the group classes are thoughtfully and methodically designed. From what I can tell so far, the workouts are structured in mesocycles with a progressive overload pattern. This is important because if we do the same thing over and over, our bodies will adapt and we will not make appreciable gains over time. With progressive overload, our bodies are constantly challenged so that we can keep increasing strength and improving hypertrophy. COMMUNITY: The FIT Brea community is so nice and helpful. I felt welcomed by the coaches and the other patrons from day one. Several people who recognized that I was new introduced themselves and helped me find and set up various equipment. Others even put my plates and dumbbells back during transitions. Just last week, the whole class broke out into spontaneous applause and cheer when I pushed out that last rep of bench press, haha! The mutually encouraging environment really underpins the whole vibe and experience here. It's a special thing. MANAGEMENT: One of the things that I didn't realize would make a difference in my overall gym experience is having direct access to management/owner. In my past gym experiences, the questions/concerns I had would typically have to go up a chain of command before I got a response. Since FIT Brea is owner-operated, the patrons can directly talk to Andrew, the owner, who is so nice and provides exceptional customer service. SPACE/EQUIPMEMENT: It's spacious, well-maintained, clean, and an overall pleasant environment to train in. CLASS OFFERINGS: I'm a busy mom who works full-time hours plus daily commute. I'm thankful that classes are offered as early as 5am and as late as 6:30pm so that I can get my training time in! If you are looking for a gym where you can optimize and maximize your fitness goals (whatever they are), look no further because FIT Brea is it! I'm a serial Yelp sleuther and almost never write reviews, but my experience thus far has so far exceeded my expectations that I felt compelled to share this gem of a place with others!

The community they have created here is great and super welcoming. The workouts are fun and allow you to progress. The coaches are awesome and they have formed a good team of coaches who know what they are doing and really care. The coaches will push you and know your name. They know members who had or have injuries and needed any modifications. I had been going to the gym and fitness classes for years prior to BFT and no one can compare the way these coaches can fine tune your form and improve your lifts. The gym its self is clean, as well as the bathrooms. Towels are provided as well. Music is always fun. The price can be a little costly but worth it in my opinion and not more than many similar establishments. They don't have hidden fees like some other gyms and they are up front with the pricing. The customer service is great. If you are on the fence I'd say try it out!

I was with United Fitness when the business was in La Habra. I was with them for around 2.5 years…read moresince 2016. So I know what it was like before Covid and after Covid. I'll tell you about both. I want to note that I never did the 6-week weight loss program they offer every month to new clients. I just came to do the group workout classes for $60/month. I thought the group classes were very good. Each exercises were 1 minute each and you rotate to do another different exercises. It varies from day to day. Most days, the days program includes some resistance and some cardio. Some equipment used are dumbbells, stationary bikes, stairs, rowing, sliders, punching bags, resistance push/pull boxes, ab roller, slam balls, bosu balls, battle ropes, TRX ropes and more. Everyday are different exercises, which I like. Each round, you have 4-5 exercise stations and 3 rounds, which makes it 50 minute of intense workout. I always sweat! The workout is pretty intense. Since being a member, I felt like I gained muscle and my weights has increased since I started. My muscles are often sore after exercising. I loved how Coaches really push/encourage me to con't exercising. They provide free heart monitoring. Free of charge if you're a member. It gives how much calories you burned during the class and who is in the red, yellow, green, or blue zone. The place has A/C when it's hot or in the summer time. It's so nice since, I'm dripping in sweat every class. They used to provide towels for us, but now they don't, we need to bring our own towels. I like that when we do floor stuff, they have black cushion pads for my knees to rest on preventing my knees from touching the hard floor. Depending on the coaches, each coach has their own genre of music they like to play. The music is super loud depending on where station in the room. It's really loud when you stand near the very left of the room (near the restroom). It hurts my ears! There is water fountain and restrooms for male and female. However, they do not have showers. Also, there are no paper towels to dry your hands after washing. They have specific times when class starts and stops. I recommend to check their website online to know what times classes start. Multiple times I've driven there and find out that they are closed for that day. They don't have any reference on their website or their Facebook page that specific day being closed. The only thing is that you'll drive there and realize it. The don't notify when they don't have classes. It's a waste of gas, but more importantly the time to drive there. Plus, no one answers the phone. I don't know why they have a phone number if hardly anyone one answers it. If you want to call, your best bet is to call after 3pm, that's when there is 1 person in front of the gym checking people in. During Covid, I came back after months of not coming to United Fitness because of being precautious of covid and wanted to stay at home, it was easy to come back. They did not enforce wearing a masks doing into the gym or during the class. The thing I noticed was that some coaches try to social distance esp with stationary bikes, stairs, and row boat being so close to one another. I like that some coaches did that. But, I think that all coaches should put people every other seat so at least we are distanced with each person. I think they should limit how many people come to class too, so we can do social distancing for the rowers, bikes, and stair climbers. When coaches don't say anything, people will be next to each other without masks. I felt that is so dangerous of NOT ENFORCING Social Distancing ...they should maybe do every other person on the bike, rowers, and stairs. During Covid, they did not enforce how many people are in a class. When it was beginning of Covid, they had sign-up sheets to enforce how many people can come to the class. But they got rid of that and just allowed anyone and however many people to come to class. During Covid, some classes, esp the night ones were packed with people. They don't limit how many people come to class. Therefore, not social distancing on at each station. They do ask everyone to wipe/disinfect using spray bottles and paper towels. The spray bottles were community use. However, restrooms still don't have paper towels for people after washing hands. Like: --class exercises --coaches pushes me to keep going --coaches demonstrating the exercises before us starting --easiness of stopping and starting membership --free to use weighing scale with fat % & muscle % Dislike: --not enforcing social distancing, esp with bikes, rowers, and stairs machines being so close to one another --people not wiping their sweat from their stations....so gross and coaches not enforcing the wipe down between stations --not knowing which days are open and which are closed --no one answering their phone calls --super loudness of their speakers that you can't hear the coach
