I'm gonna be honest here. If you want some pretty nice views and a good location, CSU is for you…read more However, if you want a university president who doesn't construct massive stadiums despite overwhelming dissent from students, then this school is not for you. I have heard from good authority that Tony Frank, CSU president, suffers from manic disorder and wholeheartedly believes that the construction of the stadium will awaken ancient Egyptian gods who will fix the many on-campus buildings in desperate need of renovation. "Our future lies with the athletic department," said Tony Frank in an interview. "I'm pretty sure people don't even need scientists and teachers anymore. Are high schools still a thing? Hey, Malinda, get me a taco. I'm freaking hungry." He then threw the microphone to the floor, stood up, and raised his arms in a Kanye-esque gesture of triumph. But yeah. At least the dorm food is okay.

It used to be the Tivoli Brewing Company, a historical landmark. Many of the historic features are even still there, including the copper brewing kettles and a barrel lift that is visible from two levels. Inside was quite nice and bustling with students and life. The staff in the bookstore were very helpful and overall it was a pleasant experience.

The director Dac Cederberg has incredible talent and is on par with other well-known directors such as Harold Prince. Musical director Stacy Miller really killed it and each song was beautiful and very well performed. A lot of the success of the musical can be chalked up to all the talent in the cast, pit orchestra, and techs. Emma Reiger and Abigail Ferguson were perfectly cast for their roles of Katherine Blake and Ellie Blake respectively. Their singing was like something out of American Idol and the acting worthy of an oscar. Ryne Haldeman's choreography was also stunning. From a technical standpoint, you have to give a huge hand to Technical Director Robert Stahly and the other techs. The lighting by Heidi Hansen was beautiful and provocative. The sound designed by Blaze Smith was utterly astounding. The music choices for intermission were inspiring. A few mistakes were made by a tech in sound but were not very noticeable and did not ruin the overall enjoyment. As a final word, I would like to say that the price of $12 an adult for a broadway caliber production is definitely worth it.

I jumped through hoops…read morein order to take a certification class, only to have it postponed a week prior to starting. Upon expressing my frustration, and then my intent to posts reviews about the interaction I had with the CO-OWNER, of all people (maybe that's why he thought he could just treat me like that), these are the emails I received from Bruce: This a response to the owners response: he wants me to feel badly about someone who had a heart attack- someone I don't know- instead of realizing we had a business agreement and feelings don't factor into business. Why the course was postponed is no concern of mine. The fact that I paid for the class MORE THAN A MONTH before it began and I didn't get what I was promised is the problem. Instead, this man continually tries to belittle me and make me look bad (he says I registered for the class less than a week before it began. I've included my email receipt so you can see what a liar he is). He's obsessed with trying to make me feel badly about a health situation his friend/employee is going through, and apparently he wanted me to mention this in my initial email. When I failed to do so and focused solely on our actual business transaction he took it as a lack of empathy and still continues to bring it up in EVERY correspondence (I don't think all 3 emails I posted are showing- he sent 4 so if they do appear I'll add the 4th). It's too bad he had a heart attack, but the fact that they didn't have anyone to step in or take over teaching a certification program for adults, who all have busy lives, is bad business. Period. As for the rest, Bruce's emails speak for themselves. If you want to give your hard earned money to people like this, have at it. There are way too many other programs out there who will treat you with respect and dignity, regardless of the situation. AND who know how to conduct business.
