The Nalanda Campus of the Naropa University in Boulder hosts many wonderful dance and art performances. A clean and quiet building tucked into the corner of Arapaho and 63rd Ave, you don't really notice it until you are looking for it. A new building, with modern and up to date amenities, this facility is a nice place to take in a show. Hosting many dance performances as well as music and other artistic exhibitions, this place fills a multi-use need in a quiet yet effective way.
I have been to this venue several times, for several Butoh dance performances as well as for an art opening of Chinese paintings. I find the usage as a dance venue works better than the art gallery use. The facility has many rooms that it uses for dance shows, but the Art gallery aspect is limited to the hallways. Even though the art is hung in hallway, it is well lit and does work fairly well. I'm just a bit old fashioned about what I like in an Art gallery, is why I rate this less than 5 star. read more
