My mother and I came in for a full eye exam and were seen by Dr Grattan. Dr. Grattan was very nice and helpful and not only was she able to give me my prescription for glasses, but she was also able to educate us both about our eye allergies along with treatment plans. She has been by the far the best optometrist I've ever had. She is very friendly, welcoming and definitely makes me want to keep coming back for my annual appointments. I will definitely recommenced this office and it's doctors to my friends and family. read more

I love that they notify you when it's time to get your eyes checked again. Especially for someone who is constantly busy and doesn't keep track of these things, it comes in handy. I called to make my appointment and wasn't able to be seen by my original doctor, but it worked out because they scheduled me with someone else. When I arrived, I signed in, and was helped within ten minutes. Then Dr. Sato came into the exam room I was in and was the most personable doctor I've ever met. With doctors like her, it makes going to the office so much more amazing. She genuinely cares enough to listen to my concerns. I love this location, their staff always makes me feel cared for and I can appreciate that. Stephanie from optical also stood out. She helped me and was very thorough with her answers to all my questions about frames, and worked with me to understand the best choice for me. Will definitely continue coming to this location! I came to Dr. Kouchouk at Atlantis because jist a couple months ago I had my eyes checked elsewhere (which BTW also had great Yelp reviews) but I wasn't satisfied with the limited information that I received at that other place. Everyone at Atlantis provided excellent service, information and help, including Dr. Kouchouk, who gave a much deeper explanation which wiped away all fears that were raised from that competitor office visit. I went away with a much more clear understanding of my situation and a much better idea of what to expect should something develop later on. My dad had an appointment at 4pm for laser surgery. We checked in at 335pm. The doctor didn't see him until closing time at 5pm. This place books a lot of people at the same time to perform the laser surgery then expects everyone to wait around until the doc finishes everyone one up , one by one. I feel compelled to write this review. I recently had a coronary transplant by Dr. Casey at Atlantic Eye Care in Torrance. The quality of care I received was excellent. Not only was Dr Casey a highly qualified and professional doctor, he also was caring and supportive during my surgery and the treatment that followed. On the follow up visit the next day Dr Casey's team was also efficient, friendly, and caring. The team called in my prescriptions to the pharmacy and went over every medication with me explaining what each medication was for and when and how to take it making me very comfortable with my after care treatment. I highly recommend Dr Casey and his team to anyone in need of a coronary transplant or an eye care specialist. read more

Upon arrival, the waiting room was packed with 1 seat open. Our appointment was for 2pm. We arrived at 1:30. We filled out our new patient papers and waited. At 2:15 I inquired as to how much longer I'd have to wait for a 2 o'clock. The receptionist said she'd check and walked away. She came back and said "you're appointment was at 2 so somebody will be calling you shortly." Finally someone calls us in at 230. The technician was nice and I didn't mind her. Then we had to wait for the doctor. About 15 minutes later, the doctor comes in and she's great. First impressions are everything. I think this place is way too busy for my liking. For a few years I've been suffering from 'Dry Eye', anyone who experience 'Dry Eye' knows the pain and suffering of this horrible condition. Your medicine cabinet is full of every eye drop known to man including the very expensive Restasis which helps with the inflammation that caused by dry eye but it doesn't heal the condition and a good and honest ophthalmologist supposed to tell you that 'there's nothing that can be done to fix it'. They write you the Restasis prescription and off you go thinking this is it, you're fixed. Not at all. For years I suffered from this dry eye and must have paid thousands of dollars by now for the prescriptions but with no relieve until I found Atlantic EyeCare. The LipiFlow treatment (see the video) is very easy and comfortable and it is the only FDA-cleared device for removing gland blockages and restoring gland function. This treatment utilizes a patented algorithm of heat applied to the inner eyelids and massage to remove the obstructions in your meibomian glands. Today was my 6 weeks after the treatment, appointment and I'm thrilled to report that my eyes are in perfect condition. I've had no problems with my eyes. Bianca P, my sons Nurse/ Doctors assistant just gave us life today!! My son has Autism and Cerebral Palsy and as you can imagine, he has has several doctors appointments since birth. He is extremely far aight and can't read, so he has to get many eye exams. Without making this long I just want to say that this was the best eye exam by far. He didn't get frustrated as her would do many times in the past and she knew just what to say and what to do to keep him focused. Well they messed up and somehow lost my payment. No mission impossible jumping over the counter or startling from the ceiling. No they made huge mistake. Luis is a manager. This was my first visit to Atlantis Eyecare and it was a very good experience. I instantly felt welcomed, the front desk staff were very helpful. Thanks to the office manager, Janette, for this great opportunity! Thanks to cousin Johnny, who introduced me to Dr. Kouchouk who is the ophthalmologist. He is very helpful and a great doctor. I was able to learn about the field of ophthalmology and the steps needed to become one. This was truly a valuable experience for my future. I was very unsatisfied with this office. I went in just for testing not to see the Dr. and they insisted I had to pay my copay. I work at a doctors office and there is no charge for just a test. You are only suppose to pay if you see a provider. Then for the results they say its office policy that you come back to see the doctor. That will of course be another office copay. The receptionist asked if I wanted to talk to the office manager and I said "yes". When the girl went to the back to get her, the manager did not come out she sent a message with her staff, which I think is so unprofessional. I feel like they just want money. They double-book patients all the time, there are not enough seats for their patients. Very money hungry!! read more

Stay away. My dad had to get them to complete a form for the DMV. My dad is a senior with medical. They charged 20 dollars and didn't give him a receipt until I asked for one. It is a minor DMV form and the office is already getting paid through medical already, why more money? Service is not great. Doctor seemed to be in a rush and when she was done, she never wrote the eye glass prescription so we had to wait for her to finish other patients before giving us the prescription. What is is about these people that they feel the need to make money on nothing. Don't bother coming here, get someone else. They only had 3 patients And they took 3 hours! Really! Another hour later, it still wasn't there. I called again and they were closed. They lied!!!! If they were honest, I could have gone the next day instead of sitting at a pharmacy for 2 hours. If you have a lot of time to spend waiting, Atlantis Eyecare will be good for you. My appointment was for 9:30 a.m. I didn't see a technician until 10:05. He put drops in my eyes and then I sat in one of the beautiful waiting rooms pictured above until 11:05 when I finally saw the doctor. I think that was way too long for a pretty routine eye appointment. On my previous visit, I also had to wait too long. The environment is wonderful; the staff is nice; the doctor is friendly, competent, and able to communicate, but there is too much waiting around! read more

I was referred to Dr. Kouchouk after being dissatisfied with my prior opthamologist. What a great difference! Dr. Kouchouk has a wonderful manner and explains treatment options very thoroughly. After suffering from terrible dry eye issues for 2 years, his treatment recommendations have solved my problem so it is now only a minor issue. He also recommended cataract surgery which he recently performed. After having very poor vision all of my life, I now have 20/20 vision. I cannot believe what I was missing before when I saw everything through a cloudy, yellow lens. My new eyesight is fabulous! (My prior doctor's ideas for dry eye relief were ineffective and I was advised that I would not benefit from cataract surgery for a couple more years. Wrong.) the staff is really nice here. It is very clean. It is completely packed when you get in the office. My first appointment, I was there for over 3 hours. Most of it was in the waiting room. I only saw opthalmologiist for 1 minute and they did testing. I received a call with my results quickly which I am grateful for. The second visit was not as bad. I called to book another appointment because I did what eye doctor recommended and now the office needs to know why. My eyes need special attention with my condition. Their office never even recommended that I take certain drops for my dry eyes. This concerns me. I am thinking about getting another referral to another opthalmologiist. They need more specialists with the patients they book in a day. I really liked who saw me but they just don't have time. read more

I have dry eye for a couple of years. After seeing many different ophthalmologists and got put on many different eye drops, my eyes still tear up all day long. It's not only deteriorated my quality of life; I also have constant eye infection due to nonstop wiping of tears off my eyes. My condition was misdiagnosed by all previous ophthalmologists. I was told my dry eye was due to old age (I am 53), allergy, one ophthalmologist even told me I have blocked tear duct. I discovered a procedure called Lipiflow which treat MGD ( meibomian gland dysfunction). Reading about that online make me think I might have that condition. Atlantis eye care is one of a handful of facilities that offer this procedure. Lipiflow is very simple, fast and easy. Now I am about 2.5 months after the procedure, my condition is much improved. If you have dry eye due to MGD, I highly recommend Lipiflow. Dr Kouchouk specializes in dry eye. He is bright and has very knowledgeable staff in the office. I am not 100% return to normal. But I am hopeful that with proper follow up care, I can continue to make progress. read more

I was looking for a new ophthalmologist in the Torrance area and was referred to Dr. Kouchouk. When I arrived I was welcomed by a friendly receptionist. I was called within minutes of my scheduled appointment by Johnny(the tech). Johnny walked me through exactly what my full exam would entail. He was very professional and kind. I then met with Dr. Kouchouk who seemed very knowledgeable and forthright about his findings. He recommended options and answered all my questions throughly. Upon leaving, the front desk took very good care of me by making sure I had my appt scheduled, my prescription was filled at the local pharmacy, and that I had copies of my visit upon request.
