**Dined in early Spring**…read more From the moment I stepped onto the patio, I knew I was in for a treat--at least atmospherically. The outdoor seating area is genuinely one of the most refreshing spaces I've encountered in a while, striking a rare balance between urban energy and the calm of a tucked-away garden. String lights, greenery, and the gentle hum of city life in the background create a setting that feels both lively and serene, perfect for a long, unhurried sit. The service matched the setting in quality. Our server was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and quick to anticipate what we needed before we had to ask. Water glasses were refilled promptly, course timing was well-paced, and the overall vibe from the staff was warm and professional. Honestly, the hospitality alone could justify a return visit. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite rise to meet the rest of the experience. Nothing we ordered was bad, but nothing stood out either. Dishes were competently prepared and reasonably flavorful, but they lacked the spark or creativity that would make them memorable. It was the kind of meal where you finish eating and have a hard time recalling specific details the next day--solid, safe, but ultimately forgettable [as evidenced by how late I'm writing this review. I kept looking at the food in my phone--what I ordered and where]. If you're an AF person.....just get NA beer. Everything else tastes like juice. That said, A. Kitchen and Bar is worth a visit, especially if you're prioritizing ambiance and service over a culinary showstopper. The patio alone makes it a great spot for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet evening out. If the kitchen can match the energy of the space and the care of the staff, this could easily become a neighborhood favorite rather than just a pleasant option.

The place was pretty empty, with a few people at tables and a few in the bar/lounge area. They back patio was open with some fire pits, but no one was out there. I like the modern design and how light and open the restaurant is. We got happy hour drinks (4-6:30 PM Tues-Sat, 4-9 Mon) and a couple dishes from the main menu. Drinks are a good value, with cocktails and wine for $10 and beer/cider $6. Cocktails were tasty and well made. To start, we had the Chickpea Panisse ($16), Crispy Oyster Mushrooms ($16), and Tarte Flambee ($18); then the Potato Gnocchi ($26) and Fluke ($36), finishing with the Date Cake ($14). It was a lot of food -- which the bartender warned us about -- so we took about 1/3 for leftovers. The standout dish was the Chickpea Panisse, which I normally would have skipped except it was mentioned in a few positive reviews. It was as delicious as it was colorful. We loved the koginut squash tahina, carrots, beets, and fried chickpea fritters. The fritters were actually the least interesting part of the dish, because the rest was so good! I liked the fried mushrooms -- with a very nice fry -- but I wanted them to have more seasoning. They were too dependent on the sauce. We were split on the Tarte Flambee; I found it rather boring, especially compared to the other apps. The entrees were good but less successful. The gnocchi was pillowy but I wanted a bit more flavor. The fluke had a lot of citrus flavor, which my companion didn't like. The date cake was good, a bit dense, reminded me of sticky toffee pudding. Service was good, nothing remarkable. I would visit again.

With an underground tunnel leading to the convention center, I never had to step outside once to get where I needed to go. The ambience is a bit over the top. The floors, if you look from up top, appear as if they have massive cracks that are deep enough to send you to Beijing. The parking situation is a nightmare if you're driving anything larger than an Infiniti QX80, so you'll have to pay a pretty penny to park in the oversized spaces. The service, while a bit underwhelming, was good enough. The Starbucks here is mediocre. Don't give them your hard-earned gift card money. I'll be back once I buy a small enough car to park in the wedgie-tight garage.

Unfortunately, we were there just to enjoy a long weekend, not realizing we'd be surrounded by a ton of high school kids attending what seemed to be a debate competition. The lobby looked impressive at first, but it was filled with kids almost all the time, which made it far from relaxing. We also found the lobby area to be a poor representation of the hotel overall. The room was not only dated, but it also looked and felt more like a 3-star hotel. The bathroom door was damaged, and the ceiling had been patched in several places. There were no cotton swabs or shower caps provided. The hotel bar looked just as dated as the room, and the service there was laughable. Overall, this was one of the worst Marriott hotels I've stayed at.

The game was on and the seat design faces the tv with rounded seats perfect for a date. The dinner menu was nice for my liking of options; the lamb chops were perfect and while the menu doesn't state clearly it comes with mashed potatoes & veggies which was perfect as I originally thought we had to order a la cart. He enjoyed the salmon meal. I loved that they offered tastes of their crab soup with a side of bread. It was my first time trying such a dish and it was delicious!!! I did find it interesting how every female waitress/hostess was the same shade of light-skin mixed with silky hair while the male hosts/servers/runners were of all looks. Lastly, if you'd like entertaining/worthy bottle service these ladies don't deliver. Lol it was the most pitiful sight to see--I feel bottle service should include high energy, body shaking rah rah enthusiasm. The bathroom was clean and smelled fresh which I appreciated. I'm not sure what was in the back & upstairs but they were loud upstairs for sure. When we left around 10pm there was a line wrapping the corner and they'd started removing tables inside. So, sounds like a cool place. Go, enjoy!

Manisha and Prashsant, owners of Stone Manor Inn, were personally involved in making sure all went smoothly with our cocktail and dinner party, and it most certainly did! SMI is a lovely old country inn on 14 acres, I believe, with a number of different venues (indoors and out) for meetings, parties, and weddings. The rooms (7 in total) were eclectic, in a good way. All four of their largest rooms that we occupied were spacious, with king beds and spa tubs with separate showers. All were well maintained and clean upon check-in. We had no complaints. I'm not sure when we will return to the area, but when we do, we will not hesitate to return!

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!

Before hand, there was an option via the website to check-in early for a fee. I did opt for that and once physically there, the kind staff found us a room for early check-in. I think the line used to be an old church and you'll see remnants of this throughout the hotel. The room was simple and reflected the time period of the building, though the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was modern. The door slams if you let it shut on its own and it's quite loud. The venue for the party was on the opposite side of check-in and there is a large stairway leading to the party. It was a great space. It's super walkable with tons of restaurants, coffee spots, tattoo parlors, nail salons... you name it. It almost feels self contained, which I loved. The only downside to the neighborhood is that on Mondays and early Tuesdays, quite a few places were closed, so options were slightly limited during the start of the week. The hotel itself is beautiful. It's an old church that's been converted into a hotel, and the architecture is stunning. High ceilings, gorgeous common areas, warm lighting, herringbone floors, and lots of character. The decor is clean but still cozy, and I loved the little details including vintage books in the room. It feels thoughtfully designed, not cookie cutter. There's a bar, restaurant, and seating area where people are always milling around working or relaxing, which gives it a really nice energy. Everything was very clean, and the staff was incredibly helpful. At one point I locked my key in my room, and someone personally walked me up and let me back in which I really appreciated. A couple minor inconveniences: * The in house coffee shop/restaurant doesn't open until 7am. We had early meetings and had to leave around 7, so we weren't able to try it. The only early breakfast option nearby was McDonald's around the corner (convenient, but not exactly the vibe we were going for). * Valet parking is the only option and runs $55/day plus tax. * There was an occasional odor in certain areas (hallway near the elevator ramp, sometimes in the elevators, occasionally outside our fifth-floor room). It moved around and wasn't constant, but it was noticeable kind of a sewer like smell. That was honestly the only real complaint. I actually stayed here about 10 years ago, and it felt just like I remembered clean, stylish, and comfortable. Despite the few minor issues, I would absolutely stay here again. Great location. Great aesthetic. Helpful staff.

Dacha is a semi-outdoor beer garden across from Nat's Park and a short walk from Audi Field, making it the perfect storm to collect a massive crowd before a game. We arrived shortly before happy hour ended, about two hours before a Friday night Spirit game and were able to get a table. Dacha did fill up quickly, but with plenty of seating and an open section with standing tables in the center, there was still room to move around. With the glass walls surrounding us, we felt like we were in a garden. The noise level, while high, was not as bad as Solace, and we were still actually able to hear each other. Our server did not check on us as time went by, but she did bring us waters as soon as we were seated, which really exceeds my expectations for a beer garden. Both the flagship lager and IPA were drinks I'd order again, and as a vinho verde admirer, I appreciated having that as an option on the HH menu.
