The amount of times they called to reschedule me should have been my first indicator. First of all, the dentist is very blunt and not personable. For example, I explained to her I clench my jaw and wish to see a TMJ specialist because one of my teeth is impacted so much, it feels like I have a cavity, but there's no cavity. She says she can shave down my tooth. I said there has to be other options that aren't as invasive. All she says is "no" and that she believes my TMJ isn't bad enough but she'll refer me. I had a filling on a root canal they wanted to put a crown on, which I had heard from my prior dentist, so I accepted treatment. I wish I hadn't because the temporary tooth fell out 3 times in the span of 1.5 weeks. The first tooth fell out while I was eating eggs. The second temporary tooth lasted less than 4 hours. Again, it fell out while I was eating eggs. I asked for a different person to put in my temporary tooth, thinking that was the problem. No, someone else was at the dentist because their temp also fell out the day prior. The person that put my temp in put it in backwards and I had to be the one to tell them it was wrong. How could they not know? The third temp tooth fell out just 4 days prior to my permanent tooth being put in. Since I work two jobs, my schedule doesn't allow me to keep going back to get a temporary tooth put in every few days. Permanent tooth comes in... well it doesn't fit. They think it's because my gums grew over my tooth in the 4 days the temp wasn't there. So they cut my gums. Tooth still doesn't fit. They re-order a new tooth and say they'll priority ship it to arrive next week. It's next week- I call for an update. They say the permanent tooth won't be here until 2 weeks from now. So they lied to me and guess what? My temporary tooth fell out while I was eating a banana. I've not flossed around that temp tooth, have not eaten on that side, and have altered my diet over the last month to soft food only. Yet, the temp tooth still managed to fall out. 100% this is a dentist issue, not a patient issue. Please do not waste your time or money at this joke of a business.

The staff is super sweet, they're all very funny and they really do care for their patients. I can't remember their names but the really pretty black lady in the front office with her coworker at the time (i don't remember his name either but he had kind of dark hair) did so good at making me feel welcome and comfortable. they completely turned everything around for me. when i was taken back by this other really nice black lady(she was my favorite for sure, she had the jokes) talked me through everything and she helped me through the rough part when i had to get the bone grafts. I am definitely a child when it comes to dentist work and they totally understood that. I didn't feel nervous, i didn't feel scared, and i actually will be going back for more work when i can. The front office girl and office manager were condescending in their understanding of the bottom barrel level of professionalism the assistants have, by minimizing my experience telling me they know those girls and they doubt it was meant how I interpreted it. As I decided to leave after witnessing ghetto behavior, the assistant comes from the back and loudly say, " she just walking out." Professionalism doesn't matter here-simple! A dental office should be a place where patients feel supported and respected, especially when seeking treatment for an already sensitive condition. This was my first dental cleaning where I didn't walk away with bleeding gums (gross I know, I'm sorry), X-rays taken with out gagging or having that thing that they put into your mouth feel like it's cutting into you and a filling done where there was no pain from the drill. They kept checking to make sure I was feeling ok and wasn't feeling any pain, kept reassuring me that all was going well. Anyway, I've recently changed dental plans which opened me up to other dental practices and found Beach Family Dentistry pretty close from where we live. So far the experience have been really good. They were pretty good at keeping on time with appointments, the staff were really nice and the difference in service is night and day. There were no upsell, they were upfront about services not covered by insurance and I felt that they care about saving you teeth than just recommending services to earn money. If live at the beaches and you're a dentist, check this place out.
