I had a major leak in my roof over my kitchen. The rest of my roof was also in bad shape. Contacted the owner and got a quote. The day they​ came to do the roof it was discovered that all the plywood underlayment on the backside of my house was worthless. It all had to be replaced and the frontside had to have another layer added. Even with this ​setback my roof was finished in one day. Yes they worked until about 8:30 that night until everything was finished. My new roof is so much prettier than the old ugly one and NO LEAKS!! Stay away from Atlantic Coastal Enterprises. The owner and his wife are great salespeople. Unfortunately, they did not deliver. We contracted with them in 2015 to replace our roof, siding, and new windows. The windows were two inches too small and improperly installed. These photos show the 1 inch gap that was left on each side of the windows. They also show that no insulation used allowing air and water to enter the house. They did not replace the Tyvek under the siding which compromised the insulation of the house. To top it all off, literally, the metal roof that they sold to us was not the proper kind of roof for a beach area home. What we were told will last for 30 years will most likely only last for 10 years. I would have sued them as have others before me but there is no way to make them pay the judgement. Beware. Very shoddy work. They also misrepresented themselves as being highly rated by BBB and Angie's List. This is not true. The BBB was trying to get them to stop saying that they are accredited by the BBB. I am sickened by how we were swindled and hope to save others from being taken too. read more

I would be inclined to give this company a 5 star rating but for their customer service. 5 months after replacing our entire roof and facia boards, the roof, which did not leak before, leaks. When we first moved to NC we needed the skylights on our home replaced along with many other jobs we wanted to get bids on. Brian and Sarah came and bid bids on the skylights and a ridge cap on our roof. We hired them for that job and got a bid on our next project- new windows. This was approx. 9 months ago and the skylight job is still not complete and I am paying another contractor to finish the trim on them. Sarah advised that they will complete it when the do the windows however I want the 1st job I already paid for completed first. She has long since stopped responding to me. (Huge push for the windows, they quoted almost $10,000 for windows, I paid less than $5000 for Lowes to install same windows.). Mess was left in my front drive for 2 days with no communication. I was searching for someone to do some vinyl siding for our house. Called a few places locally and never got any response. This seems to be the norm around here if you have a small job. I found Atlantic Coastal Enterprise and read their reviews. They had both positive and negative reviews but that didn't deter us from calling them. You can't please everyone and some folks may have had underlying issues which made them respond negatively. I believe in giving others a chance. I called and Brian was at our door a couple days later. He went through all the details and costs which I thought was very reasonable especially with the inflation rates on the rise. He gave me positive recommendations as to what to pick out. Do you need siding? I highly recommend Atlantic Coastal! We are very pleased with the work that Atlantic Coastal Enterprises did for us. They did a roof for us in October of 2017 and in January of 2019 they did two more roofs for us. The price they charged after the hurricane was comparative to the price they charged prior to the hurricane. They didn't increase their prices because of the storm. They were very reasonable. The roof they did in 2017 suffered zero damage after Florence. They did a great job cleaning up and both roofs look fantastic. Brian was very friendly and accommodating. He's busy but we're busy as well so it was easy working with him because he's so flexible. On 26 March 2016 we entered into a contract with Atlantic Coastal Enterprises specifically to install vinyl siding on the entire house(home size 1250 sq ft), construct new walls on rear enclosed porch and install 5 windows and 1 door, build a front porch, extend the garage by 7 feet, and install stone on the chimney and front of garage. The price was reasonable and both Br*** and Sa*** started off very professional and sounded convincing that this would be a low stress venture. The job began with the rear porch. It got completed in April(took 3 days to complete). The vinyl siding began next on 12 May 2016. That was an ongoing project until the house was completed. On 23 June 2016, construction began on the front porch(took 3 days to complete). Next was the garage extension which began on 28 June 2016(took 2 days from the time they poured the concrete to completion). I could keep going on the detailed account of each phase of completion. The point that I wish to make clear is this. The individual subcontractors that Atlantic Coastal Enterprises hired were excellent. Atlantic Coastal Enterprise themselves was substandard. The most detailed portion of the job which was the porch, garage, and chimney(keep in mind, this also was the last items to be completed and all done by subcontrators)took only 38 days to complete. The entire job finally was completed on 16 August 2016(4 1/2 months to complete). The excuses that I received for this job taking so long was rain, we changed our minds too much when choosing the colors, and finally, that most of the material was special order. Let's analyze this for a moment. The vinyl came in pretty quick so choice of color wasn't an issue there. Oh. The corners. That must be it. Not!!! We changed our minds on this only after Br*** realized that he received the wrong size. Furthermore, I checked on everything. The vinyl and the stone was the only special order and the stone only became a special order after receiving stone that wasn't even close to what we had looked at originally. Even then, the stone that WE went and personally picked out at the stone store only took seven days to be delivered. Communication was usually an issue. The majority of the time when I would call or text either Br*** or Sa*** for questions or complaints they would either take a few days to respond or not respond at all. There was also an incident where one of their employees was drinking on the job and Br*** didn't seem very concerned. I was constantly having to remind their employees to clean up the trash at the end of the day. Overall, we had a very poor and unprofessional experience with Atlantic Coastal Enterprises. We would not recommend this company to hire for anyone. read more

Atlantic Coastal Enterprises put a new roof on my house in September of 2012. Since then I have had nothing but problems. I've tried to contact them to resolve some of my issues, they fail to return my calls, ignore the messages I've left them, and choose not to return emails I have sent. Their customer service is horrible, their workmanship shoddy at best, and their word on their warranty might as well be null and void. Do not use these people as roofers. You will get horrible results, a messy lawn and driveway covered in nails that won't be cleaned up, and nails in your tires. read more

Around Oct 2014 I had several contractors come out to my house to give me bids on work to be done at my house. I meet Sarah and Brian from Atlantic Coastal Enterprises on Oct 29 and they gave me a bid of $16,000. I decided to hire them and on Nov 12 I paid them a deposit of $8,000. Somewhere around March 2015 they did put a new roof on my house. May 1 I received a text from Sarah that they will be starting on getting everything else done in the next couple of weeks. Come Aug nothing else had been done so I sent a text on Aug 17 when the rest was going to be finished. Sarah texted back Aug 19 in about 2 weeks that I was next. Come Dec 1 nothing else had been done so I texted Sarah that it's been over a year and only the roof had been done and ask her to call me. She texted back Dec 3 that she will let me know when they will be out to do some of the work. I text back it's been a year and I wanted to hire someone else that could do the work in a reasonable time. She said they will be out in the middle of next week and nobody showed. Asked for half of my deposit back with no answer. I've called and texted asking them to call me so we can settle this and they never called. I've been waiting over a year for them to do the work. I know a new roof on a double wide does not cost $8000. Will have to take them to small claims court to try to get some of my money back and hire someone who will do what they say. read more

Move on if you are looking for a new roof. My wife and I hired Bryan to replace our roof, our house is located on Emerald Isle. We asked to be contacted when the construction begins we could be onsite. The first call we got after providing a down payment was to inform us that he had completed the job. At first we thought the roof looked good but after closer examination we discovered that it was not finished. Three months after the job was completed there was a rain storm and when we arrived a few days later we discovered a leak. We called Bryan and he sent over a worker to fix the roof. The worker informed my wife he had patched the roof but they would need to come back with tape to finish the job, and he needed to order the tape. Upon inspection of the roof, we discovered that Atlantic Coastal had also failed to install all of the screws required to hold down the metal trim. Overall the job was sloppy and not professional looking. After numerous calls to Bryan and the office with no response, we decided to repair the leak ourselves. Bryan never called us back. read more
