I guess if you bought a boat [which I did] bought a motor [for my older boat], which I did, and had my boat at their marina - and had them fully serviced, I'd be a full client, which I am. Also, Will, the excellent salesperson sold two boats, and a motor, with fine outcomes.. EVERY transaction went as expected, perfect.The owner John knows everything about what's going on at his company, and that's great. The service is excellent and speedy. Id give zero stars if i could. The sales guys there are about as cocky as it gets. There service department is shady as can be. They asked me how much business i do with them to determine when they could get my boat fixed. I have repowered twice with atlantic boats and had all my service done there. If you are looking to get your boat serviced look else where. My boat sat in their lot while other boats continuously got worked on that were not ahead of mine. if you don't spend a million dollars there and repower every year they could give two shits about you. I would rather drive to the next state then bring my boat in there ever again. read more

Disgustingly Rude. The main "sales guy" is an absolute jerk. I went in to purchase a small watercraft trailer and an outboard engine. The salesman couldn't be bothered with such a little purchase; he was condescending, arrogant and made it clear that such a small purchase is a waste of his precious time. My husband made an offer on a boat , the contract was very unprofessional. We re-wrote it and sent it back with a 10% deposit. Before leaving, my husband asked them to do an inspection on the trailer so that it could be towed back. My husband flew the 3,000 miles with a driver to help him bring it back to California. The trailer wasn't in shape to move 3 miles, let alone 3,000 miles. His (the dealer') solution was to sell us another trailer. My husband hired a surveyor-before leaving on this trip- to meet him at the boat. After the survey was completed, we were ready for the sea trial and the owner stated we'd have to wait until after lunch, and refused to let our surveyor on the boat for the sea trial. All in all the dealer spent a total of 15 minutes with my husband. My husband said please return the deposit, we do not want the boat. There was an issue about if our check had cleared-it had cleared a week earlier. Today, months later, we received an invoice-our first invoice- from Atlantic Boats, Inc. The invoice shows an amount at 60 days past due with interest attached. We have no idea what the invoice is for and will be writing them back for an explanation. We spent a lot of money (trip for 2 by air and 3 nights stay, rental car, lodging, food, air fare back). Our opinion is : the company was unprofessional understaffed Very much misrepresented the boat and trailer. Ignored my husband. Buyer beware. This place ripped me off. Bought my first boat from them (used) and they took advantage of me. They never disclosed the problems the motor had, gave me compression tests showing everything ran well, and when i tried to get a water test and outside opinion, they gave me the run-around and claimed all these additional charges. Also claimed it had never been in saltwater which i came to find out was a lie. Cost me thousands and a few summers until the problem was fully diagnosed and fixed. Yes, buyer beware and my fault for trusting them, but they took advantage of me and were blatantly dishonest. Best to save yourself the troubles and avoid this dealer at all costs. I won't go back to Atlantic Boats. I paid Atlantic Boats to shrink wrap and store my boat for the winter. On Thursday, July 12 I called and asked if I could pick the boat up on Friday or Saturday. I was told that that it would be an additional $120.00 to remove the shrink wrap. Really? I've been wrapping/storing boats for many years and I've never been charged to remove the shrink wrap in the spring. If it's mentioned in the agreement I couldn't find it. The women on the phone explained that free removal is only for service customers. When I arrived to pick up the boat on Saturday I checked in with the service desk. The woman at the desk explained that since I hadn't picked up the boat by May 31 she was going to charge me for "Summer Storage", so she billed me $448.00 ! Suddenly the $120.00 to have them unwrap it is looking really good. The invoice date for summer storage was 07/14, the day that I picked the boat up. I'd consider this a very bad experience with Atlantic boats, and I won't be going back. read more

Purchased a brand new boat and the sales rep was good. Service of the other hand was terrible. The boat was brought in for the new motors twenty hour service and antifouling paint to be applied to the bottom of the boat. I was not given a phone call to approve of additional cost to service from the initial estimate. They will just surprise you with the additional costs. When inspecting the service done, there was a mess of paint on the transom and the motor. Just what I want to look at on my brand new boat. There was dust everywhere from the sanding they did. All over the deck, console, motor. Completely unprofessional. Please do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere. You will be much happier. read more

You should read this. I am not in the habit of writing reviews. I bought a 2004 C-Dory 22' cruiser in the fall of 2014. I had it surveyed and some things needed attention. I took it to two boatyards on Cape Cod in 2014-2015: Engines serviced and winterized. June: put boat in water. Had to bring the kicker and dingy motors back (carburetor fail/gas leaks), and the main engine mid-July (non-ethanol related rough/no start). Waited five weeks for repairs. Had about three weeks boating in 2015. Change boatyards. Spent thousands on a rehab/upgrade wish-list spring 2016. New gizmos, bottom paint re-coat, new batteries, etc. Upshot: through-hull wiring stupidly engineered and ugly, wiring under helm rat's nest. June: put boat in water. Can't start engine/batteries won't hold charge. See head-scratching mechanic ('I dunno'). Had to have re-survey. "Somebody" severed the hot wire from the new bilge pump mid-way to the automatic/manual switch, used non-marine crimp to reconnect it, and left it on the floor behind a gas tank. So corroded joint = draw-down. NEW #28 batteries now only recharge 20%. Replace batterie $$$$. Surveyor finds moisture under new coat of bottom paint. Go another boatyard. Old paint removed and repainted, color that kinda matches trim. Scratched hull putting boat on trailer. Now July: Put in water. Engine hard start and wheezy performance. Wife in boat wondering about spending "all this money". Consider suicide. I called around for a new engine. Found Atlantic Boats 1.5 hours away. Buy new Honda engine. Have good buying experience. Best price and accommodating attitude. Use boat. No problems. Meanwhile, I suspect surge-brake actuator on trailer not engaging. Have local trailer place's "famous free comprehensive 32 point inspection" before haul-out. Tell them to fix whatever needs it . . . I go to Atlantic Boats for winterizing. I like what I see and hear - i.e., Impressed with professional businesslike atmosphere. Give them a upgrade laundry list. Wot the hell: The works. They tell me entire trailer braking system shot. I now plan suicide and compose note. THIS IS WHERE THINGS CHANGE: Briefly put, I had the best possible experience having work done on my boat there. The mechanic (Nick) was careful to understand what I wanted, with excellent communication whenever something needed to be done to make sure we were on the same page. What I found especially helpful were his suggestions for things I needed or might want to have. He is insightful with the mind of an electrical/mechanical engineer. It was like having a consultant. He collaborated with me to the point it felt like we were working on OUR boat. Nick and the other people working with him are highly personable and professional as things ought to be. The staff (Katherine and Meagan) are friendly, efficient, and reliable with good follow-through. I say without any reservations that Atlantic Boats is one place you can put your trust in. I am extremely disappointed in the service I received at Atlantic. After I purchased my boat, I immediately was discarded with any additional customer service that was needed. Once they received my money for the purchase, my needs were no longer a priority. I recently decided to sell my boat and it was in need of some upkeep prior to selling. I put my faith in Atlantic hoping they would provide care and servicing as I will be in search of purchasing a new boat. Unfortunately, it will not be with Atlantic. Why? First, I was given an estimate for servicing the boat. When the work was completed, it was double the cost of the estimate. I was highly upset that one they were so off the mark with their estimate. Second, the turnaround time to service my boat (very minimal work was required), was to the point of obnoxious. I attempted to have my boat serviced in early August and it was not completed until mid-September. Third, my boat was in impeccable shape upon arriving at Atlantic. When I went to pick it up, there were scratches on the hull that I am fully confident were not there prior to drop off. They denied any accountability and again, dismissed me once they received my payment for service. The extended time and noted damage on the boat almost caused the loss of my selling the boat. I advise anyone who is having their boats serviced or stored with Atlantic, to take pictures for record beforehand. I am an avid boater. I will be purchasing a new boat....but I can assure you, it will NOT be through Atlantic Boats. read more

I bought a used Boat, Motor, and Trailer package from The Main Salesman, what a JERK he is. He gave me the run around and told me to come to pick up the boat at 9:30 AM, I was there until 3:00 PM because he could not get out of his own way. It gets better, the trailer he put the Boat and Motor on was a complete wreck and a Danger to me, my family, and anybody on the highway near me. The first time a launched the boat the trailer completely fell apart, he did not even say sorry when I called him to let him know what happened. I called the Owner of Atlantic boats and ended up getting a Brand New Trailer at his cost, he told me that salesman should have never sold that trailer to me as it was supposed to be scrapped. -- BUYERS BEWARE, I will NEVER GO BACK TO THIS BOAT YARD, PERIOD. read more
