After many positive experiences over the years , the last few times I have been there - staff is stressed out, mistakes were made, patients rushed like a numbers without looking at entirety of symptoms and had to follow up as they even forgot to take my IV out . SImple tests to screen for obvious issues were forgotten and my other doctors later were even surprised to hear of this sloppy care. The one kind and professional nurse who did interact with me there, told me she was leaving the job that day, and everyone was burned out . This is how serious errors happen and you lose patients - mediocre care and feeling like a number when their profits are fine and they don't even take " charity " patients so why not hire more staff and make sure physicians are qualified and thorough? One one note - this was specifically the urgent care side and nowhere else . The Xray dept and staff always excellent. Get your act together Atlantic Care. This is not okay. read more

The receptionist that works the front desk at the Clark urgent care was discriminatory and belittling when she discovered I had state insurance. They falsely advertise on their website that they accept this insurance. She was rude, condescending and couldn't be less kind. People are there because they're sick and looking for medical attention. Not to be discriminated against and treated poorly because of the type of insurance they have. read more

I turned to Atlantic Urgent Care for help on September 23, I had chest pain and high blood pressure. I am very grateful to the staff who were on duty that day. Everyone was extremely attentive and provided me with quick assistance, showed professionalism and humanity. Special thanks to Tina Powell, who took care of all my questions and surrounded me with care. It's nice that there is such a noble and sincere person. Tina also called me a couple of days later to inquire about my health and needs and asked me to call if I needed any help. Came here at 7:10 AM on a nice sunny weekday when they open for my routine blood test (lipid panel, red/white, TSH etc) for my next Cardiologist appointment. I always go to the office in Springfield where it is in and out and efficient within 15 minutes (but I live closer to here). Not the case here. There were 2 people waiting, one patient inside and only ONE person doing the work, ie sign in, computer look up and drawing of blood. After waiting nearly 40 minutes I left and went over to Springfield where I was in and out in under 15 minutes. Hey CLARK office: Either get another one or two employees at your lab in Clark NJ or just open at 8 or 9 when you have more than one person on duty. She looked so frazzled and nervous after I observed her I left. Didn't want her to stick me!!....She may be very competent but I felt quite uneasy here. read more

My doctor was away on vacation and had to go to urgent care today. Front desk was not very friendly. I waited to be called and both front desk women just looked at me after I said good morning then turned to each other and started talking without an acknowledgment then once they stopped their bs-ing the blond woman called me. I thought it was rude not to acknowledge me or at least state "one moment, I'll be with you in a moment" From beginning to end took about two hours. I would not go back if I could help it. read more

My husband goes in with a stomach issue. He thought maybe it was his appendix but he did want a medical opinion. He goes in and they turn him away because he has "Covid symptoms". He then explains he is vaccinated & had Covid within the last 90 days and tested himself at home before he walked in the urgent care and was negative. After calling a few Urgent Care offices in the area searching for a reasonable price since I have no insurance this location was not very expensive compared to other locations. I waited no less than 10 minutes after walking in, saw the nurse, doctor, and was out within 25-30 minutes tops. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, very nice nurse and doctor. Had no issues and would absolutely recommend to anyone sick seeking urgent care! read more

When I went there several years ago on a Sunday afternoon for an "emergency" that needed minor cutting & stitching, I was taken almost immediately, treated nicely and the Dr. was quite competent. Best of all, I was in & out in about 1 hour. I returned to have the stitches removed 10 days later & again, it was a very quick visit ~ this time I think I waited 10 minutes in the waiting room. The provider was nice but was in and out very quick without any discussion or recommendations for my elevated blood pressure or anything else. During the visit the PA and NP were expressing amongst themselves how they had many people, and were having to do double the work. The PA seemed to be pretty stressed/annoyed/upset and came into my room slamming things. On a follow up call for my bloodwork, The nurse read the notes from my visit to me over the phone about what the provider supposedly discussed with me, however those clinical notes are inaccurate as there was no such discussion. I wasn't sure what the results of my physical/check up were so I asked and the nurse told me everything was ok. When I asked about my elevated blood pressure and explained that my blood pressure has been high lately the nurse explained that there were no further recommendations. I was highly suspicious that this was not appropriate advice and went to get a second opinion from a cardiologist without a referral. Throughout my visit the PA walked in and out of my room with gloves on touching multiple surfaces (computer, door handles, vials, etc). Not once did he change his gloves (he left my door open and I could see him walking around the clinic with those gloves). I was pretty nervous that he would be drawing my blood with those same gloves. He actually dropped vials on the floor and did not bother to gather more or change his gloves. I did not feel that this is proper infection control protocol, especially during a pandemic. I was highly unsatisfied with my visit and cannot return as I did not feel cared for or safe. I am also a medical provider so it saddens me that this kind of care is the standard in this clinic. read more

Deception and poor customer service. First there was a call made to see if they accept our insurance did X-Rays and read them on site, they said yes. After filling out insurance info asking specifically for an X-Ray and waiting two hours to see the Dr. was then told that our benefits did not cover a foot X-Ray total waist of time and money (copay). Dr. could not apply a splint and caused more pain by trying to do so. Do not utilize this facility they are inexperienced, have poor customer service and terrible communication. They were well aware of the fact that we were there for an X-Ray and waited until they received our copay and saw a Dr. before they told us of the additional fee. Received call today, day after original problem owners had agreed to do x-ray at no additional cost. read more

I have used this facility twice and received excellent quality and compassionate care! The X-ray technician was so good with my 9 year old!

I took my Mother-in-Law here for some tests and they were phenomenal. The best care, and customer service! Initially we went to another urgent care and they were rude, unhelpful and wasted our time. Charlene at Clark Urgent Care, welcomed us in with a full waiting room and even called my MIL's primary care physician in NC for additional information they needed. The rest of the staff was great as well and got us in and out in a reasonable amount of time. We should have came here first! read more

Silly me doesn't have a general practitioner. So when I got a painful boil on my leg I ended up going here out of desperation. I showed up right when they opened on a Saturday morning but there was already a line of people waiting. I ended up waiting nearly an hour to see the doctor. However, once I did see him he took his time with me, answering questions and providing me with treatment. The treatment wasn't fun but it did the trick. This place is a joke. Got the flu over the weekend and needed to be seen to ensure it was actually the flu. My wife used to live in Cranford so she recommended this place instead of heading to the hospital. I waited about 30 minutes and then I was seen by a woman. I'll keep her name private. Apparently she is not a doctor but a nurse of some sort. The woman was completely unprofessional and rude. She asked me what was wrong and I explained my symptoms. She then asked me what I would like for her to prescribe me...I wish I knew. I wouldn't have come to see a doctor if I could just heal myself. Terrible place, stay away. I should note the receptionist that helped me was awesome. Good guy and we appreciate what he did for us. By the way, I complained about the care I received and was sent to another urgent care in Menlo. That was just as big of a waste of time as the first appointment. They bring me into a room and apologize for the nonsense I just went through. I thought I was going to get re-evaluated. Nope, just had a manager come in and ask me to tell him the story of what happened. Complete waste of time. read more

I was very impressed by how quickly I was seen, how thorough the Dr was and how he actually LISTENED to me when I was explaining the reason for my visit.. I believe I was in and out in under 45 min.. My only gripe was my insurance didn't cover one of the prescriptions, but was willing to cover it if the Dr called the pharmacy and that just didn't happen... I have been using "MultiCare" - "UrgentCare" - Clark location for over 20 years. Always helpful, and always kind staff. You do have to wait a bit, but where can you go without an appt and be seen for anything you are having an issue with. Would recommend to my friends and family. read more

I have been going to Clark's First Health for years. The nurse practitioner, Paula, is awesome and I actually prefer to see her instead of the doctors because of her great personality and she is very knowledgeable. I have never had a bad experience. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I will say the only downfall is the wait, but customer service and how well the treatment they give you is the most important to me. read more

I had an 11am appt with Dr. Abend, was in the office with him on time and he began the exam and talking to me then he took a phone call with me in the office talking about a check he didn't get yet. That went on for about 7 minutes. He hung up, no apology and asked me a few more questions, and left the office. Next I see him across the hall from me in an office talking on the phone (again) about hiring a medical assistant for $14 an hour....another 5 minutes or more. He popped back in to tell me something about needing an MRI, then disappeared again from office. I heard him down the hall talking to someone about a "splint" and nerve damage. Dumbass me thought he MAY have been talking about me to a colleague but it wound up being another patient. Meanwhile, I'm still sitting there like an asshole waiting....nothing. Now I HEAR nothing. 30 minutes have gone by at this point. I freed myself from that dehumanizing table they make you sit on to walk around the office worrying about having to get to MY patients at work now after being told the appointment would be an hour by the scheduling person. I looked in the hallway and saw no one any where after now 35 minutes and left. TERRIBLE way to treat any patient, especially a new one! And this Dr. Abend is the DIRECTOR of RWJ in Rahway's physical therapy and pain management program! STAY AWAY! Doctors should NEVER multitask on a patient's time. DO NOT GO HERE! ONE STAR ONLY because I was brought in to appointment on time. That's IT! read more

I have been to Multi Care many times over the past 15 years, mostly for physicals for my kids or a quick visit for a sore throat or minor injury. The wait time is always very long, sometimes an hour + between the waiting room and once your actually in the examine room. The care there has been good, especially when we were seen by Dr. Goldstein, but on a recent visit there to have my daughter looked at for what appeared to be a concussion, I was not so happy with the care. She was seen by Dr. Levine who asked her if she had lost consciousness. When she replied "NO", we were told that she did not have a concussion. His only concussion test was to look in her eyes with a light. The two trainers at my daughters school did more and they are not even physicians. She was told she could go back to school as soon as she did not have a headache and had no restrictions for sports (she was still in soccer season). After the symptoms did not go away for 2 days, I took her to a pediatrician who did diagnose her with a concussion. She missed 3 and a half days of school and did not return to soccer for almost 10 days. I am worried what might have happened if she had not still had symptoms, returned to play soccer and had been hit in the head again. If I return to the Multi Care it will only be if we can be seen by Dr. Goldstein. read more

This is not a place that I would recommend for Urgent Care. I was second in line to enter the building and forty minutes later was called to enter an exam room. I never received a phone call with the results of my XRAY. I called to follow up and NEVER received a return phone call. He was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate and wouldn't let me even finished a sentence regarding my symptoms before he interrupted me and proceed to tell me I might have one of twenty different things. Sometimes you have no choice. You know you just need medicine, you can't get a quick appointment at your doctor, and it doesn't warrant an emergency room visit. But, stay away from this place! You will wait about an hour, even if there's no one there. The doctor won't even make eye contact with you. In fact, my "doctor's visit" lasted approximately 60 seconds, enough time for me to tell him what I thought was wrong, for him to look at me, and write a prescription. Of course, I was charged for a comprehensive examination. I did get what I needed, but I can tell you that their #1 priority is making as much money per patient as possible, while doing as little work as possible. How do I know this? Sitting in the waiting room for an hour, I tuned in to the conversations between the receptionists -- co-pays, credit cards and collections -- not a word about anyone's health. read more

I went for a walk- in for my ankle/foot and that has been hurting for the last 24 hours. I don't really participate in many sports so I really didn't know the cause. When I walked in , the receptionist could have been a little bit more friendly, but it was whatever. I sat there for 2 hours waiting to be called in to be examined ( the place was not that crowded). Once I got in the room the nurse was extremely kind, but the doctor is what killed the whole experience. He took my ankle pain as if it was a whole joke. I tried telling him that it is hard to walk on my foot (I came into the urgent care limping) and he grins at me! Then, the doctor mentions that maybe I have tendonitis. So he sends me home with a wrap on my foot and told me to take 3 advils or ibuprofen . Seriously? Not to mention as he wraps my foot he has to be a comedic and ask "OH! is it better now? Im sure we wont be seeing you here again. " Yeah you sure won't be. read more

Came to tis website to see if if I could find out if they take x-rays there. Instead I found some terrible reviews. I don't get it. I've been to this place a few times for myself. Yes i waited about 45 minutes, but at my primary care physician I usually wait over an hour. I was ALWAYS seen by a doctor, and received a thorough examination. Always given indepth information as to what the problem was, given medication/prescription and asked if there were any other concerns. I don't think I could have asked for more. My friend from out of town cut his hand severely, and I brought him there. Stitched up good as new within an hour. I've never had a bad experience. read more

Went last night for a scratched cornea. Zero words spoken from staff except why are you here, then sign this. Then as I waited I had the pleasure of watching them all eat and discuss patients that just left. Remember these people are getting paid. Then brought back into a room by a girl who never introduced herself and did an assessment on me that was embarrassing my professional standards. I'm a nurse also, by the way. 31 years. Waited for a doctor who again never introduced herself, who made an attempt to treat my eye. Took me to the eye wash station and told me to do it myself. Then back to the room and brought in another md and made the attempt again. I suggested a new towel since the first was soaked due to they're repeated attempts at flushing my eye. She said, that's a good idea. She actually said that. At this point I left, not a word was said to me upon leaving. Went to a local ER. Was assessed and treated in 30 mins. Professionally also. I will never return and will make sure I tell others not to go there. This is a facility that provides health care. You allow eating at the main desk while patients sit there and wait? A serious restructuring is in order. Or maybe start from scratch. No pun intended. Lets see if they have the unmitigated gall to send me a bill. Thank you. read more
