I've shopped around other studios by walking in and would quickly decide if I would get a piercing there or not. I went to what's been circulating on my social media but no where felt as warm and welcoming as V&V! As soon as I walked in, Bertha greeted with a smile and hello, she was with another customer but still took a few seconds to acknowledge me and speak to me. When it was my turn, Bertha was such an amazing and friendly where picking out my jewelry felt like just shopping with a friend. And to Nic (my piercer)? Phenomenal. We took our time to make sure I was happy with the placements and having casual conversations over just books and family. I am SO happy with my piercings, but overall with finding a studio with absolutely amazing people who care about the service they provide. Both Bertha and Nic were beyond professional and made a walk-in appointment feel as if I was catching up with long-time friends. I highlllyyyyy recommend V&V, and can't wait to come back for my next set of piercings thank yall so, so much!

They were extremely diligent in their adherence to sterilization protocols and examination of my initial piercings. Because of Randy's careful examination of my ears, only one ear needed a full re-pierce and the other ear just needed a slight stretch in the piercing. It was much less painful this time around than it was 20 years ago (w/a piercing gun at Claire's!). I had such a great experience here I would definitely return and get additional piercings! My ears healed well (different experience than the first time) and I'm excited to wear earring again!

Brought my sister here to get her nose pierced today and I DEFINITELY will be back!!…read more ***LOCATION*** Sooo like the other reviews said, the location isn't specifically inviting from the outside. There is only a small driveway and a busy highways so the parking situation isn't great. Since we were the only ones there it was no issue though, we pulled in and parked. When we were leaving, someone had pulled in behind us, but then they reversed onto the highway and let us out. Their passenger had gotten out and helped check if we could back out too. Sooo even with the limited parking, everyone is nice and it's not an issue! The outside doesn't look great. My sister didn't want to stay when we got there but after reading all of the Yelp reviews, we knew it would still be a good place and we were right! ***EXPERIENCE*** You go in and the inside is nice enough. It's not super decorated but tbh looks the same as most other places I have been for piercings. I usually go to tattoo shops and they don't look any different so for me the inside was fine. You could see their certifications on the wall and the guy working was very nice! He explained that he used medical grade stainless steel. He showed her the jewelry options. Basic is 1 piercing for 20$ but she wanted a nicer nose ring so she upgraded to 30$. The price was still insanely good!! Most other places charge 80$+ for the same thing. Here you can get 2 piercings for 30$ and on Tuesdays they do half off!! I was shocked at the price and the quality. The staff was friendly and professional. I wasn't allowed back there to see the actual piercing but she said everything was clean and sterilized. Just from what I saw inside and from speaking with the owner I think it was, I could tell it was a great place! Just don't judge the place based on the outside! Haha ***PRICE*** The price is what really makes this place great!! Sure you're not in a luxury well decorated spa or anything but you're just there for a piercing. As long as it's sterile and the guy is friendly and licensed, who cares lol. The prices are so cheap and he is so fast it takes like 5 min! I was thinking about getting a piercing as well but didn't feel like it today but I will definitely be back one day soon and probably will take advantage of the 2 for 30$ deal! Great customer service, quality and price!! Just bring cash because it's cash only. There is an atm sur place though!

Anywho I originally frequented the Columbia, SC location but have since moved to Atlanta and figured the same professionalism and quality would be here as well and I was right. Don't remember his name I'm horrible with names but never forget a face. Older black man with locs deep warm voice like a dad lol. But he was great. I got a double nose piercing; two on my right nostril and he made the process fast and held conversation to take my mind off him basically stabbing me in the nose twice lol. I love the placement of them being side to side and he used this measuring tool to check his spacing. I was in and out of there in under 20 mins with paperwork, getting my license copied, paying, picking jewelry, piercing, and the aftercare talk. Clean studio, smells of incense not smoke like a previous review I saw stated. I came in on a Tuesday they do half off select piercings. Picked out two little studs 2 for $40 but if you want the basic traditional studs it's 2 for $20. All in all I'm highly satisfied with how I was serviced and I'll be back when I heal up to possibly change to a hoop. Or get a new piercing. Parking isn't the best. It's just a driveway bc this used to be a house. They could definitely use better parking as the main road is hella busy I had to turn my hazard lights on as I moved my car to let someone out who was there before me.

Everything from their list of 800 appointment rules to their demeanor just screams hostile and I don't understand why they even own this business at all. Even if you follow their rules to a T- make an appointment, show up on time, sit on their little bench outside, text them that you've arrived, wait for permission to come inside the completely empty shop, fill out a form with 45 insane checkboxes basically trying to encourage you to cancel the appointment- they'll still treat you like dirt. The piercer was quick, gentle, and precise -- the placement was perfect, and I've had no issues since. During that first visit, I also fell in love with their jewelry selection. I had been on the hunt for unique, exotic nose rings, and Kolo definitely delivered. Yes, their pieces are a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and variety are absolutely worth it -- 10/10 every time. The receptionist is one of my favorite parts of the experience. She has amazing energy, always gives thoughtful suggestions, and shares her personal experiences in a way that makes you feel heard and cared for. The bald guy that works there is also really cool -- calm, professional, and always pleasant on the phone. What I love most about Kolo is that they truly know their craft. They take anatomy seriously and won't pierce you unless it's the right placement for your body. That type of honesty and expertise is rare. I recently made the mistake of stepping out for a $10 belly ring special somewhere else... and it went south fast. I came back to Kolo, and they saved the day. This place is forever my home for piercings and jewelry. Can't recommend them enough -- true professionals who care about what they do.
