Hello, Peter's #1 fan here. What. a. show. I was invited to the Atlanta Magic Theater along with some of my amazing buddies at Discover Atlanta after chatting about how I just had to see this amazing magician. I'm a fun girl, I love nothing more than a great show/performance and although I haven't been to many magic shows, I knew that it was right up my alley. Know that the Atlanta Magic Theater is located inside of Embassy Suites, so be on the lookout for the hotel. When I arrived, it seemed that only valet may have been available there which was totally fine for me, but something to know if you'd prefer finding parking elsewhere. The valet guys were kind and quick, and had me on my way to the show within moments of stepping out of my car. The hotel lobby itself is huge, full of room for travelers and magic lovers alike. I was walked over to the location where the Atlanta Magic Theater is housed and saw the buzz beginning. A handsome, sharply-dressed gentleman with a great smile was standing in the lobby area chatting up some guests and I figured, "that must be him." And minutes later he turned his attention to me and began asking more about myself. After chatting about his background in San Francisco and the Yelp connections, he started up a card trick that although seemingly simple, had me pumped and ready for the rest of the magic lol. It was a great little teaser! Once the show was about to begin, Peter came out and gathered myself and the other attendees and guided us into the theater. What a theater!! Being a thespian myself, I truly appreciated this Black Box theater and even more so when Peter explained to us that he had the full set brought in and created his lighting and sound effects/timing himself. Talk about a one-man show! That is NOT easy and takes skill, patience and precision, amazing. Onto the show. I can't even wrap up my thoughts fully on the show because I'd love to go over each illusion and why I loved it, but that's not happening lol. But what a show! Peter truly left us all gasping, laughing and so wrapped up in what was coming next. I loved how he wove in personal stories from his life, telling us more about why the particular illusion was special to him, etc. When he brought guests on stage, he truly connected with them and with us all at once. Just a few tricks were ones we may have seen before (but never in Peter-style!!) but the majority of them were ones that I feel like I had never seen, making them even more exciting. Hearing from Peter about who he inspired him to master an illusion and how long it can take to master them made me even more appreciative of each new exciting moment. This is truly a show that shouldn't be missed and I hope that more folks catch up soon because Peter is truly offering up a 5-star experience!

It was a wonderful night with a very talented magician. Peter pulled us into the show in the lobby with some walking tricks that were quite incredible! The actual show was top notch and simply magical - a mix of classic tricks and some illusion. Especially, loved the audience participation elements of the show. Entertainment for the whole family -you won't be disappointed with a night at AMT

Talk about a fun filled show! I can't believe I've been in ATL this long and had never been. THANK YOU Peter!

Mr. Peter Morrison is a next level entertainer that uses magic as his medium to bring joy to everyone who sets foot in his theater. Sleight of hand magic as a warm-up to the main show was persona, warm, and delightful. The main show was an experience that all ages could enjoy. Mr. Morrison is a master showman that provides an intimate magical encounter for his audience. I highly recommend going to his show. You will get more than you expect and be surprised you paid so little to create a memory that will truly last a lifetime.

Date Night With The Wife And This Magician!

Was trying to figure out something to do for date night with the wife instead of the usual dinner and a movie. I found the Atlanta Magic theater on Yelp and was intrigued on how it could have a 5 star rating. I'll be honest, I didn't have high expectations for the magic show and my wife was surprised I suggested it for date night. Well I can now confirm that I agree that Peter deserves 5 stars. He was very personable, charismatic and talented in his craft of magic. He remembered peoples names from the audience, had a genuine curiosity for the people's story and background that would be tied into his show. I'm still scratching my head on the magic tricks that he did and we had an awesome date night that will be remembered forever. Thanks for an amazing evening Peter! PS. Eat Before You Come Here Or At Ruth Chris. Come Early As Parking Can Be Tricky If Valet Is Full.

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT! My mouth was in awe the whole time. The show was Such an entertaining, comedic, stunning experience. I decided to do something different on my birthday this year and I said why not try a magic show! I loved every second of it. We stopped at ruth Chris (right across the hall) for food and drinks before the show, and then made our way to the theater. Can't wait to go back!

They had both floor tickets where it was standing room and then seating that looked kind of like colosseum or stadium seating. Although they had this seating, the place still felt intimate and really added to the ambiance of the concert. I also loved the layout of the lobby area where there were different entry points and a good space for the vendors to sell tour merch and several areas where they had mirrors that gave great photo ops or an area to check your outfit. As someone who has acted before, I can say the issues we experienced were more on the production company than the venue itself. The main problem? Smoke. So much smoke. It was hard to breathe, my eyes were watering, and I'm a pretty tough guy--but my fiancée was really suffering. When I called to request a refund, I learned it wasn't just us. If you're going to use a fog machine, you need to disclose it ahead of time, especially for children, people with respiratory issues, or anyone sensitive to it. On top of that, there was a child crying during the performance. Instead of quietly and discreetly taking them outside, staff tried to address it in the middle of the show, which was distracting for everyone. That said, I do want to thank the venue for working with us to get a refund. The space itself is nice, and I'm open to returning for other productions in the future. Just a heads-up--the seating is very intimate, so be prepared to be close to your neighbors.

My friend and I came to see Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and it was amazing! I believe they stopped by Atlanta last year, and I'm glad that they returned. ECHO seemed more back to basics -- less gimmicks. The big change was that wee sat on the second row. The performers were literally near enough to touch. Wow. The show is great. The acts: jugglers, acrobats, gymnasts, slack line artists, clowns, catapult jumpers, trapeze artists, you name it -- are absolutely wonderful. A sense of wonderment comes over you as if you are a child again. The sound system is terrific and the live musicians and vocalists are impressive. The seats are a bit tight but perfectly fine for the duration of the show. Food is of course expensive as are all of the momentos for purchase. But you're at the most fabulous circus you've ever seen. My only complaint -- and it's out of the control of Cirque -- is exiting the Atlantic Station parking garage. Very slow. We arrived around 2:30 and was there until 9:00 pm for the taping of 2 shows. Not even a cracker was provided to eat! Cheap, ghetto and classless is what I call it! There is not even a vending machine. I never saw on any correspondence that taping would be that long and nothing to snack on available. Tyler Perry, Steve Harvey and Family Feud bring in toooo much money for not even a small pack of peanut butter crackers, a granola bar or even a 25 cent bag of chips to be served!!! I was totally disgusted and turned off by this because although it was a free taping----you wouldn't be able to do it without a live audience!! A little bit of appreciation for 7-8 hours of your time would have been nice. The staff seemed mean, over worked and underpaid. No smiles other than the production manager who had a curly natural fro ponytail. There was a heavyset black guy with a black winter beanie cap on that told my daughter the Smart Pop popcorn was for people who were there all day.! Well wtf do you call 2-9pm. Then to make matters worst, the staff and family members of the contestants are hot lunches in our faces. It was so classless! Steve Harvey and the hype man were so cool though and really provide for lots of laughs. Steve even left us on a spiritual note. He is definitely a natural comedian and speaker. Now that was a 5 star experience! Just Steve, hypeman, music, and the show itself 5 stars! The production company and the professionalism and hospitality of this place is a 3 and that's being nice. Overall, moving forward I would not recommend spending your precious off day setting around starving all day to see the show. I came here with my best friends to celebrate my birthday, my friend's birthday, my other friends newly published devotional and my other friend's promotion at work. This was probably my 4th time here. Parking is behind the building and they have a ton of spots with gravel parking and paved (directions might lead you to the front). The lobby has two rooms, with comfy seating, restrooms, bar (beer and wine), ticket area and a place to take group photos. Things have changed on seating here due to Covid but for the better. You can now buy a table for two, table for 4 and VIP seating. Cost ranges from $70-$90, but comes out to about $20-$45/person. Any table purchase you make comes with all the tickets. Most shows are about an hour and a half long, with one intermission for you to use the bathroom or grab drinks. A majority of the improv depends on participation from the audience, so be ready to give direction on what the skit will be like. One of the best portions of the show was when my friend Keni got asked about her Hot Air Balloon she did recently, and the Improv Actors did a "fortunately, unfortunately" sketch on it. One of the funniest things I've seen. It's always a great time when you go, and you're going to get something fairly new and unexpected every time. Some actors are much more entertaining too, as they can create comedy out of thin air. They also hold Improv classes for adults and work with children too (the host mentioned something Nickelodeon themed). Highly recommend!
