The first person they sent was an older gentleman who was unprofessional and unable to handle the job. The second time, they sent a man and his niece, who took three days to complete the work and caused significant property damage. The niece, who was not qualified, struggled to hold the mirror and almost dropped it on my husband while he and my mom stepped in to help. Instead of assisting, she just stood there watching. They worked sloppily, dropped tools on my engineered wood floors, and generally lacked the skill to do the job properly. When I disputed the charge with Fixttman, they threatened to come after me for the money, even though I needed to hire drywallers and painters to repair the damage they caused. One subcontractor even threatened to enter my home with three men, forcing me to call the police. On top of that, a Fixttman agent also threatened me. This company operates fraudulently, hires unprofessional workers, and offshores their customer service calls to agents who falsely represent the company as legitimate. In reality, it's just someone in Texas hiring unqualified workers and overcharging customers. They also tack on hidden fees, despite their workers being unprofessional and unskilled. I own/live in a condo in Atlantic Station and actually met Scott in 2005, years before he became the Condo Doctor. He used to work for the developer who built the condos in Atlantic Station and he met with me around the time I bought my condo and moved in. He helped remove some shoe molding in my kitchen so my new fridge would fit. It wasn't until almost 14 years later I would run into him again; this time, as The Condo MD. I have (or had) a leak in my master bedroom and Scott was contacted by our condominium's property manager to take a look. Scott is one of the primary handymen that our property manager and homeowner association uses. Since he worked for the company that built our condos and he helped with walkthroughs and whatnot, he is very familiar with our building as well as other residential buildings in Atlantic Station and Midtown. Scott believes he found the source of the leak (door threshold on balcony of top floor unit) and sealed it. If the leak is indeed fixed (I think it is, *knock on wood*), I plan on using Scott to repair the water damage the leak caused to my bedroom (ceiling, sheet rock, paint, etc.). In the meantime, the toilet handle in my master bathroom broke. The parts were original (circa 2004-05) so this wasn't a big surprise. The handle had been sticking in recent months/years. I took a picture of the old hardware and texted it to Scott. He replied that he could fix my toilet and he was able to get to it in less than 48 hours. That was a lot quicker than I expected. Since Scott is familiar with our building, he knew what kind of toilet I had and what kind of parts it needed. I originally got a quote from Scott to repair just the one toilet ($115). However, I thought I might get him to replace the hardware in another toilet since its hardware was the same vintage. For two toilets, he quoted me $150 which I thought was reasonable. I could save some money by getting him to do both of them in one trip. Scott showed up on time with the parts and tools required. He was in and out of my home in less than 45 minutes. He did the work quickly and competently. My toilets flush great now and in the case of the broken one, it works like new again. Scott is a nice guy, knowledgeable, experienced, and responsive. My fiancee even commented on how friendly he was. He's definitely a valuable resource to Midtown condo owners and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
