We love the food and beer at The Burg Bar & Grill west of downtown St. Pete FL!…read more We have previously enjoyed their well-made Chicago Dogs and craft beer. This time (Apr 2026) we started with a creamily delicious ice-cold nitro beer. It was Milk Bone stout, locally crafted, toffee-flavored and lightly sweet from lactose. Pinellas Ale Works says it's almost a cafe con leche :-). It looks like they serve a larger pour of nitro-Guinness, if you like. Y'know, small nitro bubbles (around 25% to 30% CO2) create a smooth mouth-feel and, to me, seem much easier to imbibe than most beers' carbonation (100% CO2). Many places don't put in the extra equipment to serve nitro beers, so Thank You to The Burg! Their eat-in special is different every weekday. On this Wednesday (Apr 2026), it was $2 off their Cuban. Thin tender flavorful ham, pork, and salami, lightly bite-y Swiss cheese, and bright tart pickles, with plain yellow mustard & mayo. All pressed into hot bread. Perfectly savory and delicious! Except ... It wasnt Cuban bread, or any crusty bread, it was a hoagie roll :-( The bread wasnt even toasted! Hey! Mostly-excellent Burg, This is Tampa Bay, home of Cuban sandwiches! Do it right! Dunno if it was just an off-day bread-wise? My nearly-perfect Burg, please tweak this one thing. Yet they still earned that 5th star with their freshly hand-made very good lightly-seasoned crispy crispy Burg chips. We live for crunch! And you can upgrade the side to black-beans and rice, so, yeah, on target :-) And they let us go slightly off-menu with a BLT, which on the menu is part of a soup and sandwich combo. Lots of hot thin crispy bacon, sweet fresh tomatoes and lettuce, on lightly toasted bread. Very satisfying. The Burg Bar & Grill is pleasantly relaxed with a nicer-than-divey feel. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick with that cold cold beer! The food is only a Cuban-roll away from Perfect :-)

The gyro, tzatziki and feta really are a game changer on a burger. The tater tots and sweet potato fries are in my top 5 best I've ever had - perfectly crispy and perfectly seasoned. West Central Ave in St. Pete is quickly becoming our new favorite hangout! We just found bright fun…read moreNeon Lunchbox! While every item in the menu starts with some good old-time classic, they dont resist creative delicious updates to the recipes. We fell into their muffaletta, and if you've had one at Central Market in New Orleans, you'll recognize the lovely fresh traditional round sesame-encrusted bun stuffed with stacked italian-style coldcuts and cheese. I'm going to say flavorful salami, rich mortadella, sweet tender ham, and creamy provolone. The key, as with that N'awlins original, is bright flavorful house-made chopped green-olive tapenade, a heavenly mixture with garlic and soft sweet peppers, wet with a copious amount of the freshest olive oil. A muffuletta is so much more than the ingredients-list. And this is wonderful handful and mouthful and stomach-full. It was lunch, on the way to a busy day, so we exercised rare self-control to share a hand-crafted Mr. Big: a Dr.Pepper-like cocktail, nicely sweet next to that sandwich. Of course, they have a slew of creative specialty cocktails. It's our only criticism, that the drinks they list are almost all sweet flavors. The one we had was a perfect complement to our savory sandwich, but much of the time we prefer a bitters-forward whisky or bourbon. I have no doubt they will make any we request, but i'd love to see their own recipe inventions! We want to try more of their food creations: a chopped-cold-cut italian sandwich, a fried bologna with two kinds of smoky cheeses, bacon-topped thin-dough pierogis, a spicy mac-and-cheese, ... We'll be back!

I only got water to drink but they do have good drink specials and happy hour. Restaurant is clean and bright with lots of unique decor. To eat I got the chicken Caesar wrap. It was very tasty! Lettuce was fresh and crisp, there was a good amount of chicken which was also of good quality. And the size of the wrap is huge, definitely enough for 2 meals or to split with someone. Even the chips on the side were good. Overall very happy with my lunch!

**** Review 170 ****…read more This place has become a regular for me and it's all because of the wings. They are THE BEST wings in St. Pete hands down! Crispy, juicy, tender, saucy deliciousness. If you just want some of the best wings you've ever had then you need to stop by. But, wings is just one of the items that are great. Their burgers are second to none! So many options, with so many toppings. Burgers are HUGE, juicy, well seasoned. Everything from tenders to peanut butter on a burger....you have to try it! Hot dogs are good too, they're fried so you get a nice crisp snap with every bite. Their sides are always delicious and great beer selection. And everything is reasonably priced for being in St Pete. This place is narrow, but long with seating in the back for larger parties, so it can get crowded. Staff is always really nice and ready to give you recommendations. If you're looking for a great night of wings, burgers and beers with your friends then this is your place.

St. Pete is full of great places to eat and Wild Child is near the top of that list for me…read more The location itself has a nice cozy indoor seating section but with limited seating I'm glad we had a reservation. There is outdoor seating as well however. The drinks were all great and I wish I could remember what they were, but the bartender did a great job and they were all delicious with generous pours. I do remember we tried the Bad Bunny and the Paloma, but I ended up switching to regular margaritas which were well done. I docked 1 star for food simply because the menu is pretty small, but I loved the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich and my dinner date liked their salad. I'd definitely come back again and just hope that maybe the menu rotates or gets updated regularly.

These guys are seasoned pro's and based off the style of how we ordered, it showed. The food was unreal, a wide variety of dishes all delivering to the top mark. Handhelds, fork and knife and even some spoons were involved for this meal. I loved it. I sat outside and it felt great. Tons of fans, a good vibe, I felt like I was on a lil vacation. It felt like I should have been eating what I was, where I was. Such a good experience. Such good food and even better company. Come on down, don't be a fool. This place kicks.
