Huge, beautiful showroom with a great selection of carpets from all over the world and at great price points. The staff is really helpful and knowledgeable about the different weaves, textures and knots that go into each of the unique carpets. We had our wool carpet cleaned here and it came out perfect and so soft and silky smooth and the color was brighter. They also trimmed the side threads of the carpet and combed it out really nice. Depending on your carpet size and how dirty it is they can give you a quote free of charge. They have a side entry door for drop offs and pick ups which is convienent. This place is full of miracle workers! They have made my white shag carpet pristine 3 times! They edged a vintage carpet remnant and turned it into a hallway runner for me. I was very pleased with the in-home carpet cleaning and an woven rug sent out to Atiyeh's cleaning plant. The contacts by phone and in person were friendly and courteous. When the salesman came to do an estimate for wall to wall carpets he was very knowledgeable. He discussed options, things that would and wouldn't work, the cleaning process and costs. Once we agreed to go ahead with the cleaning service he called and got us an appointment right away! Also, he took our area rug with him. The gentleman who came to our home to do the cleaning knew what he was doing. He was efficient, attentive and checked in with us frequently. After a major flood in my home I had them pickup and clean several of my Karastan carpets. The carpets were beautiful and I have no problem with the cleaning. The problem is the pad. It sheds constantly and with each vacuuming or dusting I need to clean bits of the pad that is sloughing off!! I wish I'd called them sooner and asked to change the pads. I had this company clean a rug my old dog had unfortunately been peeing on for some time. The stink was considerable. They removed the fringe and revived the rug. Colors are vibrant and no smell. Just wanted to thank Atiyeh in Portland for taking extra time & energy to make me a happy customer. I took an 8'x11' Belgian area rug in for cleaning and when I got it back to my house it had a very strong odor to it that wasn't there before. The rug looked great! Cleaner than I've ever seen it. I thought the odor would dissipate but it stuck around and I knew I couldn't live with it in my living room that way. Atiyeh thought the odor I smelled may have been their cleaning solution/shampoo so they gladly came & picked it up, ran it through a rinse cycle not once but twice (they called and said they wanted to do it once more because they could still detect the odor) and delivered back in excellent condition. The 15% discount is amazing, but you'll probably need it if you have a rug you haven't clean for a year; because it may need to go through the ringer two times, making the cost more. I really don't write reviews often but I felt called to for this place. Tim, the service manager?, went above and beyond. I had a super difficult rug to clean - kind of a unique knobby wool deal with 10 years of pet hair wrapped around to bottom of each knob. When we moved we decided to get it professionally cleaned and these guys gave it their standard treatment and delivered it back. It was still dirty and although I was doubtful that this rug was actually cleanable I called. They picked it back up. On the day it was scheduled for delivery back to us, Tim called me and said he had pulled it off the line because it was still not cleaned and had someone working on it for two hours with a special method. I don't know what has happened to Atiyeh Bros. I have been using them for 25 years. First in Eugene and then when I moved to Portland. About 3 months ago I had a tragic loss of one of my dogs and the called Atiyehs to pick up the carpets. I have scheduled 3 deliveries and never have they called me with a delivery window or called me at all. So I schedule it again and the call was suppose to come yesterday for the delivery window. Once again; NO CALLS. Yesterday, I had it and left 3 ugly messages on their phone. Even though they opened at 7:30, NO ONE called me back. So I called this morning, one person hung up on me while supposedly transferring me to his manager and the second one was a boy who kept telling me "to watch my tone". I'm an elderly woman and not use to some boy in customer service telling me that. So I yelled a couple not nice compliments and hung up on him. My carpets arrived this morning. They were cleaned adequately, but they had added on "odor mitigation". For one 7' X 9' and one 6' X 4', the bill was a $540 odd dollars. That's a lot to be told to "watch my tone". I thought something must be wrong because never have had an experience like this with Atiyeh's. And, I never will again, because the rug I had to use while these were being cleaned, will be going to Renaissance. read more

Atiyeh Bros' cleans and repairs any type of area rug. If the size is manageable, you get a discount for dropping it off and picking it up, but if it's too large to manage, just arrange for them to pick it up - I've heard they will even help move the furniture off the rug, then put the furniture back when they deliver your clean rug. I prefer dropping it off for the opportunity to talk with someone who is interested and knowledgeable about my rug's origin, and see the facility! Considering what they do to thoroughly clean and care for your rug, I believe they are very reasonably priced and wouldn't go anywhere else. We dropped off a rug here for cleaning. It took a bit longer than expected to get it back, but they were upfront with us about that possibility. The rug looked great after they finished. They were able to get some parts of the rug cleaner than others, probably due to the age and soil level, but overall I was happy with the cleaning job. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the cleaning of a very expensive piece of furniture...not only was the cleaning very poor -I had to encounter a hassle about a $2.00 credit that they did not want to honor for an online coupon. The excuse...it was a silk fabric. This is information that should be rendered prior to cleaning. I would have preferred to find another source who had experience with a fine fabric.Spots were not removed and there are areas that look "bleached/lighted/overworked. Also they made no apologies or response to re-work-talked to some method used to clean rugs and of course the "great " online discount I learned a great lesson here ......They should stick with cleaning rugs! read more

we got a great deal on an antique persian rug through eBay but needed a rug pad to keep from wiping out--these big fuzzy feet look cute but are like rollerblades on ice when on hardwood floors! much cheaper prices than online stores or {shudder} Pottery Barn. just bring in the rug and they'll custom size the pad to fit and it only took 15 min. also got some history lessons on my specific rug just cuz they love rugs so much. fyi: they also do upholstery cleaning--hopefully the humans won't find that special spot on the sofa that i can't stop nuzzling. read more

They really know what they are doing. Our rugs hadn't been cleaned in 8 years, except by carpet cleaners in place. Matt came both to pick them up and to deliver and re-place them. He's great! He knows about pads, and was friendly, polite and careful with our things. The 3 rugs look amazing. The new pads are very nice. They disposed of the old deteriorating pad. I didn't expect to see so much difference, since the rugs have been cleaned in place and we don't have animals or that much traffic. They suggested doing it again in two years. Sign me up!
