Will never use not for small projects or our full-house re-carpet.
    Kris B.

I don't know how this company is getting high reviews. I wish I could give zero stars. We hired them to carpet one room with the intention of hiring them to eventually carpet our entire home. Rich Jolly said he would match the color of the old carpet as close as possible. We paid $800.00 for a small room and the color was absolutely not "closely matched". Our old carpet is a dark tanish-brown, the carpet they "matched as close as possible" is a very very light cream color. Night and day. We've had two contractors come to our home for estimates. One was shocked and the other laughed. My family has owned a contracting business in another state for 50 years. I sent them pictures and they stated: "it looks like they used left over carpet from another job." We called Rich Jolly to fix the problem or refund the $800.00. We never heard back from him or a company representative. We took our crawl-space cover to Lowes and they match it. The are coming to do a couple rooms until we decide move in. We would rather pay more at Lowes and get the job done right. See pictures.

We visited the store several times with lots of questions, and he answered every one of them patiently and pleasantly. We picked out our carpet and tile and arranged installation. Ron made a measuring error on the carpet order, but as soon as he caught it, he owned it and fixed it right away. The carpet installers were quick, efficient, and polite. The tile work turned out beautiful, genuinely great craftsmanship. What really stood out, though, was this: when we got the estimate for the carpet installed, we couldn't afford it. We told Ron we'd come back and pick something cheaper. He said, "No, don't bother, I'll talk to my supervisor and get you a discount so you can have the carpet you actually like." And he did. Overall, a great experience from start to finish, and we love the results.

We decided to pay a little bit more to have the two rooms done on different days, so that we would have space to move furniture one room at a time, avoiding having to haul anything up and down stairs. During the decision making process, we quickly got our terminology worked out, so we could be sure both parties knew which room was which for estimates and for scheduling. Paulson's preparation recommendations were very helpful - we knew ahead of time to clear any and all artwork on walls between the front door and the rooms being carpeted. We are very happy with the results. Just FYI, the parking lot does not have an entrance from SE Grand, and Salmon is one way, so circle the block to park.

The ADU floor was so uneven, he had to pour special cement to make it level, and then work around old brick and various pillars and 4 doorways. Not so easy. Brennen made it look great! And he was a joy to work with. I could not be happier and I recommend Brennen as the "A" team installer.

I was walking through the warehouse to get familiar with what you carry. When a man with the demeanor of a used car salesman asked if I needed help, I politely said I was still looking around and trying to wrap my head around everything. Less than five minutes later, while I was still in the building, I overheard him speaking disparagingly about me, suggesting I was somehow trying to gather pricing information as if I were a competitor on some sort of covert operation to obtain classified intel on your scrap carpet collection. Im a designer. A contractor and a homeowner and was simply taking time to evaluate products and learn what you offer. Being stereotyped and talked about within earshot was unprofessional, disrespectful and will not be tolerated. When I confronted them about it, they scurried off like dogs caught with their noses in the trash. I have reached out multiple times in an attempt to speak directly with management about what happened and have received no response. The only acknowledgment I've received has been this public, inauthentic attempt at damage control that reframes what actually occurred as something I merely "felt." If management genuinely wants to address the situation, they have had--and still have--every opportunity to contact me directly.

The sales rep (who I won't name) helped us select carpet and scheduled measurement with one of their preferred installers, Carpet Workroom. So far so good. A few days later, I received the proposal and went into immediate sticker shock at the $6,785 price tag. $2,995 of which was for "fabrication and installation of the stair treads", plus another $1,250 for "time spent removing the old stair tread carpet pieces and preparing the substrate for the installation of the new carpet tread pieces". When I asked the sales rep for an explanation why these costs were so high, I received the following reply: "The amount of time it will take to prepare the stair treads by removing the adhesive that exists is costly...removal of the adhesives from the current installation can take a very long time to remove even with chemicals and scraping." Here's the crux of the matter: No adhesive was used on the stair treads or on any other part of the current installation. Only traditional carpet tack strips were used. The stair treads can easily be removed in a matter of minutes, and the carpet tack strips can be reused to install the new carpet. I pointed this to out to the sales rep with photos to prove it and indicated willingness to revisit the bid if he would provide a revised proposal with a reasonable price for fabricating and installing the stair treads. He did not reply. I subsequently went to another local company. Their bid? $2,800. Right about what I thought the job should and would cost. Caveat emptor.

As a small, family-owned business local to the Portland area, they truly go above and beyond for their customers. From the very first phone call, Chantal was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. She responded to my follow-up email promptly and with the same level of care. When I explained my situation, Mike (the owner) personally squeezed me into his already busy schedule for the very next day -- even driving out of his way to my home in Sandy. The travel fee was more than worth it for the quality of service I received. I had a particularly tough biohazard pet stain (not urine, but still a real challenge). I had already tried cleaning it three times myself with a home carpet shampoo vacuum with zero success. Mike assessed the situation right away, recommended the perfect combination of services and products for my specific issue, and completely resolved it. The results were incredible -- the stain and odor are completely gone. A+ Carpet Cleaning delivered excellent, professional work from start to finish. If you're in the Portland area and need carpet cleaning you can trust, look no further. I highly recommend them and will definitely be calling them again!
