This physical therapy company…read morerenders extremely poor quality of physical therapy care, is not sufficiently equipped with professional physical therapy equipment, and its billing department's employees are disorganized, incompetent, unprofessional & dishonest. In the past, I have received substantial physical therapy at Athletico for various injuries and surgical rehab & I can say with 100% certainty that the quality of physical therapy care at Athletico and the physical therapy professional equipment at Athletico is far superior than that of PTSIR. On 12/30/2024, I attended my 1st physical therapy session at PTSIR. I was taken into a small room approximately 9' x 10'. Due to small size of the room, the entire right side of the PT table was pushed flush all the way against the wall thereby rendering it impossible to perform the PT exercise I was instructed to perform which required my right lower body to extend past the edge of the right side of the table. The physical therapist & clinic director said - you're not going to be able perform the exercise to the right because the table is against the wall. Even though it was an impossibility to perform one of the PT exercises due to the location of the PT table being flush against the wall on the right side, PTSIR billed $655 for a 50 minute PT session. This is unacceptable and outrageous! PTSIR's lack of space & improper PT set-up and/or unwillingness to spend the money to lease or build-out a proper PT space is unacceptable. I was advised by the clinic director & physical therapist to contact the billing department at PTSIR. I twice spoke Nina in the billing department. Both times Nina represented she would call me back by date certain but failed to call me back. This is unprofessional & unacceptable & exemplifies the poor manner in which this company conducts its business operations. Subsequently, I also spoke with Melanie, Christina & twice spoke with supervisor Kathy F. in PTSIR's billing department. I was told by the billing department that Nina orally claimed that she did call me back & leave me a voicemail message, however, that was blatant lie as my call log does not show an incoming or missed call from Nina & I did not receive a voicemail message from Nina. Again, this misrepresentation & blatant lie by Nina is unprofessional & unacceptable & exemplifies the poor manner in which this company conducts its business operations. Like Nina, supervisor, Kathy F. also twice represented she would call me back by date certain but failed to do so. Again, supervisor Kathy F.'s failure to follow through with her representations is unprofessional & unacceptable & exemplifies the poor manner in which this company conducts its business operations. Additionally, both the clinic director & Kathy F. represented that they would send a message to the regional manager, Joshua V., to contact me directly to further discuss this matter. Almost 2 weeks elapsed, however, I did not receive a call from the regional manager, Joshua V. I obtained Joshua V.'s business contact number, & called & left him a voicemail message. Joshua V. did return my call, however, he claimed he never received a message from Kathy F. or the clinic director. Clearly, either Kathy F. & the clinic director failed to send Joshua V. a message to contact me as they represented they would do or Joshua V. is lying as to whether he received a message from one or both of them to call me directly. Again, this demonstrates the poor manner in which this company & its employees conduct its business operations. Joshua V. was unhelpful and unable to do anything with regard to this matter, and quite frankly, needs some additional & significant training as to how to professionally communicate with patients & clientele. Again, this demonstrates the poor manner in which this company & its employees conduct its business operations. I have opened up a quality of care complaint with my health insurer. If you are seeking quality physical therapy care, DO NOT use PTSIR.

He honestly listened to everything I had to say and personalized my treatments. With innovative exercises and a hands on approach I am feeling so much better. Travis then went on to give me even more ideas to help recover moving forward. For someone who flies constantly, they taught me things I will continue to use throughout my life. I even had a difficult time dress myself or even putting on my shoes. Yes, all simple tasks were nearly impossible! I went to urgent care, the chiropractor, a spine specialist, and even tried PT at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab with little to no relief. I heard about aqua therapy and ask my doctor to investigate it with me. I found Rush PT at Morraine Valley. Religiously I went 3-days a week. It was AMAZING. Things I could NOT do on land I could accomplish in the water. Eventually, we moved our therapy program to land with great success. Sarah my therapist recommended dried needling to help relieve my pain. I was reluctant at first but she assured me it was safe and effective. SURPRISE.... I was able to get off all my pain meds. (I was on 3 different types 3 times a day). It was like the spasms and pain stopped misbehaving. My pain was gone! My movement restored! Today, I am following the exercise program that Sarah has laid out for me and try to swim at least 2-days a week. I am back to my old self, med-free, pain-free, and happy to be moving again! Had right shoulder collarbone surgery in the spring, and came here after I got out of the cast. Pretty happy. Staff Brenda, Dan, Barb are very professional and user-friendly. I have seen significant improvements in my right shoulder/arm, and I've lost some weight to boot (couldn't move around much with the cast on). Highly recommend. :)

After my first appointment I knew I wanted to complete all 4-6 months of PT here. Debbie and Dan are 2 really great physical therapists. They realize it's important for me to recover range of motion quickly so they pushed me just the right amount. When I was recovering faster than expected they picked up the pace so I was constantly challenged and progressing. The staff is very friendly and they are flexible in scheduling appointments. It is a small practice (Dan also has an office in Manteno) that prioritizes patient satisfaction. Everyone here is stellar! Also had no troubles with insurance at all. I would absolutely go here again if necessary, although I'm certainly hoping I don't get hurt this severe any time soon.

Mental health counselling…read more I had a not so good experience with this company last year. I really liked the counselor a lot. I asked her to read a story that I had written about mostly my life from 2021 to 2024. I thought it would help explain the way I communicate to certain people. I don't think she read it. So, I was talking about an email I sent to somebody, and all of a sudden, she became very judgmental to the point that I ended the session and never went back. I was trying to get away from being judged without knowledge of what might have made my email a little stronger than it needed to be. In plain English, I was really tired of being wrong all of the time. I filed for a divorce after 47 1/2 years of marriage partly because of that. Fast forward, a couple of weeks ago. I decided to try to do therapy at this company once more, because I had been going through a very difficult time in my life since late December. The intake form was clearly designed for physical therapy, and that was pretty frustrating. For instance, it asked me what part of my body needed physical therapy. It would not let me advance to the next page until I finally check the "head" box. Well, I finally agreed to a therapist, and a time. When I first talked to the therapist, I tried to explain what had happened last year. I pretty much begged her to please read my "story". I offered for her to read it on my time. She was having no part of it. I explained to her that I have finally healed with a lot of what was in that story, and I saw no reason for me to relive it. Some of it was very dark, and it took an awful lot of work to get past it. I won't elaborate in this, but suffice it to say, it was the darkest days of my 74 years. I knew it had happened but had absolutely no desire to revisit it. Well, we did it the way she demanded, and it affected me just the way I thought that it might. I emailed her how it made me feel, and I received a "canned email" back telling me that if I was having psychological issues call 988, and if I was having medical issues call 911. Gee thanks! Fast forward to yesterday (Monday April 20) I had made an appointment for 1PM Monday, and I simply got confused about it, and thought it was at 2PM like most all my appointments are due to my having trouble sleeping. I was sent two emails between 1PM and 1:20 PM, although I was nowhere my computer. I admitted it was my "bad". But after thinking about i was wondering why, that in that 20 minutes she couldn't have called the office and have them check up on me. I very much believe in the golden rule, and I can say without any reservation, that is what I would have done. I would have done that with anybody, not just a 75 year old man with very limited mobility. I am beginning to understand now why the about the only thing this country leads in now, is record debt, and minimal common sense.

My therapist pushes you to do your best and depending on your performance he'll push you to do just a litter bester. He doesn't just tell you what to do, he works with you, encouraging you to keep going. The therapists here are professional and help make therapy an appointment you look forward to.

I could not drive, could not sleep, could not work around my house. If I moved too fast, or turned too fast, or bent down it brought on an attack. I was discouraged and ready to give up when the kind lady at the front desk took time and effort to encourage me and caution me to quit was not a good resolution...Within tend days or so I was able to resume my life and they released me telling me I could return if I ever felt I needed their help. They were kind, caring and knowledgable.

Never did we feel rushed. She was just happy to help in any way she could. Full of information and super nice. And Dr. Curtis is the absolute best. He takes his time and makes us feel heard. He asks questions and many of them so that he can asses our problems as thoroughly as possible. He gave us exercises and stretches that actually have HEALED my son's back. Please keep in mind, my son does these exercises and stretches on a daily basis because he is an athlete and never wants to feel the discomfort and pain again that he was previously experiencing. He is currently working on making his knee whole again with exercises and stretches that Dr. Curtis has recommended. It's only been about 1.5 weeks and already there is much improvement. MUCH improvement. Go see Dr. Curtis. Follow his instructions. Feel better. ^_~
