I spent the majority of the first session filling out a survey - this could have been done ahead of time with my other paperwork. They are also insisting I come 3 days a week, which I am pushing back against. If it is that urgent, please make the sessions a bit more productive.

I remember when I showed up for my first appointment all of the staff already knew my name and were very welcoming and I distinctly recall being very impressed by that. They're all very invested in each patient's recovery and it was always very clear to me that they had my best interest in mind. PT can be pretty painful/uncomfortable/hard at times and they're very good at knowing just how much to push you. I was also really impressed with how flexible the scheduling is - there were a number of times where I had to come in before work and it was nice that they had such early hours, and I also rescheduled appointments around a fair amount (even the same day) and they were very accommodating.

I like that they are one-stop health care, and whatever they don't do at the office gets handled quickly with a referral. An added bonus is the patient web portal that allows you to log in and get test results, etc. The office is very clean, and the Medical Assistants that I have seen were all competent and nice.

I had two issues that have developed over the last year and he was able to issue referrals for treatment from my previously used specialists. Something my former PCP would not do. He is a partner in "Partners In Internal Medicine". They have two offices, 1 in Canton the other in Ann Arbor. They have an onsite lab so I have to go back Monday morning to complete today's visit. My spouse sees Dr. Hashemian from the same practice. We highly recommend the treatment we receive.

On both cases, I've found them to be not only effective, but everyone there is attentive, good communicators, as well as just friendly and caring. It's the best medical place of any kind I've been to. Special props to Heather LaHaie, who is also the Director. She will ask some REALLY picky questions at times but she digs hard to figure out exactly what the issue is she the best way to treat it. But she's only a little cut above the rest. You won't go wrong there. Also, it's very nice looking inside. Everything looks clean and well cared for, and big front windows let in lots of natural light.

Without going into details, I found Advance Physical Therapy to be a very poor choice for PT for us. 1) Don't be fooled you will pay to see a PT but we were pawn you off to techs. 2) We were left alone without any supervision to do exercises 3) I had a PT many years ago asked me if you lift 5 lbs every day for a year, how much can you lift after the year? The answer is 5 lbs. We had to request for change so we could progress. I wish we had seen how this place truly operated before we committed our rehab here. I took the patient to another Trinity Health Physical Therapy clinic located inside the Canton IHA hospital and it was not nearly as good as this one on Lilley Road. The workers are very nice and do a lot more exercises and massage. Physical therapist Samar J is great and the patient enjoyed her massage and that she printed out the exercises to practice at home. I will be choosing this clinic again if the patient needs physical therapy in the future.

Being a nurse, I have opinions and he is willing to discuss them with me so we can come to an answer that addresses my issues. I have been going to this practice for years and have complete confidence in Dr. Docking. He has been treating me for bilateral knee joint pain and I certainly know when it's time to go back to see him. I have osteoarthritis and I'm trying to avoid knee surgery. He tells me we still have many conservative options available. The first physician I saw there has since retired. He diagnosed me with a condition that another big hospital misdiagnosed and once correctly treated, quickly resolved. They have been remodeling their office and it is complete, I think. I find it fresher and more updated. The staff have always been very nice to me. Dr. Docking is an incredible human being and a wonderful physician. I would highly recommend him.

There is a giant windowed-off area where the staff sits, behind the waiting room, and none of the staff looked up or seemed to want anything to do with the patients. No greeting, nothing. And it's impossible to actually speak to anyone if you call their office. You have to leave a voicemail message and hope they call you back. As to Dr. Bloom: He performs IME's, which are so-called "independent" (but contracted/paid for by insurance companies) medical exams, used to make determinations in disability and worker's comp claims. I was sent to an IME appointment with him. Suffice it to say that my claim was denied, despite my well-documented medical condition. I would recommend avoiding Dr. Bloom (or any other physician who performs paid IME's) if you care about integrity and professionalism. Shame on this organization for allowing this in their office.

I have had balance problems for years which have almost been totally ameliorated. Now, we are also focusing on strength to maintain what has been gained. I recommend PPTS without reservation. Also, what deserves mention is that, unlike practices where no one talks to one another - the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
