This place is not huge with all the bells and whistles of spacious facility environment, this helps with keeping cost of therapy affordable, so it's functional and serves its purpose. It's not tiny/ cluttered. Just the right size. My son gets his OT & ST here, and both services are 1 hour long. Other clinics say they'll give you an hour and bill for it too, but really they only give you 45 mins of treatment time. Westside gives you a full hour of treatment time! Very honest people, and their employees look happy. In the world of providing service, this is very important to me because it shows teamwork and integrity. Happy employees= happy customers. This company is closed on weekends, their staff is not over-worked, there are departments designated for billing, scheduling, etc, leaving only one person to communicate with at the front desk for day to day pick up and drop off etc., messages don't get lost in translation. I have 7 year old twin boys with sensory processing disorder and texture aversion, which lead to extremely picky eating. Actually, when we started with Miss Michelle and Miss Marie 1 1/2 years ago, one of my boys only had 3 foods that he ate and the other maybe 15. We tried many things to get them to eat different foods, but nothing worked. When they started gagging just from the smell of cooking and from the sight of applesauce, I realized it was a much bigger problem that was going to require professional help. It turns out, along with the SPD and texture aversion, they both have reflux which was diagnosed by Miss Marie and Miss Michelle, then substantiated by an ENT referral and scope. Once they were on Prevacid for about a month, things started to change. With the food chaining techniques, homework, and games, they now have a completely different diet. Last night we had baked chicken, spinach salad, and rice for dinner - and that is what they ate. We can go out to restaurants without bringing their food with us. It has been a truly life changing experience. We have been so happy with KatieBug and would recommend them to anyone needing a SLP, especially kids with feeding issues and picky eating. My boys never cried or were upset with the therapy - they actually looked forward to it and seeing Miss Michelle. We have only one session left and are being discharged and will miss them greatly.
