Do not waste your time, and especially your money, by trying to get physical therapy from this horrible place. They don't have any time for their patients and treat people with billing questions like they are ignorant. I experienced horrible customer service when my son went to the Lakeside location for "treatment." The therapist stretched out his arm (less than 5 minutes in the room) and charged us $50 per visit. Instead of instructing him from the start that his treatment could be handled by himself, she continued to milk us for money by having him come in weekly. His doctor was appalled that he was seen so many times for such a minor injury. He will no longer refer people to Excel, because he feels as though could have had treatment completed MUCH earlier than it was.
I called the billing office to ask why the bills we were continuing to be sent to me even though my son had completed treatment 2 months earlier. They gave me a tired excuse about insurance taking a while and said I was wrong to think the charges were final. They had told me previously that my payments were complete. They continued billing, again blaming insurance. It was a horrible experience and the charges were OUTRAGEOUS!!! Plus, the billing staff was disgustingly rude. They need some training on how to treat customers and how to do their jobs better for sure!
If you get stuck using Excel, please take my advice, ASK your therapist from the start how long they think treatments will last. Don't end up like us, with 3+ weeks of useless treatments! (When we asked why they did this, their explanation was, "your son kept scheduling more visits!") Very unprofessional! Also, ASK what the cost will be up front. They will tell you they don't know until insurance pays, but press further and they will have to come up with some sort of estimate. GOOD LUCK IF YOU GET STUCK GOING HERE!!! I would never want anyone in my family to suffer at the hands of this unprofessional business, so I definitely wouldn't recommend it to strangers! read more
