The vibe is 100% collaborative and professional. Both therapists figured out I was having "impingement," which was causing burning, searing pain on my shin. After doing a routine of 5-6 exercises for a week my pain was gone. Pain that had prevented me from walking or even sitting for a month was GONE after doing their prescribed 5-6 exercises within a week. Amazing! Everyone here is enthusiastic and engaged. The facility in general including all the equipment was open airy and clean. Moving forward (no pun intended!) I'll never go to a chiropractor again for a quick fix! From now on, physical therapy at Athletico in La Porte will always be my first choice!

One torn due to bone spurs and the other on the way (according to the doctor). I couldn't lift my arms above my chest, it was that bad. But the people here explained to me in depth how it all worked, what to do, how to do...and it worked out great! When I was done, the surgeon and doctor agreed that the surgery would be a possibility down the road, instead of impending. They were impressed by the by the marked improvement I had. Now it is a thing that will be monitored, but I have full use of my arms. No shots , no surgery. And the people that work there are very friendly and personal. Which I liked. Overall it was a very positive experience. I would recommend Athletico to anyone in need of PT.

I was last told by the risk management department that it was being investigated but have not heard anything back to date. My wife and I were targeted by an employee that unfortunately has been allowed to escalate to a serious issue. They advertise they are part of the Medical Fitness Association however their management has proven that they do not adhere to their standards and guidelines. They have discriminated against my wife. I would have expected better from Franciscan. Both the fitness center manager and compliance officer stated that Franciscan has a Zero tolerance for drugs. It's ok for their Personal trainer to sell drugs to her clients but not for us to report it? Perhaps sometimes it's easier to claim ignorance? Shame on Franciscan for not completing an employment verification and trusting your members.

He told me to not wear my walking boot, just a regular shoe. We'll 1 hour later in a regular shoe. Took it off and stood up on it. And my ankle popped, MRI showed several tears. I went to him to see what he was going to do. He said everything was fine. Its just a little hiccup that just put you back a month. He said to me, he wrote a note to my therapist while I was in his room. Starting that he talked to my therapist about my new orders, what to do for my ankle. When I got to therapy. My therapist never received or talked to him at all about my new care plan. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HIM. HE RUINED MY ANKLE. ITS WORSE NOW THEN BEFORE MY SURGERY. NOT A GOOD CHOICE IF YOU NEED SURGERY.

I was treated there in 2021-2022 for three different problems (neck pain, therapy after foot surgery, and a torn rotator cuff). They got rid of my pain and got me back to full range-of-motion for each of my three problems. In the past 4 years, I've been to 3 different physical therapy places in Chesterton, including ATI. I rate ATI a 10, whereas the other two places I'd give a 0 and a 5. The place I rated 0 actually injured me, so I then needed PT to fix the harm they'd caused. That was when I switched to ATI. I wish I'd gone to them instead of the place that injured me .

I was referred by my Dr to Care Choice over 2 &1/2 years ago for IV care & supplies. The first…read morenurse they sent was very anxious & not familiar with Picc lines besides not washing his hands. After I complained I did get a very good nurse. My big issue is I haven't had any contact with them since Dec 2012. No calls nothing as it is 2015 & I'm still receiving IV medication. I assumed I was done with these people. When I tried to get PT in 2014 , from the same Dr who referred me to Care Choice, they came back & said I was still covered by Care Choice nursing plan. The best is when I gave Care Choice's information to the other plan, Glenview Hospital Home Nursing, they said they couldn't find any information & the phone number I was given when they came to my home didn't work. They seem very sketchy, have several company names & my Dr will not refer anyone else to this company.
