During that time, I received various services including spinal adjustments, spinal manipulations, electrical stimulation therapy, and massage therapy. I am glad I made the decision to go to American Back Center after my car accident. My condition significantly improved thanks to the treatments I received from Dr. Chris Edginton, Dr. Andrea Medina and American Back Center's massage therapist Stella Mayer. The doctors of American Back Center crafted a customized plan to treat my car accident injuries. Dr. E. and Dr. M. factored in the events that occurred in my life before they saw me at my appointments. I felt personally cared for as a patient at American Back Center. I never felt like another number in their medical-files. One of my favorite aspects of American Back Center is that it provides patients with supplementary PT and massage therapy. I received massage therapy from Stella. I was amazed by the sustainability of my benefits. My benefits were maintained after my massage therapy sessions were over. You could also maintain the benefits Stella gives to you after you walk out of American Back Center! American Back Center is staffed with great secretaries. I was impressed with how quickly Adrianna scheduled my appointments and sent reminders to my e-mail address! I plan to continue meeting with Dr. E, Dr. M and Stella at American Back Center to maintain the progress I made after my car accident. I strongly recommend American Back Center to every injured person that suffers from pain.

I have had some medical issues that I have not been able to resolve for the past few years. Having tried Western medicine and holistic methods, I decided to try out acupuncture. I was not sure where to find a good acupuncturist (other than Chinatown). I really wanted someone I could communicate my problems to and who could communicate with me so that I could understand everything. Dr. Zhao was the answer to my problems. She speaks English and some Mandarin! I had told Dr. Zhao that it was my first time to acupuncture and told her my problems. She explained everything thoroughly to me and put me at ease by answering all my questions without any judgment. She was very soft spoken, calm, and friendly. During the procedure, I was worried about pain with the needles, but I barely felt a thing! It was very relaxing! Dr. Zhao was able to pinpoint all the tender areas on my body (that I did not even know were tender to the touch)! She is that good! Dr. Zhao was able to relate my tender areas to my medical problem. There are many rooms at this center, and everything looked very clean. While I was resting w/the needles in me, Dr. Zhao put on a heater to warm me up and also some spa music to relax me. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep! Chicago Whole Health Center accepts insurance. Before I made my appointment, I spoke with the other doctor, Dr. Graham Pommerehn, who called my insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) for me to see if acupuncture was covered under my insurance plan. He called me back to let me know what my insurance allowed under my plan. Super nice!!! The only thing I needed to pay was a co-payment. Awesome! Best of all, they are open late until 7pm! The building is very large so you can't miss it. There is plenty of street parking in the area for $1.75/hr.

A few months ago, I came to see Dr. Ezgur for a flare up of a chronic, recurring low back pain…read moreissue. I had seen several other chiropractors and physical therapists over the years with pretty good results, but the pain would always return. I recently moved to Chicago and was referred to Dr. Ezgur by my primary care doctor. After reading the many positive reviews on yelp, I decided to make an appointment. When I called to make the appointment, Chivette the office manager was very friendly and helpful. After gathering the details of my problem, she got me scheduled and took my insurance information which was verified by her before I even came into the office, so we knew exactly what was covered and what was not. As it turns out, Dr. Ezgur was in-network with my insurance company, so all of my services (including massage!) were covered and I just had a co-pay. Dr. Ezgur spent a full hour with me in a private office/treatment room getting my history and doing an exam. It was the most thorough head-to-toe exam I've ever had! Dr. Ezgur was very patient, and answered all my questions, and then we discussed my treatment options. I had seen may practitioners before, but nobody ever put together a comprehensive treatment plan like the one Dr. Ezgur recommended. He explained that because my problem had been re-occurring for so long, he wanted to be sure to uncover and correct all the underlying causes. The treatment plan was to do chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, massage therapy, and physical therapy including a newer, "cutting-edge" type of rehab called DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) which was really effective and quite different from anything I had ever done before. We also did ART (active release technique) and Graston for my tight muscles. His adjustments were comfortable and effective (he got everything to "pop"). I had never had acupuncture before and was a bit hesitant, so we held off on that for awhile, but when I was ready to try it, I was surprised as to how painless it was. I barely felt any of the needles. And I'm so glad I tried it, because it really made a big difference after just the 2nd treatment! Aside from the treatments, he offered lots of self-care advice in terms of nutrition (the "anti-inflammatory diet"), recommendations to change my running shoes, tips for proper lifting at the gym, and he wrote me a letter to give to my employer explaining the need for an ergonomic consultation and a standing/convertible work station. All of these "extras" helped a lot. After seeing me twice a week for 3 weeks, I felt completely back to "normal", so I started seeing him less often - once per week for a few weeks, then gradually weaning down to once per month. After 6 months, I'm still 100% better and have no flare-ups like I used to, so he said to just keep doing my exercises and just follow up with him if I have any future problems. He said that coming in for wellness visits including adjustments and massage on a monthly basis could be a good way to keep things aligned and help prevent re-injury, but that it wasn't necessary to rely on that to keep me out of pain. Other chiropractors in the past have pressured me into coming every month, and although it would help temporarily, the pain kept coming back. I'm so glad Dr. Ezgur was able to finally solve my persistent problem without the need to always have to keep coming back. What sets Dr. Ezgur apart from the other chiropractors I've seen in the past is that it's not a cookie-cutter approach. He really takes the time to listen and create a treatment plan based on what you really need. I highly recommend Dr. Ezgur and his staff.

I've been seeing Dr. Karwowski since 2022, and looking back at where I was then compared with today…read moreis pretty incredible. After years of lower back pain and sciatica, I had reached a point where I could barely walk a few minutes without stopping to stretch. Sitting hurt, standing back up hurt, and there were days when I could barely stand straight. We were also expecting our second child, and one of the reasons I finally reached out was simply because I wanted to be physically able to help my wife and keep up with my kids. Dr. Karwowski was friendly, direct and realistic from the beginning. I had already seen other chiropractors who gave me temporary relief, and I told her I wanted something more sustainable. We worked through chiropractic care along with physical therapy, and gradually I started getting stronger and having fewer of those bad days. Today, in 2026, I've run half marathons and full marathons and can chase my kids around without constantly thinking about my back. That means a lot more to me than I can probably put into a review. Dr. Karwowski and the team at Prime Health Solutions have played a major role in that journey. They've always been welcoming and have even found ways to fit me in when I was having a bad day and needed help. If you're dealing with ongoing back pain and wondering whether it's worth getting another opinion, I would personally recommend talking with Dr. Karwowski. They also accept insurance.
