Customer service is really bad. I went inside the Naperville store to do a return of one of the…read moreshoes I bought online. Staff completely ignored me. I waited in line until they finished serving the other customers, I had to tell them that I have a return. The first person who's at the register went out her area and didn't even look at me until I said I have a return. She just said "oh, yeah" then pointed at the other guy in the other register. So again I waited for the other guy to finish helping the other customer. I know the guy saw me and heard what i said to the lady at the first register but he was also going to get out from where his register is until I said I have a return. He moved slowly to the other register where I was standing close to and the look on his face just says he doesn't want to help me. He spoke on his radio looking at the other staff helping a customer with shoes and told him that there is a return. I gave 2 stars because their online store has more bigger and extra wide size selections. Zero star for customer service.

The shoe brand turned out to be very comfortable. The store only had a plain color in stock, but they provided me a tablet to search for additional color options. I had come in on a Saturday, and they called me on Wednesday that my shoes have arrived. Staff that I encountered on first and second visit were friendly. I did not feel pressured to make a purchase and they gave me space to look around. Very good shoe selection from a wide variety of brands. There is limited parking out front, but the deck is only a block away. I would return.

To be fair, I just ordered so haven't actually received the shoes, but didn't want to forget to leave this note. I'll update if the shoes never arrive. Ha! Update: they arrived before I expected them to. They were a Christmas gift and I got them before Christmas, which was awesome.

Great local shop for anyone who actually takes care of their shoes…read more They have very good prices on shoe-care products, and the selection is much better than what you usually find at a department store or general retailer. If you polish and maintain leather dress shoes, sneakers, or boots, they carry quality products from well-known shoe-care brands rather than just the basic stuff. The salesperson was helpful, knowledgeable, and able to explain the different brushes, pastes, waxes, and polishes without trying to oversell anything. I ended up picking up a handful of products for several pairs of shoes as a little project to keep some of my more expensive footwear in good shape and looking as close to new as possible. They also offer shoe repair and other services if you need more than just supplies, which makes this a great one-stop local shop for footwear maintenance. Definitely worth checking out if you care about your shoes and would rather maintain them properly than keep replacing them.

They were so kind, not in a rush, and didn't argue with me. They not only went above and beyond but made my day just a little bit better after a life event that occurred today. Jeric's is what small business is all about…read more Some background - I hate yelp. It's the worst. But, I know every once in awhile a normal person looks to it for guidance, so I created an account to give this place some points. It's important to keep these places around. I'm 30. About two months ago, I decided I was going to get back into skating. I know, I get it. Cut it out. That's the point. Jeric's didn't make me feel like the millennial stereotype that I most certainly am. First time I went in, I brought my old board from when I was 13. The owner, whose name is escaping me (my fault, not his - he told me), looked at it, and gave me a fair assessment. The deck and bearings were garbage. The trucks and wheels worked. Use them, he said, come back and update the rest later, if you want. THANK YOU! I fell in love with skating. I'm beyond terrible, but that's not the point. It keeps me in shape, and it's a totally harmless, victimless outlet to direct pent up aggression ("Why. Can't. I. KEEP MY. SHOULDERS STRAIGHT!?!?!"). I went back today to replace those 17 year old trucks and wheels. NEW TECHNOLOGY. Now, I can't blame a 4-inch ollie on my gear. The owner went through the positives and negatives of each brand, size, hardness, weight, etc. I got a full-on seminar. Not one hint of the, "get f*cked, poser," i probably deserve. This guy either loves his job, is very good at it, or deserves an oscar. Probably a combination of all three. After I was all set up, he says, "let me see your ollie." I show him my first god-awful, not-warmed-up attempt. From there, I pretty much got a lesson. Guy spent about about 30 minutes giving me little tips and constructively pointing out what I was/am doing wrong. This is what customer service is missing. I live in NYC. They have about 100 Zumiez within a 30 mile radius. But, I'll wait until I visit my family, and buy gear at Jeric's. Thanks.
