The worst of the worst, unfortunately there is no choice to pick less than one star. My nephew bought a pair of shoes that tore and ribbed in 4 places after wearing it 2 times since the date of purchase which is 06/03/2019. I went to return it back or exchange it but the associate and the manager were EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional .. the associate said I remember you guys I helped you two weeks ago but I don't know what did you do to the shoe, and said " I don't know what kind of work you do " The manager said "  I won't take it because it is used and this is expected to happen... when I tried to explain that it is just 2 weeks ago, he said to go complain to adidas. I love this store and will no be going anywhere else from now on. This first time I came across this store was after visiting 4 other stores looking for a particular pair of shoes. The first 3 stores didn't have them, the 4th store did, but the customer service was horrible and I refused to spend my money there. Those 4 stores were all large, well known chains. I had all but given up, but stumbled across The Athlete's Foot on my way out of the mall. While this store is slightly smaller than those other big stores, it is in every way better. Their selection is perfection! I found what I was looking for immediately then instantaneously had an associate, Edward, begin talking to me. He wasn't just trying to sell me shoes quickly and shuffle me out. We discussed how great Adidas' are, then after we finished he went and grabbed my shoes, because they actually had them in my size! I was happy. The short time he was gone I found another pair I liked, he told me about them without pressuring me, and I planned to come back for them later. Having worked in retail, this was one of the best experiences I've ever had. He should be highly praised for the level of work he does and how much you can tell he actually cares about people. Fast forward 2 weeks, my wife to surprise me goes back to grab me that pair of shoes I was eyeing. Edward was busy, but she noticed how great he was while overhearing his interaction. She worked with Douglas who was also incredible nice and a pleasure to deal with. These people here are amazing. We highly recommend this store! The store was very clean, nicely setup, and has what you're looking for, no need to go anywhere else. And did I mention how great their customer service? After having a horrible experience at one of their competitors and walking out without purchasing some much needed basketball shoes for my son, we walked into The Athlete's Foot and it was like a breath of fresh air. Joey was so welcoming and assisted my son in finding the perfect shoe. We shared with the manager, Douglas, the horrible experience we had just had and how much we appreciated the atmosphere in his store; Joey's professionalism and their overall excellent customer service. David and Douglas are super helpful! Out of all the sneakers stores in Fox Valley, they were the ONLY store that actively sought to help me as a customer and help me find discounts to decrease the overall price of my purchase. I've been going to Fox Valley since I was a child and it's awesome to know that a store that has always had such quality service is maintaining that standard.
