After a hike, my friends and I had a desire for something sweet. On our way to the 101, we spotted…read morethis doughnut shop within a shopping complex. This doughnut shop is cute! The shop offers a selection of doughnuts, cupcakes, mini cupcakes, macaroons, drinks and more. We hone in on the doughnuts! We were all pleased with our doughnuts! And many thanks for the kind service provided! Note: best to come early as the supply was limited at 1040 in the morning. Plenty of park by shop plus limited spots in front. My only suggestion, if the complex allows, is to provide some seating outside to enjoy our sweets.

I stopped in here on Valentine's day and by 2pm their selection was a little slim, but since…read morethey're only open until 3pm that was not surprising. I saw on their menu board they have Gluten Free options, but the woman behind the counter confirmed it's custom order only. Still, it's good that it's an option if you order ahead. And their macrons are GF so I got some of those. They had 11 different flavors, though I only saw tags for some of those flavors so the rest will be a surprise! I also got 4 cupcakes and I had committed myself to buying 4 but wasn't sure I loved 4 flavors of what was left. I ended up with (in order of interest): apple pie, black forest, snickerdoodle and mint chocolate. I should have read my review from 12 years ago because the mint chocolate still tastes like toothpaste to me, but it's a very mild mint so that's good. I wasn't sure I'd like the snickerdoodle but it was amazing! The black forest cupcake had a maraschino cherry inside, which was an awesome surprise! I ate the apple pie one last and it had a little actual apple pie filling inside of it! LOVE THAT!! It feels sacrilegious of me to say, but I think the cupcakes have just a little too much frosting. It's also fair to say these are not cheap cupcakes. You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and they look beautiful, and you pay a premium for all that. Overall, I highly recommend these cupcakes and will definitely stop here again.

From the…read morevery beginning, she was warm, kind, and genuinely lovely to work with -- exactly the kind of person you hope to have around during such an important event. She created the most beautiful three-tier cake for us with delicate pearl details and softly textured rustic tiers that fit the wedding perfectly. It looked stunning, but what everyone kept talking about was how good it tasted. We chose different flavor combinations for each tier, and every single one was incredibly moist, flavorful, and delicious. For anyone debating between a cake and a dessert table, Ali does both beautifully -- but there's something so special about having a gorgeous cake as part of the celebration. Ours became such a focal point of the reception, and the cake cutting ended up being one of the sweetest, most heartfelt moments of the evening. I'm so glad we chose to include one. Ali also handled delivery and placement flawlessly, which made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. We couldn't have been happier with our choice and are so grateful for the care and talent she brought to the day.

Their wedding cake tasting package yielded a fun and tasty date night and gave us confidence in our choice to rely on them. Our guests adored the lemon bars and brownies and loved the variety we had in our three tier cake: top tier was red velvet cake with vanilla cream cheese filling, middle tier was a champagne cake with strawberry buttercream filling, and our favorite, the bottom tier, was a banana cake with banana brown sugar filling. They were communicative and clear with pricing and I couldn't be happier with their timeliness and the love they put into their goods. My husband and I highly recommend Sugar Lab Bake Shop and dream of their desserts. We can't wait for our anniversary cake!

This review is SO long overdue; I could have sworn I did one as soon as my event was over. Sorry…read moreabout that! I found Sheryl through a combination of Google and Yelp when planning my daughter's first birthday at Underwood Farms. This party was more complex than my wedding to plan, but it all came together at the end. Doing this custom cake and cookie order was probably the easiest part of everything. I sent a few inspo photos, as the theme was "Holy Cow, I'm One", and I wanted a very specific shade of baby pink with cow print. The two tier cake was perfect, Sheryl even tried to tell me that the cake size I was ordering sounded too big for my guest count, but of course, I insisted on a nice big cake. Which she definitely delivered. Sheryl actually delivered the cake herself, and was perfectly on time and helped set up the cake/cookies. Leftovers were plenty which came in handy because the cake was amazing. Because the party was in June, and at a farm, basically; I was really praying the weather gods would have mercy, but they did not. It was SO hot, like 89 though in the shade. The cake held up amazingly, even being frosted with buttercream; it help it's shape and mold until we sang. Cutting the cake was super easy as well, because it was not dry. So moist, frosting was soft, and not too sweet. The "not too sweet" was key for all my asian friends/relatives; it's probably the biggest compliment a Chinese mom can ever give. "Cake was wonderful, not too sweet" sent me over the moon from our guests. The pink iced cow sugar cookies were SO damn cute, I should have ordered more thinking 60 would be enough but people were taking 2-3 each. The cookies themselves were firm to hold the icing design, but soft, buttery, flavorful. I cannot say enough about the cake and cookies! For context, because we live in LA County, though I REALLY wanted to order from Sheryl again for my daughter's second birthday last year, I made the mistake of using a different baker that was closer to home. Terrible. It was dry, unflavorful. I think we are spoiled by how good the cake and cookies were from Sheryl. I actually gave the product away on Buy Nothing because I could not bring myself to want any leftovers. For her third birthday this year though, I am BACK to the queen. I just placed our order for cake and cookies, and I cannot wait to enjoy Sheryl's creations again. Things to call out because they were important to me, and surprisingly many bakers/bakeries do NOT offer (I spoke to about 15 places when I was initially planning): -delivery for small fee, it is SO convenient to have the order delivered rather than fear of it toppling over in my car or dropping it during transportation and one less thing you have to worry about -even with how elaborate and detailed her cakes are, she doesn't use fondant (I HATE fondant for a variety of reasons), and uses buttercream! -prices are incredibly reasonable, for the product, flavor, quality, and professionalism from Sheryl, especially multi tier cakes. Thank you again for making such special memories for my family and I; I really do believe that the food/dessert/cake offered at events are the most memorable, by far. And you have a client for life, even though we live a county away :)

Cookies for baby shower were exactly what I was looking for. On time free delivery in Camarillo…read more Would order from this business again

Please allow me to take a moment to paint you a picture. 3.5 hours before a dinner party thinking I'm just gonna grab some 12for12$ oysters cause it's Friday. Call in hey what's the prep advance time you need. Nah I got you right now. Perfect Go in and this dude took time probably 10 mins minimum to talk me through perfect accompaniments and how to actually achieve this dinner I wanted. I don't normally eat pork took time to explain this different cuts his recommendations for this salmon and charcuterie plate I was doing. When I say I couldn't have prayed for better help that day without knowing Oscar existed that's a understatement Plus in general this store is fantastically friendly Prepped food counter always takes time and is nice about getting family meals set up even when they're slammed I've spent time at the cheese counter asking the local expert for her recommendations on what each one would go great with. The prime deals they host are normally as good price wise as Costco but then you get organic and some other good extra labels slapped on it. 10/10 12/10 staff 15/10 Oscar and glad I get to live so close by.

As an item I wanted was not in store, I ordered for pickup. First time I have ever done so. I was not sure where to go, what to do etc so I approched the associate who seemed to be handling that area. I saw he was busy so I politely apologized for bothering him and explained I was pretty much clueless on where to go, what to do etc. He told me to check in. I asked him where to do so and he told me to do it the same way I ordered. I ordered on Amazon so tried to open it. Well that store has horrible internet so it took a minute but the only option was curbside vs in store. I again apologized and explained. He told me he wasn't familiar with the app and turned away. I just stood there. Another woman arrived and seemed to be helping out but when I tried to ask her for help, she rather abruptly told me they were busy and other people were waiting. I would not have flinched if she, in a semi polite manner would have simply said something like, "we have quite a few orders but if you don't mind waiting a moment, we will help you." Instead I felt awkward and embarrassed. She did find my order which was handed to me in an efficient but not warm and friendly way and that was it. Both employees seemed irritated that I did not know the "lay of the land" I get the store was busy. They seemed to be short staffed. The woman said they were having technical issues which I totally get and I am sure they were both tired and frustrated. I've been there. But I left feeling ashamed for putting the employees out. Whole Foods - your Oxnard internet is awful so looking for instructions in an email or app is often fruitless. Maybe some clear signage like you have at the Amazon self serve? A simply thing like that would go a long way. I won't try online pickup again. If am item I want is unavailable I will skip it there and purchase it somewhere else. On the upside, Angel, one of your male employees, is always SUPER nice and very helpful. Ditto for the employees at the seafood station. This is the only poor experience I have had.
