Neither of them exactly love the dentist but after our first visit here the girls actually enjoy coming back! We haven't had any cavities or any procedures done so I can't speak to that but one of my truest tests of dentists are if they jump to a procedure, or if they are more of a "wait and watch" person. Any dentist that will jump to a procedure will make me jump offices. So if that doesn't work out for us I will be sure to update this review! So far I don't love any of the hygienists. I LIKE them all and they are all nice but I expect more (the other office I came from in another state I feel like they went above and beyond and they were just amazing with the kids, over here it doesn't feel that way). BUT we do really love Dr. Whittington. He is patient, gentle and kind and explains everything to both the kid and the parent! My 3 year old isn't the easiest to deal with and she didn't want to sit in the patient's chair so he had her sit on my lap and lie back on a tilted board and she did great that way and he was able to brush, polish and get the fluoride varnish without her being mad! That is a win in my book.

She spent plenty of time looking at their teeth and letting me know what to expect. They managed to get my stubborn 3.5 year old to hold still and get a much-needed cleaning. Heck, they even got him to sit still for an x-ray. I can't get him to do anything like that. The billing was a little odd...they let you know all the charges, but then don't break down what is covered or not. But in the end, what I paid matched what the insurance said I would pay. It was pricey, but given how bad dentists can be, I'll just pay the money to see someone good.

Dr. Amin called me the next morning to make sure I was doing alright. I thought that was thoughtful. But being thoughtful is one thing. Being amazing at your craft is another. My new teeth look perfect - the size, the color.... everything is fantastic. I have no complaints. Even Mary at the front desk is super helpful with appointments and scheduling. Was told that they took it and I would only have to pay $50 deposit which would be deducted from my co-pay or refunded if no copay. In same phone call, I informed them I only needed a cleaning and nothing else since I had just had all x-rays done 6 months before at previous dentist and would have records sent to them. So i paid the deposit, had my old dentist forward my records, and spent over an hour completing all the on-line forms for their office. When I showed up to appointment, they presented me with this HUGE bill to pay before they do anything. When I reminded them about the insurance verification and filing, I was told they did not know how much would be refunded to me by insurance so I would have to pay and then wait to see. Since I felt lied to, I cancelled the appointment for which they charged me $150!

I've never heard any of my kids complain about having to go to the dentist. He is a very nice man and his office staff are also very nice. Special call out to the receptionist who has been there from the get go. Sorry I don't remember her name. I recommended him to a friend whose son was needing work done and was resisting so hard, her dentist said they would have to put him under general anesthesia. She brought him to Dr Romney and was able to get the work done. He is just one of those people that give off good energy.
