Since 2016, we had used a local HVAC company (the Brothers) that originally installed our system and provided annual maintenance through a service plan and would find that we always needed a new part or thermostat or upgrade when they would come out for a "tune-up" more often than not. When we experienced a refrigerant leak in the outside condenser, we were told that the system could not be repaired and that we needed to replace the entire HVAC system. Before making that decision, we decided to get a second opinion from Cubb-Cooling -- and we are very thankful we did. I called Cubb-Cooling at 4:45 p.m., and Ben Sr. told me he would come out first thing the next morning to evaluate the system. True to his word, Ben Sr. arrived at 7:00 a.m. and had our HVAC system back up and running within about 20 minutes. Ben Sr. was upfront and honest, explaining that if the repair did not hold, he would apply the repair cost toward a new system within two weeks. Fast forward 16 months, and the repair is still holding strong with no issues. We have since had both Ben Sr. and Ben Jr. come out to inspect the system on two occasions, and while they have been honest that the unit will eventually need to be replaced due to its age and the demands of the Central Florida climate, there has never been any pressure to purchase a new system or pay for unnecessary services/parts/upgrades. Cubb-Cooling is a small, family-owned business that truly values honesty, professionalism, and customer care. Their knowledge, responsiveness, and integrity are exactly what you want when dealing with an HVAC company. When the time comes for your HVAC needs, be sure to call Cubb-Cooling. They have serviced this system at least 10 times for a multitude of problems of there own making. Wrong ducting to the rooms at each end of house (ie) 4 bedrooms. Hardly any air movement what so ever. We paid for 8 " ducts but got 6". The latest is it keeps popping a 5 amp fuse in the system, so they said the thermostat wire needed to be replaced ( which was supposed to be done at install of a COMPLETE install. My house is subfloor , wire is about 35' easy to do and they want 600 dollars. I'm done with Cunningham. PAY HEED

Every single person I came in contact with was professional yet down to earth and it was obvious our comfort was more important to them than the associated profit in the transaction. The installation was "clean" and just plain looked great . The hauled away the old equipment and cleaned up their work areas. In speaking to the installer crew I found all to be related to the family who owns this company, in summary they care about their reputation and treat each client as a friend. As for pricing, they came in $2,240 under for the same TRANE system elsewhere. Pete was referred to us by my dad's usual A/C guy who is no longer working due to health issues. Pete came up, the price was fair and we hired him to do the job. Due to the old ductwork leaking water onto he ceiling, a small section of ceiling fall when his helper set a tool bag on it, so he patched it best he could and since the returns, which were underground, were nasty, he offered to clean them and sanitize the entire home including the attic to help kill the mold which you could smell from the old ducts leaking. I am getting ready to ask him about cleaning the ducts in my own home and possibly my rental unit when I saw there were no reviews. (I thought I had already left one when the work was done a year ago but I guess I was wrong)
