The gym itself is okay but I've never had a cancel anytime membership that made me pay for the next month when given a month's notice of cancellation. Very disappointed in the way the membership issues are handled by this business. Went into Atc Fitness on Quince Rd to rejoin I had been a member of the location for at least 10 years but had to rejoin because my insurance changed. When I came in the lady at the desk had no clue about my insurance and if they accept it. They do because it's the first gym that shows up on the list of gyms we can join. She called over the Manager the bald black dude and without even trying or running my insurance membership number he says "WE DON'T TAKE THAT". So I leave and drive over to the Spottwood location and the manager there tells me that they do take it and that he should have run the membership number I signed up there at Spottswood with no problem. read more

Do not go here they take your money then when you come to them with a problem they will not refund you for a mistake or misunderstanding on their end at all. I just cancelled my membership because they told me if I stop payment doing to the manager not wanting to help they will keep charging money on my account to make it go to collections. This location should be expanded. I feel like the machines/equipment are too close together. Since I'm going to all these cool food places, I have decided that I need to get back in the groove of working out again. I've had a membership for almost two years now, and I've been less than 20 times (don't judge me lol). My job is about less than 10 minutes away. I do like that they have showers, so I can get a morning workout in, shower, and head to work. I went this morning, and I was confused by how they have the locker rooms labeled, so I think I did my stretching in the men's locker room this morning (lol). Luckily, I was the only person in there. I believe they have added more machines. To my knowledge, all the machines look up to date and there are several to use. I wish they offered classes or trainers. They do offer tanning beds for those who tan. I love that all ATC fitness locations are 24 hours. read more

I can't stand a lair! I'm a travel nurse and asked management if I could put my account on hold since I would be out of town & not sure when I would return. They advised me the longest they could do it would be 90 days & this was an exception to the rule because they only do this for military. Not only did they NOT PUT my account on hold they also did not cancel my contract when I put in my notice. So now my account has been referred to a lawyer as a debt collection over their STUPID guidelines for cancellation & making the process DIFFICULT since I was out of town!!!! I have been going to the Quince/Kirby location for yearsssss, since the 24/hr fitness closed on Poplar. Their "newer" manager, Robert, is cocky and rude. When I say cocky, he runs the gym like it's his way or the highway, saying "this is MY gym" ... could have sworn the people working out are paying for it to be OUR gym. He throws customer service out the window because of his ego and rooster mentality. Our confrontation was so unnecessary, he was so belittling... I HATED going to the gym after that. He was always in the way when he felt like chatting with members in the small weight room area. The workers are a lot more lax working under him so it's not as clean anymore and weights are NEVER racked up. They NEVER enforce that rule, I am a small woman, it made my experience not great at all, racking up after huge men... ALL THE TIME just to get my workout started. Now that I have moved, I transferred to Colonial ATC and WOW what a difference. Colonial location is so clean, professional, and new-feeling. The weights are ALWAYS racked up... which says a lot when something small like that is immediately noticed. It makes for a better feeling of community and equal respect. read more

I had hip surgery the end of December and when I was through with physical therapy I thought I would go to a fitness club and continue working my muscles in my leg. I took a tour of the place and I was told what machines I would be using to do what I wanted to my muscles . I was given a three day pass and when I went I was totally messed up after the first hour. I ended up pulling the muscles in my hamstring and that's been two months ago and it's still killing me. My doctor has told me that all I can do is walk a little then sit a little. I am Using a cane and can't wait for the day that I don't have to ! !! read more

This gym is way overcrowded. Even when i visited at 9pm I had to wait for a spot at the free weights. I would often spend an hour in there using different machines and areas not because i wanted to but because they were the only ones available. The lay out is not ideal either. The equipment there is old. I preferred to not use several sets of the dumbbells because they were falling apart. If you have 2 hours to kill and only need to work out for an hour this might be the gym for you! read more

After paying the $100 setup fee I used the facility once in the Bartlett location and had to wait for a bike to ride. After riding I went into a very nasty bathroom and left immediately. Real nice gym, it's a small gym compare to others but real nice. It's a clean place, everybody in there is cool and nice, employees are trainers so if you need help you can ask them or another member. 24/7??? Can't ask for more they have free weights, cables machines, different types of bench presses, place to do squats, a section for abs, cardio machines, everything you need to get you in shape. read more

There are many gym memberships out there and I HIGHLY recommend that you look elsewhere. I had my membership for years with ATC, making all monthly payments in a timely fashion, including the more expensive annual rate each January that is included. When I heard word that I was moving to a community that had a gym included, I still decided to keep my membership for the tanning package. After unfortunate circumstances with personal health, I was no longer able to tan. At that point, I decided to cancel my membership. I reached out to the online site and put in my notice. This was done on October 15th. I had already paid for the month of October. Monthly my membership was about $27.00 dollars. Months after cancelling, I received a text from Corbin saying that they missed me, would like me to return, etc. This clearly demonstrated that they could directly contact me. I received a letter in the mail days ago from a collection agency stating that I was sent to collections for $148 from ATC fitness. I emailed the portal, asking them to contact me about this. David McGee called me and explained that my payment for November was not paid. (Granted I paid for the full month of October) He explained that there was a 30 day notice so I still owed through the 15th of November, paying that month as well. I said that was fine and I would like to made that payment of $27 for the monthly membership. He stated that I would now have to pay the entire $148 because it was sent to Collections. I informed him that I did not receive an email, call, text from anyone in the office about this balance. He said that they call from an 800 or an 888 number, not the office number that I have always directly talked to a represenative on. I informed him that due to all of the spam calls right now about car warranties and student loans, I do not receive 800 or 888 calls purposefully. I also mentioned that Corbin had texted me, so that channel was always open. I again requested to make the payment that is realistically due to the establishment. This request was denied. At the end of the day, this has demonstrated that ATC is a company that does not value their clients after they are no longer receiving funds from them. They show conduct in bad business, and lack ethics in a world where they are already dwindling. This is not a company that intends to show any good faith in the way they handle daily operations. I am highly dissappointed in the hiring of the personal and hope that in the future ATC will receive this constructive critisim and make improvements where they are DEFINITELY needed. What is especially ironic is that I am moving again and was actually going to need a membership once again and had every intention of going back to them.. certainly not anymore. read more

This is a great gym. Free weights, tons of weight machines, and large variety of cardio equipment. It is CLEAN, and the equipment is in good working order. I have rarely had to wait for a weight machine and never for cardio. Pretty good gym etiquette for the most part from the patrons. There are no Zumba, Yoga, Spin or Kickboxing classes here. It is just a gym. You will have some body builder types because they have heavy dumbbells, but you also have those who are working to get in shape. I have cancelled and restarted my membership several times over the years due to life circumstances, and have had NO problems with this company. The staff is helpful. Tons of locations for a very cheap price. I'm not sure why the low ratings unless there are unreasonable expectations. read more
