A few days later I noticed a a small stress fracture in the glass at the bottom of the screen. A small u shape. Then my screen started separating from the case. I never really noticed it separating because I always keep it in a leather fold over case. When I brought it back in I asked the girl if I could watch. Her response was "no, because I need my space." You're on a pagoda in a mall... Whatever, I went for a tea. She glued the screen back and I left. Now when I text my phone starts pressing the space bar, the return bar, and some of the letters next to them. I have to back out and wait a while before I can start back up. I took it back today and was told they could not warranty it because of the small fracture. The girl who repaired the screen separation was there so I asked why she repaired when it was there. She said she didn't remember me. That's not true, she knew who I was when I called on the phone not even an hour before. The stress fracture happened during the first install when the guy forced the screen on, that's why it separated from the case. The keys press themselves also because the screen was installed incorrectly. You can go there and pay $160ish for a new screen but there is no guarantee that it'll be done correctly. Save your money and go somewhere where the person working on your phone actually owns the business. Not some kid who could care less about the quality of the work and who "needs space" because probably if you witnessed the work done to your phone you'd object. I went to Moe, who told me there would be an initial diagnostic fee of $75 (with tax, $81.19) which would be applied toward the repair if I chose to proceed. He said it would take some time and that he would call me with an update. The next day, I had not heard anything, so I called him. He repeated that the $75 would go toward the repair if needed and that he would call me once it was ready. Later that afternoon, I called again--he said he had been about to call me and that the phone was ready. When I picked it up, the additional charge was $186.74, bringing my total to $267.93. When I got home, I noticed the phone was very hot and not charging.I called him immediately and instead of offering to fix it, he asked whether I was using a fast or slow charger, suggesting it might be a different issue. I tried charging it overnight, but it never powered up properly. After repeated attempts, I was able to get it to charge up to 80%, but the phone overheats, won't hold a charge longer than two hours, and stops charging entirely until it cools down. Because of these problems, I didn't feel comfortable going back. I went to my carrier instead, but they told me the phone I would need to replace the phone, the repair and use on non apple parts were contributing to the issue. I bought a new phone. At this point, I have an unusable phone, I paid $267.93 in good faith, and Moe refused to even discuss a refund. I understand small businesses have to stay in business but you also have to deliver what you say you will. He did not repair my phone and he refuses to accept any responsibility for it. Bottom line: save yourself the frustration. Go to an authorized repair shop or buy a new phone.

I stopped by to have Fernando take a look at my phone. It was working perfectly until suddenly I received a static screen. I did some research online and had my diagnose but wanted someone else to take a look at it. He opened up my phone (I guess this is what makes him a phone surgeon) and says that it's my phone screen and it needs to be replaced which will cost me about $110. This was way more than I was planning to spend and was not the diagnose I was expecting. Keep in mind, my phone worked perfectly fine until the static screen popped up. There are no cracks or scratches on my phone. Not agreeing with Fernando, I took the phone to another shop and only had to pay $59 for my repair. I had to get my usb flex cable change. This was almost half of what Fernando quoted me. Maybe Fernando honestly did not know what the issue was, and was just taking a guess. Maybe he saw me as someone he could make easy cash from. Make sure you do your research before you get anything fixed so people don't take advantage of you. I felt I would have been taken advantage of if I didn't know any better.

He opens the iPhone and then realizes he does not have the appropriate battery. Asks me to come back at a specific time and he's not there. After that I come back for the 3rd time and he's off to lunch. Finally the fourth time (I called before going over) and he opens the iPhone to realize he does was given the incorrect battery. At that point I went elsewhere - where they did it right and that too the first time. Went back to change phone service - told me he's done it before (which I should have realized meant that he'd considered it before) but had no idea what he was doing. I finally got the service provider to help resolve the issue (with no help from this guy - he wouldn't even call to make sure the issue was resolved). On the last time I called there he hung up and refused to pick up when I called. This guy has no idea what he's doing and I would recommend staying away. He is learning the business ..... and that too ... slowly ... very slowly.

This is a lovely little cell phone store right next to my gym, which offers very cheap service and pretty decent prices on repairs and accessories and whatnot. It's definitely cheaper than the likes of a Verizon store or not. I think they offered Cricket last time I checked, but in general it's a good little store for a low-income area and exactly what the area needs. And the fact that it's 30 seconds walk from the door of my gym makes it even better.
