This is a popular places for pintxos. All day you can get cold pintxos. I had the blue cheese and eggplant pintxos. The kitchen opens at 6:30 for the hot pintxos. The servers speak English and will help you if you have allergies. Good location in Old Town.

These are second time visiting San Sebastián and we always eat at this restaurant, The Best Food!! Make sure to try the eggplant, blood sausage and the Russian salad.

We had a quick lunch here and the atmosphere was very pleasant! We sat outside and it was right in front of a church! We just picked a few pintxos and a beer! Each of them had their own unique taste! The waitress that helped us overcharge 1 beer and 1 ice tea(8 euros), so make sure you check your bill before paying!

The pinxos were amazing. My first three picks--eggplant tapenade, goat cheeses and Jamon, blood pudding.

best gin tonics ever - each has a slightly different flavor profile we tried them all ha. Great pintxos and tapas as well - loved the octopus and the beef cheek, as well as the tomato salad.

Great tapas bar. They were open during "siesta time", so that worked great for me. I got a few inexpensive tapas and all of them were great. The staff was friendly and prompt with my order. Located in the old part of town, it's easily accessible to anyone walking around the area. Check it out. It has a large menu and good food.

My Dad and I had the BEST experience here during our 3 night stay in San Sebastián. Do not miss this place...it's a gem. Our darling server, Marta, took incredible care of us. We let her choose all our pintxos and she nailed all 6 of them, including desserts. She even scolded another server for delivering one of our pintxos because she wanted to tell us about it. And, she even let us take a photo with her. Cannot say enough about the food, service and atmosphere. My only regret is we were so enchanted by the entire experience I failed to properly document the food in pictures.

4.5 stars The selection of pintxos and raciones at Atari Gastroteka in San Sebastian's old town was rather small compared to other pintxo bars in the area, but the quality of the dishes was completely on point! We started with the Platillo Bonito, a small dish of tuna, anchovies, green olives, and pickled peppers. This was such a simple assortment of items, but each of the flavors was so distinct. The green olives were some of the sweetest olives I've ever had; the tuna was flaky and meaty, the anchovies were salty and umami, and the pickled peppers had a pleasant acidic, briney taste and a spicy kick! The Croqueta de Bacalao were two croquettes made with a creamy codfish batter (good but skippable), but the most impressive dish we ordered had to be the Pulpo a la Plancha, which featured a huge, thick, grilled octopus tentacle served over new potatoes, grilled onion/pepper, and a creamy red aioli-like sauce that was perfect for eating with the potatoes and dipping with bread. Parts of the octopus were a bit on the tough side, but the surface of the tentacles had a nice crispy edge.

First pintxos bar of my trip to San Sebastián and it was a good ease into the culture. Although, after eating at so many places I'd have to say this restaurant falls to the middle or bottom of the pack. The service was good, they spoke English and the interior is pretty spacious but beware, a lot of people reserve tables during dinner time so don't expect to be seated if you don't have a reservation. Lunch seemed to be an easier walk in ticket to score. We tried several dishes: Patatas bravas: not impressed with this dish, I've had better in my past Spain travels. They give you a tomato sauce/salsa kind of dip and an aioli to dip in. The tomato sauce was good but other than that not noteworthy. Grilled octopus: this dish was difficult, because one leg was cooked perfectly and one was chewy. The sauce was delicious though, but preferably with them properly cooked tail. Iberian ham croquettes: not my cup of tea, I love Iberian ham but this had so much cheese and lacked the simplicity or plain Iberian ham. Beef cheeks: the beef was tender but not a fan of the sauce. However, the mashed potatoes that were served with this dish were delightful. They were put in a soufflé dish and broiled before serving so the crust was crispy and the inside was nice and buttery.

The scallops were a main course but only had 5 scallops not starch or vegetables, great flavor. So both that ordered the scallops thought they should be more to the dish. The large prawns from Ecuador influence was delicious with basil and peanut sauce. Everyone said the Indian influenced butter chicken was best dish of the night. The pork potsticker from Vietnam Was really nice. The waiter we had took us on a great food journey during the description. The cocktails were great with a nice variety. The Bad: My group had a 4 star experience I had a 3 star experience. To start we were a party of 6 and they only brought 3 menus and they asked me for my order before I was even able to look at the menu. So having to wait on looking at the menu was rather rude in my opinion each customer should get a menu. So started off with a negative. Especially since they were asking us to order when 2-3 people hadn't even looked at the menu. The waiter should let everyone know to share the menus when they only bring three menus for a party of 6. I ordered the Wellington 2.0 It should be called .5 For me it wasn't an improvement on a beef Wellington it was not even half a beef Wellington. It was a take on Beef Wellington. But the puff pastry was an after thought that didn't even cover the top of my steak. They said the steak would be medium and recommended that. It was just below medium rare very blood. The broccoli was cooked okay but not really seasoned. I had never had parsnips but figured I would try something new it had foie Gras, also so I now know this combination is not for me. See photos So I don't recommend Wellington 2.0 Unless you just very rare medium rare, with parsnip purées and foie Gras.

This tiny, high‑energy bar in the Parte Vieja is famous for doing just a few things -- and doing them with absolute conviction. The lineup is legendary: the txuleta steak, the tomato salad, the Padrón peppers, and of course, the tortilla that sells out instantly. They make only two tortillas a day, and getting your name on the list feels like joining a local rite of passage. Here's the twist: although the tortilla is the most famous item, it actually wasn't our favorite version in the city. It's still fun to chase, still a cool story to tell, but the real stars of the meal were the steak -- charred, juicy, perfectly salted -- and the tomatoes, which taste like they've been engineered for maximum summer. They only make 2 tortillas a day, so you have to stand in line before they open to get a reservation for a slice. Inside, it's tiny, loud, and joyful. The staff runs the place with precision and a wink, and even when it's packed shoulder‑to‑shoulder, it feels like you're exactly where you're supposed to be. Come early, come hungry, and come ready for a meal that feels like a Basque rite of passage -- tortilla hype and all.
