On the first day of our arrival to San Sebastián, we asked the hotel to make a reservation for us to a restaurant nearby. They picked this restaurant which was walking distance to our hotel. We got to this place on time, actually the first customer. The staff were extraordinary and we truly felt welcomed. As matter of fact, our server said: "we are so delighted you chose our restaurant and we welcome you"; this is something I never heard in my life, particularly in European restaurants which the tip is included in the bill. The ambience really was great, the drink was super, we had a house special cocktail, which was very tasty as well. The food, appetizers, particularly Mediterranean one was delicious; and the main course, lamb, hamburger were really well prepared. I recommend this place very strongly and want to thank the staffs for making us feel at home. It is 4 1/2 stars!

We were able to make a reservation over the phone mid afternoon for around 8:30pm. We were seated promptly when we arrived, but we were a bit early. I think this might have led to some other tables being waited on faster than us, as we were one of the first groups to sit down and order drinks and appetizers, but groups beside us got their drinks and appetizers much more quickly. I got the special which was the Reuben sandwich which was very good. My fiancée got the jake which was really good. I also got a chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert which was very good. Overall a good experience and I would definitely eat here again, but hopefully get a little better service the next time.

Service 1 star Food 3 star It's best to make a reservation, especially on weekends. I came on a Sunday and was able to get a seat, but had to wait ~20 minutes. I hope they were understaffed that day and that service wasn't as slow as it actually was. Most of the 20 minutes spent waiting was just to get someone's attention so we could sit. Once seated, it took another 35 minutes to get the menu and someone's attention to take our order. About an hour and 15 minutes after we arrived at the restaurant, our food came out. Though you get a 3 course brunch, the portion sizes are fairly small, so you're left wanting more. The taste of the food didn't wow me either. If you're in San Sebastian and looking for good brunches, I'd suggest trying something else.

On a visit to San Sebastián, some friends and I stopped by La Madame for Sunday brunch. Absolutely incredible deal- it included fresh juice, coffee or tea, muffin or toast, a savory course, and a sweet course for only 20€! Everything we ate was delicious! I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time.

Make a reservation for weekend brunch, put on those stretchy pants and then roll on in for an hour or two of breakfast cocktails and a multi-course brunch. This isn't ordinary eggs on toast brunch territory. There's gigantic burst-your-arteries burgers with foie, pancakes or lighter options such as seared salmon and vegetables. It's all well made and generous and you'll be hard pressed to fit in the "dessert" course. The vibe here is a bit odd at brunch time. I imagine it's more suited to dark and noisy nights, and comes off a little stale and clinical in the day time. However, for a lazy (and possibly boozy) brunch on a weekend it's a great pick.

This restaurant is amazing, you must go!!! From the second I walked in the door, the service was incredible. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable (added bonus: they speak multiple languages, making it very easy to communicate). My server recommended the Foie Gras Nigiri (pictured) and it was life changing. Definitely one of the best dishes I've ever had!! I will have dreams about it until I'm back in San Sebastián and can have it again. Highly recommend.

Loved this place, the food & the ambiance. More for adults than families as it's a low-light bar-like atmosphere at night but I don't see why you can't bring children. Service was good, drink menu unique, and food choices from simple to fancy. I opted for the simple & was very pleased.

Awesome bar and restaurant. Would say the best and most favorite place I ate at in San Sebastián. Very attentive staff and the menu was excellent. Would absolutely recommend this place.

We were seated on the patio, surrounded by chain smokers. I know...I know. That's how it is in a lot of European cities. I get it, and I could have tolerated it for a bit, except that the service was horrible too. Nothing like our previous visit when we were greeted by friendly people. This time it seemed as though they didn't care to be bothered to serve anyone. I don't know if it was an off night. Either way, we left not long after arriving. It may be a post-pandemic thing, where people are overworked and tired. Hopefully it will improve as time goes on.

Mikel made us the most phenomenal mezcal drink and old fashioned we've had in a long time. Our mezcal cocktail, the Al Green, was tart and boozy - beautifully garnished with wasabi peas. Served in a coupe glass, it was a deep green, but tasted of the floral and bitter notes of the mezcal with citrus and savory notes. Any mezcal or margarita lover would love it. The old fashioned was served as it should be - with a massive rock and a heavy shake of bitters. The orange garnish and local cherry set off the bourbon perfectly. As we were a group of 8, we were happy to spread out into the small area and continue our celebrating our libations. So why do you ask, does this bar warrant 4*...well it's because the DJ was spinning the most awesome set of deep house!! As it rolled into 1-2am it got a little bit more crowded but I think this places doesn't really get bumping until 3am (it closes at 4-5am). So if you're up for some good house music (none of that progressive sh** either), come to Bar Arraun. Drinks are a little $$ but they are stiff.
