Not only did she have me so comfortable but, the way she delicately moved my head around as she moved through the service was like a beautifully orchestrated dance. I felt well taken care of as she checked in to ensure the pressure was ok or the water temperature was still exactly where I wanted it. I went into this service not researching too much and I'm glad I didn't as I LOVE a surprise. Even the eye mask was a special treat. I had no idea what I was in for not only did they inspect my scalp for inflammation dandruff etc they brought me back to lay down and my head hit like a square thing with water underneath it so they could wash and massage my hair it went from massaging my neck to my hands to my arms to my head and then I was hearing bells and the music I couldn't have asked for a better experience I was shocked I will definitely recommend this over a massage any day Thank you miracle Edward you are very professional And the treat at the end the drink with the collagen and oatmeal milk was a great touch along with another treat that I won't spoil read more

First, the lady working the front and the hair care provider were extremely nice and helpful in every way and if I were to rate them alone, they would get five stars I came here with my mom and we both got the 'Glory' service and it was not worth it for me. I was most concerned with my hair ends and I was happy with my how they turned out. However, the face cleanse, moisturizing and longer head massage were not enjoyable. This option came with a blow dry, which they did a little, but my mom and I both walked out with completely wet hair. I gave this place four tries before I ultimately decided it wasn't worth it. My biggest complaint is it just isn't consistent. They have a very detailed list of what each service is, but I never got everything that was listed. On my last visit, I didn't get anything more than what they offer in an express, even though I booked the signature. Only one time in my four visits did I get the neck & shoulder massage. Twice I tried to book a blowout (the style not just the dry) because I had an event after and wanted my hair to look good, and both times I left with the under part of my hair still wet and a very lackluster style. I had my first ever head spa experience at ATANA Head Spa, and I absolutely loved it. The salon was very clean, and their staff were so kind and friendly. It was such a peaceful environment that provided a nice break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. For my first visit, I chose to get their ATANA Signature treatment and saw Tracy. I really appreciated how patient she was with me when answering the numerous questions I had about the treatment, and about my hair and scalp. She did an amazing job explaining to me the purposes behind certain parts of the treatment/products used. She was also so gentle throughout the entire treatment that I found myself dozing off because of how relaxed I was. By the time we were done I could feel the difference in my scalp. I cannot say how much I absolutely love the service that I received at the spa. I just went in for the quick 45 minute service that I believe is about $79 and it was literally amazing. The artist that performed my services was so friendly. She was also super patient and explaining the whole process and talking about any recommendation suggestions and also providing a super relaxing experience. Vibes were great. Would not recommend due to price and quality of service. I'm 5'10" and the bed is not long enough and my feet were up against the wall the entire time!!! Very uncomfortable! Agree with previous reviews that the hands on massage was lacking - the person I had barely did anything. She had poor flow and the entire thing felt awkward. I had to come home and wash my face and hair as product was left and my hair was greasy underneath and in the sides by my ears. Just not worth the price for the level of service. read more

Unique experience. Very pricey. I did notice a huge difference in my hair heath weeks after my appointment. My hair was fuller and healthier looking. Felt great. The service was relaxing, I expected more scalp massage than what they provided for the Glory package, but overall it was a unique experience. Do NOT go to Atana! I purchased the Express scalp massage with a 30 minute massage for a birthday gift for my mom. She did not receive the massage or the extra 30 minutes I purchased. The owner got in contact with me. She offered her another appointment for her to receive the full scalp massage. Which was a very nice offer. Her appointment was on 11/30. She walked out telling me they were trying to make her pay for her visit. Grace was her hair therapist who ACCUSED my mom of STEALING HER COMB!! She then found it in her drawer! She then told my mom they give out the combs they use on the customers. Then my mom requested for warm water. The therapist said she had no choice so she used cold water to get the oils out. So why even ask the customers what temperature they want the water to be. Also, she also let my mom lay there while she just chat it up with her coworkers. My mom had to shout to get her attention. Since she was loosing time from her appointment. All Grace said to her was "it's fine, it's ok"!! I really wish I thought to read the reviews before making the appointment! I had an amazing experience at Atana's Head spa. This was my first time at a head spa so I didn't really know what to expect. Though I didn't have very many expectations my experience was beyond what I could've thought it would be. this was probably one of the most relaxing things l've ever done and did not want it to end. I saw Lex and she was so sweet and personable. I asked her several questions just trying to get some additional information about my scalp and she was so thorough with her explanations and explained everything to me as we went through the process, especially knowing it was my first time. I think I found what my new favorite thing is and that is getting a treatment at tana head spa. If you haven't gone or tried this before it is a must 10 out of 10 recommend! I have curly hair and I'm always skeptical about coming to places for the first time because you don't know how they're going to handle my hair but again I was super thrilled with my experience. I ended up getting the head bath shampoo and the pre-wash and those products are some of my favorites to use before showering since my appointment. I use growth oils on a pretty frequent basis and whenever I use them, it takes so many washes to get the oils out of my hair. My expectations were pretty high due to the high price of the service. I'll start off by saying they request you arrive early which my friend and I did (~10 min) but we sat there until 10 mins past our actual appt time anyway. They did a scalp analysis and what was supposed to be a scalp and shoulder massage (~1 min and way too light to even register). They took us back to the room (a tiny little space barely large enough for the poor attendant to fit behind the massage chair). My legs were falling asleep in the bizarrely designed chair. The music oscillated between normal and startlingly loud elevator music. The whole spa experience was underwhelming from using cold water, too light a touch including the short hand massage, and the specially curated hair mask smelled like vomit. The minute I finally started to enjoy it the service was over. I was led back out front and waited for my friend who took 10 mins more even though we got the same service and went back at the same time. A blow dry was included and yet after that I still left with damp hair. The farewell beverage was WAY TOO sweet both my friend and I threw it away. Realized when we got in the car that the service was supposed to be 75 min and yet we got home at the hour mark (I live around the corner)! I've washed my hair since and still smell the vomit mask and didn't even feel like my hair was that hydrated after all that fuss. My attendant was very sweet so I still tipped. I usually don't even register lavish spending, I'm a Taurus I enjoy the finer things in life but I can't help but feel like I wasted a LOT of money here. Wouldn't go again. Manage your expectations ladies or go somewhere fancy in Scottsdale where it's at least worth it. One thing I will say that I appreciated was that while waiting some old lady randomly started blasting her daily affirmations (you go girl but have some social awareness hellooo) and a worker did ask her to turn it off. Unfortunately, I will not be experiencing ATANA head spa treatment. I received a cancelation notification 59mins prior to my scheduled appointment. I live 52mins away from this location and needed to be there 10mins prior, per ATANA policy. An emergency occurred with my hairstylist this morning (which can happen). However, if an emergency happens with me as a client within 24hr notice, ATANA is covered with their cancelation policy to charge 50% of the service total. As a first time client, I was offered to reschedule and a free upgrade/add-on. Sometimes the client does not need free things to make it right. Travel time cost money. Time was wasted. Hair prep was done in advance of appointment. I booked an ATANA Express treatment which takes an estimated 45min. I was told every stylist was fully booked. Within a 10min turnaround speaking to the mgr and front desk receptionist, I am certain no calls were made to rectify the option of rescheduling another client in order for my appt to remain intact. I hope a last minute cancelation due to an unforseen emergency does not happen to you. ATANA's questionnaire requests that client state whether you have textured/kinky hair. If there is not more than one stylist that can handle that, how does that provide a benefit to a diverse public? I am not confident that I would have been protected from a 50% charge if I had had an emergency instead of my hairstylist. read more
