My wedding package came with a dress rental through At Romance. Booking them for appointments was super easy...you can book directly on their website. Speaking of website, they have pictures of their wedding dresses, so you can look and see what you want to try on before your appointment with them. Both May and Fanny are super helpful in dress selection and very patient. I tried on at least 10+ dresses before figuring out which one I wanted to go with. After you pick your dress, they'll help you put it on. They'll even help you take pictures with the best angles if you need with that. The rental process itself was pretty simple. After you say yes to the dress, you'll go back for a fit appointment where they'll measure you so they can fit the dress to your body. Next appointment is to try on the dress and see if anymore alterations are needed. Final appointment is to pick up the dress. This is where they will teach you how to put on the dress for your big day. Make sure to bring a friend or have them record it so you can refer back to video. No appointments needed to return the dress. Overall, I would highly recommend At Romance if you're about renting a wedding dress!
The best decision that I made while wedding planning was renting a dress from AT Romance. If you're thinking about renting a wedding dress, look no further! I went to every single studio that offered dress rentals. May & AT Romance are hands down the best wedding dress rental studio in the Bay Area. Their selection is vast, they have everything from ball gowns, to mermaid dresses, a lines, and even Chinese tea ceremony attire! There were so many dresses there that I loved that it was hard to pick one! All of her dresses are extremely high quality - you can tell by the intricate beading, high quality fabric, and amazing workmanship. May is extremely knowledgeable and honest and she really took the time to listen to what I wanted and I loved her feedback and thoughts. The dress rental price also included 2 veils, alterations (2 fittings), cleaning, and a hair piece. I honestly thought that the price we paid for the dress was extremely fair since alterations & dress dry cleaning can already be extremely costly. The entire process from pick up to drop off was so seamless and easy. May is extremely efficient and organized and it felt great knowing that I was in good hands. What truly sets May apart is her kindness and commitment to making you feel beautiful on your wedding day. 2 days before my wedding, I started feeling like my dress was a bit too tight on one area. I emailed May at 11pm and she responded instantaneously telling me to come in the next morning so she can check it out. She made adjustments right then and there on the spot and really helped ease my nerves. I accidentally ended up leaving the hairpiece there (it fell out of the dress bag) and she sent me a text and hand delivered it to me that same night. That really stood out to me and it just shows where May's heart is. She truly went above and beyond to make sure my special day was perfect. They also offer a ton of other wedding planning services here. Although I didn't get the chance to try those, May did let us take a few photos on the photobooth that they rent out! The photos looked very high quality and the photobooth itself was easy to use. They also had some florals in there for an upcoming event and they were absolutely beautiful! May puts her 110% into AT Romance and I can guarantee you that you're in good hands with whichever service you decide to book with them.

She has such an in-trend aesthetic and gave us so many thoughtful suggestions on the dress, decorations, and overall setup. Thanks to her, everything came together beautifully and felt exactly like what we had envisioned. AT Romance Bridal Studio is a small, boutique wedding dress studio in San Bruno City. There is street parking available on the main road, but if you park on the side streets (where the residential housing is), the road is somewhat narrow. I looked on yelp for "wedding dress rentals" and AT Romance was at the top of the list. To prepare for my appointment, I looked at the website and took note of which dresses I wanted to try on. You are sent a questionnaire (asking for general information) and a reminder for the appointment that you can schedule online. When you go in, make sure you take your shoes off; slippers are provided for you to wear. For my initial visit, I tried on 5-6 different dresses and I immediately found the one that I loved. The rental price was on the higher end, but this included my rental of the qi pao (Chinese wedding dress), two cushions, a hair piece and a tea pot set that was used for the tea ceremony and Chinese banquet. Overall, the money was well its worth because I had two lovely dresses and accessories that I used and didn't need to find space for after the wedding. May is the owner of AT Romance and she is a delight to work with! She's very friendly, sweet polite and professional. She is super organized and very knowledgeable on which dress would be the best fit for you. I highly recommend coming to AT Romance if you need a wedding dress for rental or purchase. This review is long overdue! I rented both my pre-wedding dress and wedding dress from At Romance, and the experience was wonderful. They offer so many beautiful options, from simple and modern to timeless and elegant. May was incredibly knowledgeable, answering all my questions with patience and expertise. At Romance came highly recommended to me by a few married friends and when it was my turn to get married, I of course checked out At Romance first. I was never going to buy my wedding dress, so I knew renting was the way to go. I made 2 appointments before I finally found my dress. May, the owner, is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about her dress inventory and bridal styling in general. She really helped me narrow down what style I wanted in our first appointment. My second appointment, I was mainly trying out the A-line styles I liked and finally picked the dress that I did. May even helped me pair 2 veils that would go with my dress. She does not double book so when you have your appointment, you get her undivided attention. The entire process from picking out my dress to pickup to drop off was so seamless and easy. I really appreciate the efficiency of it all, especially as a full-time working bride. The rental package includes the dress, two veils, and the cleaning fee. I had a December wedding and my ceremony happened in a garden. Although it wasn't raining, my dress got super muddy and it was such a good feeling knowing the dress could get dirty and my rental package covered it. Kept me stress-free all day on my wedding day! May was a pleasure to work with, very professional and personable. She really listens to you and tries to make your vision a reality. I highly recommend her to any bride looking to rent a white wedding dress and Chinese qipao/kwa. Super reasonable prices too. I paid around $600 and I think that was a great value for getting the dress and 2 veils (short and long). The wedding dresses range from $580-880 depending on what style of dress you choose. The bridal shop is in a great commercial area in San Bruno with ample street parking. The shop itself is very clean with slippers to change into. Attached some pictures of my wedding dress!

At Romance was where I found the dress of my dreams! I was very particular about wanting to rent my dress. I just really did not want to buy a gigantic wedding dress for one time use and then store it in the closet forever. However, since I was renting, I thought I would have to settle for a dress that's pretty, but not one that I LOVED. At Romance was the last shop I went to to find a dress. May was kind/knowledgeable and her styles were very different from the ones I've seen in other stores. Others were lacy and pretty but May even had very grand dresses! It was finally at May's shop where I felt like "This is definitely the one!" I'm so glad I got to have that moment. I got a ballgown, cathedral, sparkly dress and the detailing is superb. I cant imagine how many hours of labor it took! I think it had the longest train in the shop and of all the other shops I've seen. May even had a long veil to go with it to complete the look! Another thing I really wanted for my venue was a dance floor! May offers a 14 x 14 dancefloor with LED lights! II think people tend to overlook flooring, but it really goes a long way in making a venue look so much prettier! Well worth the money! Highly recommend At Romance!
Wedding dress shopping is something I wanted to do by myself, I'm very shy trying on clothes in front of people, but thanks to Wendy who helped me throughout the fitting without having to feel awkward. She's also a great photographer! she got all the angles and I think it is a very important skill in decision making. I loved my experience here, they give you time space, and full assistance during your fitting. I also didn't feel rushed or pressured into saying yes to the dress. May also assisted me in the beginning and end of my appointment, she's very transparent and eager to help out. I'm looking forward to coming back here for my second appointment (soon)
Highly recommend. They have such a variety of styles and dresses and are able to do some small alterations. Having gone to some other places, they have a large selection of dresses and are very friendly. May was super helpful and super kind during the stressful wedding planning time. I found my dream dress here AT Romance! I rented my white wedding gown here and it was such a great experience. I would have also wanted to rent other gowns (reception dress, Chinese gown) at this studio if I didn't already have them. When I was wedding gown shopping in early spring, I already went to a few bridal stores and was feeling a bit down by the wedding dress buying process. I finally googled "wedding dress rental" and booked an appointment with AT Romance. The moment I walked through the door, May was so friendly and fun to work with. She pulled many dresses for me to try on. I stopped trying on dresses after I found 3 contenders, but May wanted to make sure I saw all my options and said she was happy to pull more dresses if I wanted. I went home and made my decision on my dream dress the next day. After I paid the deposit, we had 2 fittings and I picked up the dress a few days before my wedding. My gown rental also came with 2 veils (one short/one long) and cleaning service. I wore my gown and everyone gave me so many compliments! The gown return process was super easy as well! I highly recommend this shop if anyone is looking to rent your wedding gown! Thank you May!! May also had a few other services too, I didn't use these services. However, I did see some floral arrangements for another client during my pick up appointment and they were BEAUTIFUL! I would have explored these services if I didn't already have my vendors booked.
Mei and her team at AT Romance Bridal offer spectacular value. I rented a dress for our destination wedding in Cabo and I cannot recommend this place more. The dress was stunning, a gorgeous veil was included with the rental, alterations were perfect, and they were willing to work with my unique schedule since I was leaving the country with the dress. I easily could have spent 5x what I did here. I am so grateful to have found this shop, and encourage any bride who doesn't want to purchase a one-time dress to visit! Thank you, Mei! If I could give 10 stars, I would! At Romance made our City Hall wedding photoshoot truly magical. We flew in from New York, and planning from across the country could have been stressful -- but May made everything feel effortless. She was so organized and responsive, and during our consultation she completely understood my vision of feeling like a princess with a gown and veil that would flow beautifully down the staircase while still flattering my petite frame. The second dress she pulled was the one, and I instantly felt stunning. Highly recommend also reserving San Francisco City Hall for two hours on a Saturday if you can to avoid the crowds and everyone else also taking pictures in the prime locations. At Romance's City Hall package covered absolutely everything: dress, veil, tiara, professional makeup, and two photographers -- all at an incredible price. Not having to coordinate multiple vendors was such a relief. The photographers reached out ahead of time to go over details and on the day of made us feel completely comfortable, guiding us through poses and capturing breathtaking shots on the grand staircase. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, romantic, and unforgettable. I would 100% recommend At Romance to anyone wanting a true one-stop shop and a dream City Hall wedding experience. read more

I have no words for how above and beyond AT ROMANCE was for our wedding! May was so amazingly nice, friendly, and wonderful to work with. Her selection of dresses were BEAUTIFUL. We selected the premium City Hall package w/ upgrade and it included 2 dress rentals and 2 tuxedo rentals and everything else we needed like a makeup artist, photographer, bouquet and boutonniere. May was also incredibly patient when I returned twice to re-select my City Hall dress. On the day of our wedding, Joey helped me with my hair and makeup and it turned out exactly like what I wanted. Jack and his assistant were also a pleasure to work with! He captured our photos in such a beautiful and artistic way. I highly recommend him and Joey to for makeup and photos! For our reception, May worked with my husband and I to come up with a beautiful design for our backdrops! As our wedding date approached, she coordinated with our reception restaurant directly and made the final wedding planning days a breeze! Our guests loved the pop of baby blue, white, and touches of baby pink. We also rented a photo booth from AT ROMANCE that our guests LOVED. Overall, I would recommend AT ROMANCE to anyone looking for anfull wedding package. The service and amazing skills provided were worth it and so much more. I went to a few places, but THIS is the place! I made an appointment not knowing what style I liked, and there were so many choices. May made my wedding gown experience easy and stress free. Not only was she patient, but she also took the time to understand my style and preferences. Her professional advice was extremely helpful, and she helped me find gowns that fit perfectly and made me feel absolutely stunning. I rented 3 wedding gowns in total, and with May's expert guidance, I left feeling confident with each choice. May and her team go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied! I first found AT Romance by searching about city hall weddings and their city hall package caught my eye. The price point is an amazing value, an after my wedding I believe that even more! From the beginning, May was extremely responsive and provided all the details about cost, planning, and schedule for the day of. I was a little nervous about dress shopping and trying them on but it was fun! May gives great feedback and suggestions and will work with you to find what you love. Her dress selection is GORGEOUS and great selection where I didn't feel too overwhelmed! For my makeup and hair I had Maggie, who was excellent and very skilled. She was very prepared and managed the tight schedule without any issues. I also have really long and thick hair and she magically got it into an elegant updo! I received many compliments on my hair and makeup from family and strangers on the day of! Our photographer at City Hall was Angus. I was very impressed from the start when he organized and planned a schedule for our first look, even with a nice diagram of where to meet and stand. We are very inexperienced with photoshoots and very nervous but Angus was so friendly, funny, and had amazing ideas to guide us! He knows city hall inside and out, managed us through the summer tourists and other couples to get great shots, and even has great relationships with other photographers we met! My whole family loved working with him and want to book him for their own photos! It is rare to have such high quality on all aspects from one place: dress, makeup, hair, and photography. I rented my wedding dress from At Romance and the whole process of trying, selecting, tailoring and using my dress was very smooth and straight forward. May has a catalog of the rentable dresses on her website that you can peruse and choose beforehand and this makes it easier and more efficient when you go in for the initial trying on of dresses. I found and fell in love with a dress during my first appointment and the follow up appointments to take measurements, tailor and try the dress on for final fit was so easy! The value of the dress was within my budget and considerably a steal! The pick up and drop off the dress was also quick and she allowed a friend of mine to be the one to drop it off since I was already out of town for my honeymoon when it was due back. The studio itself is beautiful and has a calm and welcoming atmosphere. May herself is very kind and responsive to any questions and requests I had. I had so many compliments on my dress and would definitely recommend any bride who is looking for a great deal on a rental dress and still wants to explore a variety of beautiful and quality opt. read more

I LOVED working with Mei to custom design my wedding dress. She was so patient, very communicative, and always gave the best suggestions without being pushy. Prices are super affordable. Mei truly listens to you and helps to bring your vision to life. I told her my favorite flowers were cherry blossoms and she found me the perfect Sakura lace. My birthstone is the diamond so of course we went diamond white. She added pockets and a slit and never got annoyed when I asked her to modify something--very professional. AT Romance offered 20% off any other purchases and I bought 6 bridesmaids dresses! All dresses came with free alterations and Mei always made the time to see us. Her studio was bright and clean and covid-safe. The sweet seamstress also works fast. I'm sad my wedding is over but thankful to have made a new friend and highly recommend AT Romance for your wedding needs! read more

I can't thank God enough for May! I looked all over Bay Area to find a place that allows me to rent my dress without any extra fuss. And then I found May and her beautiful studio; she goes the extra miles even though she doesn't have to! She gave me so many tips about how to walk, my shoes and even suggestions for where my mom can find her dress. You can feel her gentle soulful caring nature.
