This place is smaller, much more cozier. There were two chairs! Second, the attention to detail is higher. The soaking tubs for the feet are better and it's more about pedicure than a long massage. Third, the overall atmosphere is warm and cozy. Sometimes it might feel like you are in a grocery store at other places. Not here - warm, nice music (and it isn't spa music!), and very friendly people. It's worth a visit.

The service at At Nails is consistently stellar. My mani and pedi always looks fabulous and lasts for weeks. Stephen is still my guy. He is meticulous. He knows that I like my nails short and square, and I don't want cuticles cut, and incorporates that into my manicure without me needing to remind him. Also like that we have a nice greeting and catch up, but never feel the need for obligatory conversation. I consider my manicure and pedi as relaxation time, and for me, that means silence. When Stephen has been out, Don and the woman have done my nails with expert precision and results. The salon itself is bright and light filled, perfect for the massive orchid and Christmas cactus collection, expertly nurtured by Don. I swear, he is a master gardener! A plant whisperer! Don has created living art with moss covered tree trunks with orchids and cactus growing in the nooks and crannies, giving pops of bloom and color. I look forward to see what has bloomed and what is transpiring amongst the plants, as much as I am about getting my nails done! Five star service and experience consistently!

Made an appointment for 2 and we weren't seen until after 240 pushing back our dinner plans with our family. Strike one. They barely acknowledged that they were late. Strike two. Normally I wear my earbuds because I hate overhearing conversations, but I was with my husband. I don't care if you're speaking another language in front of me. I do, however, object to being ridiculed right in front of my face. And then paying for it. I will go on the record saying I am not a gargoyle nor do I need a sandblaster to get a proper pedicure. A cheese grater does just fine. Sadly, it should go without saying, that even if I were the mysterious Sasquatch from these parts out for her first mani-pedi in *ever*, these women had no business making fun of anyone. I believe we should uplift each other so I'm not going to mention what they looked like. But because I can, I will say they have a lot of chutzpah saying anything about anyone. I've never been a big fan of businesses pointing out their clients' flaws, or just as annoying, asking about their routine and no matter what they say, immediately saying, "oh no, that's all wrong, here buy this " That said, they're My cuticles. I religiously get my nails done so my hands don't look like bricklayer's. I know they're dry, but to have one say "cuticles" (their language) then one say to me, "you know you have thick cuticles!" And in a sneery way. Had I been another sort of person (and my husband wasn't there) there might have been words, or had I been terribly sensitive, I might've left and humiliated. Completely unprofessional. I could go on and say more about the entire pathetic experience, but this is the worst part of it. And of course, I didn't like my nails (neither did my husband) but forgot to take a pictures.
