Capital City Antique Mall came up in my search (well there was another but they are closed on Tuesdays), and I was very pleased to find that they were in a large warehouse with plenty of vendors. That just means tons of cool stuff to scour through! And indeed there was plenty of artifacts and fun finds to take my time perusing! There were a few items that I wanted but couldn't purchase for the sake of space or other reasons, but they were absolutely beautiful. The photos I've shared below are only scratching the surface of the gamut of items that you can find at the antique mall. I ended up purchasing some small items to add to my shelf of collectibles at home, including my very first glass insulator. The staff are nice and everything is quite reasonably priced compared to CA antique stores. We will definitely be revisiting Capital City Antique Mall the next time we are in SLC!

It's such a joy to wander around here and explore their vintage clothing, jewelry, knick knacks, and nearly anything you can dream of - all at an affordable price. Not only do they sell antique items, but I spotted some displays of locally crafted earrings and newer items in awesome condition. I come here to find a unique gift for special loved ones and always leave with more than what I was looking for. The employees are super friendly, which is a huge bonus. Thousands of dollars now spent at Glovers each year due to my recommendation. Today I called to special order some flats of Lamium in the flower color I needed. They said they had 2 flats of the color I wanted in stock, so I went. I was genuinely shocked to find that the stock they referred me to was mostly or partially dead. How unprofessional is that to bring me out there for sickly product instead of letting me order something healthy? I only found four 4packs that didn't look dead or sick. When I went to check out I felt like I should pass along my experience to someone in charge. I requested a 50% discount on the only decent purple 4 packs I could find to offset my inconvenience of time and gas for making the trip based on what I was told they had. That was too demanding of a request by the logic of the manager. Told him I spend way too much money there to be treated like my years of loyalty don't matter. The manager pulled up my account and scoffed at the thousands I've spent, telling me that others spend more. Is this where we're at with Glovers? Are we only respecting the patronage of billionaires now? I told him I felt insulted by that, but he wearing his fighter hat and not his customer service hat, and literally told me he has no problem with the dead stock out there because people still buy them. Just wow. I feel like I'd be compromising my basic self-respect if I ever showed my face there ever again, so congratulations Glovers: you just lost a regular annual customer who was happy to spend thousands every single year (apparently an underwhelming dollar amount, as your manager says) because you could not admit a clear communication error, or discount a *teeny tiny* purchase as a gesture that you value me as a customer. Everything was riding on principle today. #FAIL. PS: I adore the cashier with long braids, and I've found every cashier to be nice and pleasant. I also have gratitude for the workers who have happily given the plants in my cart fresh water to ensure they didn't dry out while I shopped. Sad how one guy in charge with a chip on his shoulder can undo all those years of patronage.

This toy store literally has a little of everything. If you collect any kind of toy, this store might have it. They did have a decent amount of Transformers for sale. My husband likes to have his toys new in a box and the ones that are available were the ones my husband already had. There was a Soundwave that was played with and out of the box. As much as they were asking for, my husband probably could find a new one in the box if he really tried. They were asking for decent amount for a used toy. This toy store was dope. The gentleman that helped us was really nice. We ended up not finding anything that we truly wanted but that doesn't mean you won't find your gem here. Some vendors had unique goods, but honestly, most of them looked like they were simply reselling clothes they bought from thrift stores. It would've been great if I would've found an old Utah shirt, but I wasn't able to find one. I did get this super cute vest for $5! Critical- Again, most of the clothes looked like they were just bought from a thrift store to be resold. Many prices weren't marked on racks. And cash only entrance, so I had to pull money out of the ATM, which costed me more than the $3 admission fee.

It was the perfect flea...so many different…read morebooths, music, a few food trucks, and lots of fun vintage finds. such a great location amidst boarded up buildings and old warehouses. LIke everything else here, this area is changing, and the flea moved about two years ago. When I visited the location at the Gateway, it didn't even seem like the same market. First, they charge an admission fee. Everything is also very spread out among the gateway buildings and outside areas. Many more booths with clothing that was more flea and less vintagey. Hardly any really unique booths. A few of the older vendors you might recognize, but the vibe is just very different.
