While most Ace Hardware stores are similar, they are independently owned and each has their local flavor. While stopping here to have a window screen replaced (Tom is the best and replaces in real time or by the next day) I found so many other items I didn't know I needed! Haha. In the garden section I found whimsical yard art and handmade aprons, one for me with bright cherry sunflowers; and a classy black and white version for a friend. Never to early to start Christmas shopping! The store has supplies for electrical, plumbing and carpentry work. Also small kitchen appliances, gadgets and cookware. Large selection of outdoor grills and BBQs. Garden supplies, soil, perennials and annuals. Shoveld, brooms, shears and other garden tools. They even have a Hallmark section with gifts and go cards. Plus locally made cards with the most gorgeous photographs of birds, wildlife, flowers and scenery from the Gorge. Yep, had to buy a few! While I have shopped at many Ace Hardware stores and have a loyalty number, for some reason it wasn't showing up. Even though the store was busy, the cashier helped me get it resolved. I have purchased two saws, supplies, fittings from this location over the years. Usually spending at least $100 or more. I come back today to drop one off to get serviced and overhauled only to be told it would be a month before I could get my saw serviced. It wasn't it'll be a month as you leave it , rather come back in a month and see where we are at. I asked as to why the delay. I was given some excuse as to why they didn't have the help etc. I asked if the owner of this facility was aware of this situation as well as Stihl as they are an authorized service center. There was no real response to that. I asked if I came back a month from now what guarantee I wouldn't be told the same month delay. I was told I couldn't be guaranteed that. So this being a round robin conversation I advised that this is really a lack of customer service on Sawyers. Not only is sawyers ACE losing my planned $1000.00 dollar purchase of other equipment spend and spend on repair. I will never set foot in this Sawyers store again for anything. I will also be following up with Stihl in regards to their dealership contracts and what's expected of their dealers. Guess I won't buy Stihl anymore. It is exactly this lack of customer service that will hinder local business. Oh yeah I was told I could go to Toppenish or Gresham to have my saw serviced. I really don't think the gentleman running this service side really is looking out for the interest of the success of the owner and this business. You might consider putting some good people in place to fix your saws faster. This is really unfortunate.

The budtenders are attentive and knowledgeable, and make good recommendations. The flower is fairly priced and of a high quality. Good selection of concentrates. Glass is also cheap and good quality. All around a solid place. Having worked in the cannabis industry both as a dispensary and a grow, one of the most challenging aspects of running a shop is keeping high quality fresh flower consistently in stock. Cannabis is a seasonal crop and what is available to sell in the store is dependent on lots of factors like where we are at the growing cycle, what farmers are growing and how much demand there is. Especially as a smaller store selling their own flower there will naturally be times when they have more or less flower in specific strains simply due to the supply and demand chains of cannabis. Still from my impression of going to this store every day for a week they do a good job of keeping high quality product in stock across the board and also provide excellent product knowledge and customer service. I'm tired of getting old house brands pushed on me for pre-rolls, when I ask the staff for…read more"something fresh" in pre-rolls. No less than 5 times in the last year have I gone in and asked what is good, and for something fresh in pre-rolls, the first 2 times stating exactly that, the last 3 times I have specifically told the bud-tender, "no older than 6 months". With my wife and my dog as my witness last night, I said those words and went off the bud-tender's recommendation. What did I get? Two house brand (Frontier Farms) joints recommended by the bud-tender as "fresh" that were 10 and 13 months old. I don't know if there is a locals handshake you need to give to make them listen to you or what, but the last 5 times I have said the aforementioned words, I have come away with some or all of the pre-rolls I purchased that were house brands at almost a year old, with my most recent purchase being over a year old. Yes, it's my fault for not being a condescending dick and saying, "read the harvest date to me" when they pull it out of the case, but I shouldn't have to if I've already told them "no older than 6 months". In the case last night, 12/1, my wife will back me up that the bud-tender said, "oh yeah, the Sweeties are super fresh." As you will see in the picture, it was not, and it was recognized as being old as soon as I lit up and took the first harsh drag; I then looked at the date of harvest. I get it, I don't stop in often or spend a lot of cash when I am there, but it is convenient and I enjoy the soda selection, not to mention, the staff is always friendly, but all they want to do is push old weed that is their own "house brand" on people. I know it can be tough to run a business from growing to retail with scale being the hardest balance, but pushing your own stale weed that your ag side of the business over grew does not help your retail side a year later in gaining/maintaining return customers. Flush that old crap and start anew, or sell it to the tourists in the summer, not the locals who specifically ask for better. I'll go to Evergreen from now on.
