Wish I could give it negative stars. I went in to add a new line of service. It was the only place that had the phone selection I wanted. The following is a breakdown. 1) rep added monthly add ons to my account without my permission. 2) i asked rep to remove those add ons, they claimed they did, but after calling AT&T, i found out they did not. 3) rep did not ensure the phone was activated when handing me a box. phone wasn't even opened. I asked for the rep to verify and seemed to be a problem. 4) rep skipped through all the early stages of activation/setting up phone, requiring me to do a lot of extra work for my first android. I had to sit there when the rep helped another person, trying to set up and verify my new line was active. On my own. 5) there was a Samsung promotion on accessories, I was not offered any accessories and so was not able to get the 50% off, since they had to be bundled. 6) I was not even given a bag. another rep offered a bag before i left. 7) i was not explained about the $35 activation fee. or what my new bill would be after this line was activated. or that there would be a partial. i was not even told what the monthly cost of the phone was and what my bill would be moving forward. I have plans to purchase a watch, earbuds, pen and the ring for my new Samsung, however I will not go here and could not recommend this place for anything. I did contact the store and spoke with a "manager", however im not sure how far that will go. and ATT online cant do much because this is not a corporate store. read more

Krista at the Sanford ATT store was so kind and patient and helpful. She helped us with a fairly complicated transaction and really took her time with us. Not too crazy about the folks on the other end of the general ATT customer service line but the folks working in the Sanford store are great. Also, shout out to Cameron at the Sanford ATT store who was very kind and helpful when I called with questions. read more

If I could give any lower rating, I would. Horrible service by the manager, and his first instinct is to not help and say no. We left without getting help and went to the AT&T store in Fayetteville which was amazing. Do not waste your time going to this backwoods no service place. read more

I'd give no stars if I could. They couldn't activate my new phone or move it back to previous provider. Left me with no service for 10 hours THEN refused to wave the activation fee of $30, they said they couldn't do that from the store. I called ATT, they said only the point of sale can do it. If I could rate this store a -10 I really would. I wish I would've read these reviews before I set foot in this store. ​​​February 12, 2020, I opened a new account with AT&T online. I purchased an iPhone 256GB olive green. The phone arrived at my house on February 20th and I activated my line immediately. Since I recently relocated to Sanford, North Carolina, I requested to open my account with a new number rather than my old one being transferred. AT&T was offering a special - if you gave them your old phone you will receive a credit of up to $700. I decided I wanted to take advantage of this offer and went to the retail store on March 1, 2020. Kyle was the cashier who was there to assist me that day, to help me. After entering my information and checking my phone, he stated I was approved for credit amounting in a total of $700. ​This $700 would be processed as installment payments on my account after two billing cycles, therefore, starting May 2020. I got a receipt with the total amount of $225 - when I noticed this amount I immediately questioned it and was told by this rep. that all the information was in their system - the total approved still remained $700. Fast forward to May, I receive a bill for the full amount (billing service plus installment phone) - I figured I would wait until June - giving this entire transaction the benefit of the doubt. June's bill arrives and once again no credit is applied. ​ I contacted AT&T customer care who stated they had not received my trade-in phone and this is why they were not applying my credit. I explained, the phone was given to the employee at the store and provided them with all the details on my receipt. The AT&T representative filed a claim and advised it would take up to two weeks to investigate if further information was required I would receive a phone call. Overall, if no call or email was sent to me, this meant I would begin to receive the $20.83 installment credits each month. July 3rd arrives and my auto pay transaction is processed at the total amount, once again. I was extremely frustrated not only because I felt like I was being ripped off but the customer service is pathetically weak. Everyone tells you something different and it's literally a game of the blind leading the blind with no solutions. I escalated this matter all the way to the highest management available who was able to apply a credit in the amount of $500 to my account after 3 hours of going back and forth. This same manager explained to me the store would be responsible for the remaining credit and contacted the store manager, Meredith. The three of us were on a three-way phone call and the store manager from the AT&T explained to me she had notated my account and would get this approved - to allow her 2-3 weeks to hear back from her because she had to escalate this. ​July 29th- no call, no update. I contact the store and turns out the store manager is on leave of absences and no one knows anything about my credit. I begin to explain the situation to the rep who cuts me off to explain that he can't help me and to contact his district manager for any help I need. Contacted Chanel Trevor's- AT&T district manager, explained everything to her and she said she would get back to me with an update - never does! At this point, I just want my phone back & they can have their credit. But of course, the phone is missing - therefore this is not an option. I contact the store again, and I get to talk to Tyson K. who explains they had escalated this and it was denied. Yet, if I don't call them to follow up, not one person would notify me. Tyson Kyle explained they are currently short on people and this is why my situation is not taking priority and the store manager that was there previously was not shipping the phones back to the AT&T corp- this is why he was no longer with the company. According to him, I'm not the only one dealing with this situation. The new store manager, Meredith was on leave for two months due to back surgery. Tyson also explained I was lucky of even getting $500 because the offer was expired when I had gone to their store. ​Why was this all new to me? Why the receipt offering me the $700? Why did the store manager on July 3rd acknowledge this was a sales error and she would ensure it was taken care of? Now August 8th I called again. Customer care is sending me to the store, the district manager is not answering my calls and the store is telling me there is nothing they can do- even though they understand this was their mistake. I was told there wasn't a corporate.. I go online and found an address to corporate. Reading their reviews online now, I highly regret giving this company my business and I'm disappointed for not checking them before setting foot in there. I will continue to escalate this until I receive a solution. We agreed to $700 and I have the receipt as my proof. read more

If it gave me the option to give them a 0 star, I would. They close extremely early and not only that, I just got a phone and I asked the guy I wanted to get a different area code and he said it's too last. After that he said I can just call att customer service to have it change with no charge MEANING FREE. I honestly don't know who this store is still open. I'd use other words but Yelp won't let me. They need to change a lot of stuff. read more
