Can't a mega company like AT&T figure out a better brick-and-mortar service philosophy than THIS ? I normally don't leave negative reviews, but this experience calls for one. Manager and young lady that initially helped me were nice and helpful. Then I got passed off to a little guy with long hair who disappeared to the bathroom for 10 minutes while helping me (I had to ask one of his coworkers to go looking for him) and when he finally returned without an apology, he proceeded to find a nearly imperceptible, minor cosmetic flaw with my trade in phone that other staff helping me previously did not see (nor did I) before they helped me transfer my data. My phone was inspected 3 previous times by 3 different staff members. I found it nit-picky for this young man to point out the "flaw" after I'd already bought the new phone and been in-store for 2 hours trying to get it to work. So now I won't be getting full credit for my otherwise flawless phone because someone's trying to look useful. If there's a flaw in my phone, fine. Show me up front so I can make a decision based on that. Don't wait until right before I'm about to leave after spending 2 hours in-store because my new phone wouldn't work. Feels like the old bait and switch. Long, unpleasant, unprofessional experience all around. Would be one star if not for the positive experience with the staff members that were initially helping me. I called the store with some concerns in regards to a purchase and receiving items, and asked to speak to the district manager. I was directed to speak to Justin the manager who was in a meeting at that time, and I was told that I would get a call back. I left my number and the person towards the end of the call was extremely rude after asking me what I was calling in regards to. it is the end of the day yet to hear from the manager. The issue being there was a bait and switch with the purchase of new iPhone 16. I was told that I needed to pre-order it and then I was charged upgrade fee and then come to find out they had them in the store on the release date and I still have to wait till the 11th of October before I it is even shipped. read more

I signed up for a plan with 3 phones and was quoted a monthly price for their service. First Bill was over 3 times this amount! 2nd Bill was supposedly going to be less than original quoted price and was $60 more. My phone dropped calls constantly on one end of call. I could hear or other party could, but call continued. One of the other phones will hardly ever take a charge. Used different chargers along the way. 2 out of 3 phones have issues and monthly bill is not what I was told. I attempted to cancel everything due to lack of service and false bill pricing. Even the manager blew this matter off and twisted it so it looked like monthly quote was possible. Only way to cancel is to pay off phones(2 of which had issues). That is NOT cancelling!! I was told that I can go through a series of hoops to get phone warrantied and based on my irritation of them FAILING, told me I could find out how to remedy this on my own! Terrible employees! Sickening! I'd rather use a two tin cans and string than at&t! Fortunately for them, they don't have to stand behind their actions because the corporations get to control the outcome with money! It would be nice if the "customer service" representatives were actually helpful. She had no problem taking our money for the new iPhone, but wanted us to rush out the door and activate it at home. She was obviously annoyed when we asked for it to be completed in store. Next time we will order online and do it at home just to avoid rude employees. read more

Don't waste your precious time here. They don't care unless you are there to buy. Went there with a major Facebook problem. They told me we don't work with Facebook. Could/would not help me. I am major handicapped and went there to see if I could reconnect with my 2000 students on my new iPad. They don't deserve your business. read more

Employees were rude. Chatting away for about 25 minutes while a line starts forming out the door and never acknowledges the customers or explains the wait. When one guy left I walk up to the snotty bitch who was ignoring me and asked a question. She in a bitchy internet voice told me I had a few people in front of me which was a godamn lie. I looked behind me and said what people? She said "at least one". Another godamn lie. I left. She looked too stupid to help me anyway. Don't waste your time with these losers. I was excited to receive instructions that At&t had the ability to suspend accounts for soldiers going on deployment with no charge, as long as you have active orders. About a week before I was schedule to leave my family for a year, I went to this office (with orders in hand) to inquire about their policy. I was quickly pushed back outside with a corporate phone number in hand (annoying, but no big deal). I call and tell them my situation, they suspend my account within 5 minutes, AWESOME!....... but actually, after being at my station for 2 months I am still being charged. I'm forced to reach out to corporate again (who's representative had a terrible attitude) to rectify this situation. She gave me a hard time about reimbursing my charges, and all of this could have been avoided if the Rapid City office would have done their job the correct way the first time. Now I am having to take time out of my deployment to deal with this instead of focus on my mission. Thankfully, I have the ability to do this, but what about our soldiers who wouldn't have? read more

Disappointed with the service. I had a question after following all of the at home instructions and trying to call twice. My phone was not working properly and when I got to the store, I was pretty much written off and told to do things I had already tried. It was pretty obvious he just wanted me out of there. Drove 40 minutes just for that and got zero service. read more

On October 8, 2018, I visited the Rapid City, South Dakota store with a problem getting delivery of a new phone. The associate there, KATHERINE "TATE" ABBOTT was the one who helped me. It was a complicated problem and she sat with me for over an hour as we called customer support and FedEx trying to resolve the issue. In the end, the issue was resolved, and everything worked out well. They treated me great and took the time to help me. Great job. read more

After escalating a customer service issue to the store manager, she refused to believe the customers side of the story and instead adamantly insisted that the store rep "would never offer the package" we were offered and accepted, only to be charged an completely incorrect amount. And then were told "there's nothing we can do here, you'll have to call customer service yourself." Unacceptable. read more

I was just looking for a charger cord for my vehicle there's a sign out front that they offer curbside service because of this Covid19 in no way shape or form does that sign either say or imply that that is the only service you will get. when I tried to walk in a gentleman met me at the door give me a hell of an attitude and acted like I should know that the sign meant you can't come in that is curbside service only even though it didn't say that his attitude was unnecessary And all It did was convince me to give another store my money congratulations AT&T that's about Mark 10 against your company keep up the good work. You're extremely poor service with your phones convinced me to go to another company for a cell phone contract and in doing so I convinced about five of my friends to switch as well while I do that every time I let my friends know every time I have a problem with anybody and just about every time I've had a problem with AT&T I let my friends know and then usually about five more that won't deal with AT&T anymore well I've had about 10 problems so far so that's 50 customers. if you think the attitude of this gentleman is more important than your money, then congratulations, your plan is working. read more

An AT&T sales person accompanied the Direct TV repairman to our home, and proceeded to tell us just how much better their service was than Verizon's. Between their promise to save us close to $100/month and offering my husband a "free" I-Phone 8 (that we're paying $15/month - for two years - for the upgrade as he wanted a bigger phone) we made the switch, bundling with AT&T. (Savings never came!!) First problem - only one computer at a time could access the internet. Sales rep came over and resolved that more or less, still a little difficult, but better. Then the bill came - she hooked us up to a second phone line without permission or even informing us! Cancelled that line and the internet and land line services. We're stuck with AT&T with intermittent cell service until October . . . Our customer service experience - AT&T has a long way to go. read more
