That was the extent of the diagnostic portion of my visit. Told me it needed to be soldered, the charge would be $150 and they'd have to send it out. Estimate repair time would be 2 weeks. I could not believe $150 to solder and 2 freaking weeks?! When I questioned this he looked at me like I was a moron. That lost my business and I walked out. Took it to Fix Max - repaired at their store by replacing the port in 1 day for $90.

The manager, George Rodriguez, was able to set us up with new phones and new plans, while multitasking and single-handedly managing and running the entire store on his own. Coincidentally, I had the benefit of George's assistance at the AT&T South Omaha store only a half a year ago and recall his excellent service there too! The store is neat, clean, offers of variety of products in a comfortable atmosphere. Everything offered is a solid value. Free Wi-Fi is also available while you wait. Highly recommend this store over any Apple Store experience.

Couple days later screen separate from body of phone and part of screen is turning black at the separation. Two stores in Omaha wouldn't service screen under warranty. Looking at over 318$ in repair and 60$ in replacement case/screen protector, cost of time and travel, stress as well. In my opinion, a screen should not separate from the phone body unless it was not sealed correctly. Attached picture of current state of phone with no visible damage other than screen black spot. Update, on July 16th the phone stopped working overnight, the last known location of the phone was at 5am in the morning. There was no other damages to the phone. The phone will no longer charge or display anything.

In my hurry I did not research pricing ahead of time and was shocked by AT&T's monthly rate compared to my current plan with another provider. To his credit, Greg was very understanding and did not try to oversell or take advantage of my haste. I was very pleased with his approach which reflected very favorably on the company (which really should do something about its prepaid pricing). As for the previous reviewer's complaint: I would have been pleasantly surprised if an employee anticipated my needs as Greg did; no need to get irritated/rude when someone tries to help . . . but that's just me :-)

There was no pay kiosk, so I stood in line to wait for someone who was free. GREG, who was with 2 adults and a child, asked me over everyone across the room if I was looking for a kiosk. I said yes. He said, "We don't have those anymore." (and that was it) I asked him how I was supposed to pay a bill if the website was not letting me do it. I was irritated but not rude. He then RUDELY said like I was 5 yrs old, "Well, I can help you with that, but you need to change your attitude." I gave him the wha? look, and he said I was being rude and if I didn't like it I could go elsewhere. I went to look at his badge, and only his first name was on it, no employee ID #. I asked him his last name so I could file a complaint; he said, "I don't have to tell you". I said, " Well, legally you do." He said he didn't and continued to be rude. I looked on the AT&T website, they don't have to give you their last name, probably due to the fact that they don't want to be outed for rudeness. This was the cherry on a nasty sundae I've been getting from AT&T for a couple years. Price hikes constantly, go in and then they try to give you a deal, paying your bill online is PIA, and customer service is nonexistent, unless you're a new customer. NOW THIS TOO. Bye-bye AT&T.
