Horrible experience with "Lindsey" went to turn in a phone for a recently deceased relative. Wouldn't look up the account, wouldn't engage a manager, wouldn't provide any service. I was the only customer in the store with two techs and one rep. WOW, horrible horrible service, no empathy, no respect. Time to leave ATT. read more

This store will add services to your account without you asking for an add-on. You will be billed without any recourse. Beware. They do not have your best interest in mind. Go elsewhere and take your chances there. Maybe even stay away from AT&T all together. read more

By far one of the nicest at&t stores with the friendliest staff! I'm very surprised by all the negative reviews. Went to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Nic was beyond kind and helpful! We had to order the phone and wait for it to come in but arrived much quicker than expected. Nic was available the day the phone arrived to process my trade-in and setup my phone. I came into this location November 6, 2020 to upgrade my iPhone 10XS to the iPhone 11 Pro. I called before coming in. The girl on the phone told me they had one more phone left in the color and model I wanted and she said she would put it to the side for me. (I don't remember the names of the 3 employees I worked with) A few hours later, I arrived and was greeted by a man who sat myself & my boyfriend down and started to help but seemed to be distracted and handed us off to a woman. She came up to us and right away she had a very bad attitude. I told her I had called and a phone was put off to the side for me and she tried to argue that they don't do that. I showed that I had made the call and told her who I spoke to and she reluctantly went and looked, and clearly, she found it. This is where the mess starts. The phone I had, needed to be upgraded early. I had about $200 give or take I owed on it so I figured I would just pay it off & upgrade. I explained this and told her I wanted the new phone with the same plan, the Unlimited Extra, and to pay off the old one. She was trying to push all of these promotions and I was starting to get overwhelmed as I had simply asked to pay off the old phone and get the same plan on the new one. After declining all of the promotions, she told me I could pay the old phone off in 30 days if I wanted, I opted for this option so I wasn't tight on cash the rest of the week. She gave me a paper with a bunch if numbers on it, which I didn't really understand all I saw was the $134.00 I typically paid monthly and figured as long as the phone was paid off within the month I was okay & didn't think much of it. I just assumed she was having a bad day or something and that's why she had such an attitude. So I paid $50 to upgrade and another $50 for 2 phone cases and a screen protecter at the visit with intention of paying the upgrade within 30 days. Fast forward the 30 days are coming up so I went to see if there was on online option to pay off the other phone and to my surprise I found that my upcoming bill was much higher than what I usually pay, and a SECOND line on my account!! She had knocked my plan down to a basic starter plan for both lines coming out to $60 each. After all of typical fees for both phones & the activation fees & what not it came out to $299.93! I was expecting a little more than the $134 with the one time fee for my new phone. The old phone was attached to one line and the new one attached to another line. I called the store and they referred me to customer service. After being on hold for two hours, I tried to chat online & that was beyond useless. Because I had waited until a few days before the 30 days to pay, my schedule didn't allow me to get to the store in time and all of the other resources I tried to use were useless, I had to shell out $300 for a line I didn't even know existed on top of the other line. Right at the holidays too, & in the midst of a pandemic. Classy. I went to the Southbury store to get this straightened out and they were absolutely great. They explained that she should have never added a line and essentially did this to get commission. Pathetic. I paid the $191.49 to pay the phone off in the store and had to pay an additional charge for $75 to CANCEL the extra line on my most current bill. They told me this was the only option to rectify this unfortunately. Because of this employee, I have now shelled out $345 EXTRA for 2 full bill cycles and the cancellation of the second line. Who knows what that $50 charge was for at the visit but if we include that I am $395 in when it should have been about $200. At this rate, I want this headache to be over with and do not want to start another mess of trying to get my money back. But if I can save someone from being fooled, then that matters more to me. This is my first negative visit with Newington after being a customer for years & they have lost my business. Southbury is top notch & they will be my go to from now on. read more

This has got to be the only AT&T store that I have ever been into where I wasn't offered help the minute I walked through the door. Generally I find that attribute annoying, but on this day, I actually needed help. I was looking for a particular type of case for my iphone and some screen protectors. I wandered the store for a bit. Stared a couple of sales people that were just talking to one another on the floor. Finally found the area that I was looking for. There were two sales people standing right there chit chatting. Neither asked me if I needed help. I gave them a dirty look and grabbed what I needed it. This store only gets points because the case I was looking for was 50% off and the guy at the register was kind enough to put on my screen protectors because I refuse to learn how to put them on myself. read more

The staff at this location seemed helpful and friendly. They earned the stars. The online appointment system, though, is another matter. I made an appointment for 6:00pm. I was in the area around 5:30, and I could tell he store wasn't busy, so I went in anyway, and they helped me out. Then I found out that because it's New Year's Day, the store closes at 6:00! So if I had shown up at my appointment time, I'd've been pretty irritated. Note to AT&T: the Apple Store has a great online appointment system, and you seem to be attempting to replicate that. But there's more to it than just having the option to make any appointment you want online. You have to actually have the stores open and the staff available at the designated time. read more

Terrible service! We had an appointment at 4:30pm. We got there and checked in but no one was available to assist us. What's the point of an appointment in that case especially during COVID? AT&T advertises that they are taking extra precaution because of COVID but I noticed people walking around touching the phones and screens and no one was wiping down anything. We have been to this store two times before and both times we left without getting anything done here because they are so disorganized. read more

If there was an option to leave zero stars I would! I went into this location 3 months ago to see how much it would cost to add a line for my son. I was told by a crooked sales woman that with a current promo I would get a free iPhone 7 and after enrolling in e-billing it would cost me an extra $15 a month. Next bill - $65 more a month. Next bill after that - $65 a month. I called AT&T to find out why my bill was so much more. Turns out that woman LIED to me to get the commission!!! No free phone, monthly installments. Not the same savings she said I would get one billing. Not the accurate monthly price of an extra line. AND to make matters worse... after an hour and a half of speaking to managers and the 'loyalty department' the best they could do is offer me $5 off a month!!! SERIOUSLY!!??!! I was LIED TO, and after 10 years of on time $150 a month payments that's all you can do!?!? WHAT AN INSULT! Went to Verizon - they took my phone and upgraded my son's phone 7 to a new 11 for FREE!!! PEACE OUT ATT!!! I'll take my business to where they value me as a customer!!! read more

Don't bother scheduling an appointment because they won't adhere to it. It was unbelievable how they sign you in, literally before you have a chance to open the door; but then you sit there for a good hour before someone will help you. It's pathetic how slow the service is and how flawed their appointment system is. I will definitely not be coming back anytime soon. Go to Apple if you're getting an iPhone!! read more

Honestly, 90% of my experiences here have been bad. Most of the employees are not friendly or helpful. It seems like a huge bother for them to figure out a situation no matter what it is. Recently I stopped in to talk about an early wireless upgrade and I was just given rude remarks how they don't have the authority to do so. I understand if you can't do it but the friendliness and helpfulness was nonexistent. The worst part is the management, specifically the young sales manager. He speaks extremely condescendingly and rude. It's as if you're a complete waste of his time. Having said all, that there are a couple there that seem like they're happy to see you and are can be helpful. I might have reviewed this store at 2 or 3 stars if it were just a few of the sales reps being rude. But when the management, the ones who should know better, are treating you this poorly.. Is it possible to give a negative? Never ever go here. Go to WestFarms instead. These people screwed up mothers DirectTv so bad that they eventually just said "there's nothing we can do" and the manager (Justin) would hide in the back room and send someone else out. What kind of manager does that? She switched plans so they swapped boxes. Didn't need to do that. ATT actually says they don't want their people doing that. Then they kept billing for the old account. Told us not to pay it obviously. ATT turned off her TV. So we had to pay to get it back. Then they shut it off again because she didn't pay her current bill which she wasn't supposed to pay because they put a credit on it from her last account. One week of "working on it" and eventually they stopped calling us and wouldn't return calls or wouldn't talk to us. Seriously. They aren't qualified. Go to a different ATT. It's worth the trip. Eventually I resolved it in 45 minutes on the phone. read more

If I could give no stars I would, I went there three times in total, first two were okay, third time I went in to exchange a case, the guy kept trying to get me to buy a case I didn't like, a screen protector I didn't need, and a car charger. I politely declined and went with a case I liked. His whole demeanor changed and was rude the rest of my transaction. He kept saying how that case was horrible and my phone would break. I was told I would receive a survey about my experience and I did not so that's why I came to Yelp. I will never be going back to this store ever again. You lost a customer. read more

Slick sales man never informed us of all charges involved with the phones, never clearly explained the monthly fees for the phone cases and chargers.never us the option purchase there or else ware.Never fully explained how much we would pay monthly. I have been going to this store for years and have ALWAYS had the best service. They always take their time with me and are always able to help me with what I need. From the time i walk into the store to the time I leave I am always treated with enthusiasm and knowledge. I will continue to use AT&T and always go to that store. read more
