I went in to the store to upgrade my phone. Didn't want anything fancy- just needed a working phone. I was told if I upgraded our plan and traded in my current phone, I'd be eligible for $800+ credit towards a new phone. Did the plan upgrade which went fine. Then came the trade in where my phone data and info was instantly transferred to the new phone and my old phone deleted. Once that was already done- the associate told me "oh no, the promo is already over". So basically told me that they couldn't give me the $800 credit. I was very upset, as that was not what I agreed to. The associate called their manager and I was told they would look into it. The next day I got a voicemail from the associate stating that said they were "shit out of luck" getting me the promo. Angry, I called back and asked for an explanation with no further info. I called the manager multiple times to get more information with no answer and no call-back. I ended up reaching out to Verizon corporate who kindly took care of things for me. But absolutely no attempt by this store was made to make this right. Super disappointed, and won't be returning. I would recommend driving to Boise to a proper Verizon store over this third party place.
